>100kb As you can see only 1 core peaks at around 70%, other 3 cores usually stays below 50% and rarely go any higher, while gpu usage stays very low. (which would indicate cpu bottleneck, but then again why 3 other cores have pretty low usage?) Can anyone do some more tests? It looks like multithreading is not working properly. (also very low cpu temp is a usefull indicator aswell, in full stress my cpu goes to around 55C) Edit: Here is another screenshot with absolutely every possible graphic setting @ low / off with min. draw distance: >100kb And for the record, i would like to remind that my rig is in recommended requirements specification. Here is the issue on feedback tracker: http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=716

It's not the first, nor the last time. I guess mods are living in some different reality, anyway thanks for answering - cant wait. :)

So what's happening? This thread was kinda dead for the last 2 weeks.

Steam Problems, If you can, Please help!
k3lt replied to Irishman's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Where did you purchased it, directly from Steam, BiS website or? -
Same here, in any MP mission @ Altis im rarely over 20 fps in major cities/villages/airports no matter what, obviously in SP it's better but only if there is no AI. And ofc the intensive fighting, explosions, FX completely kill framerates even below 15 fps. Specs in sig, every possible cpu intensive setting @ low, with view distances at about 1k. The faster devs acknowledge this game is broken performance wise, the better for everyone. And Dwarden please, before you post it's the broken missions / scripts - what about BiS host a server on Altis with 60+ ppl, with their own mission and scripts so we can test it and see how better it is then.

You dont even need any AI for fps to nose dive, just enter major village like Agia Marina. (even in editor)

2017 - Official Announcement!
k3lt replied to kleutscher's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Welcome to BiS forums. -
Yeah, what a shocker. It's not like we are discussing it for almost a year. And he didn't say anything new. Also it was like first time since pre-alpha where one of the devs from BiS actually adressed it, good timing. (im excluding Dwarden posts which basically kept repeating "we are working on it")
-
For now they dont even bother to comment on it.
-
Only if you're GPU bottlenecked, which is extremely rare with this engine.
-
AA has 0 impact on CPU.
-
The performance issues are 1 thing, but what pissess me off even more is basically 0 communication from BIS side about it. Eithere here http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=716 or here http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147533-Low-CPU-utilization-amp-Low-FPS/page191 "We are working on it" is not answer, because so far i dont see any improvements since Alpha.

re: Beyond recommended requirements - Terrible Performance
k3lt replied to fabio_chavez's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
I run with object/terrain detail at lowest settings with 1k/800m view/detail distance. In your opinion, those settings too high for recommended system specs? Or should i play with everything turned off/low in windowed mode @ 320x240 resolution? -

k3lt replied to fabio_chavez's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
It has nothing to do with AI pathfinding (or not much atleast), in open fields i'm getting nearly 60fps most of the time but when i enter major city (even without AI) my fps drops by a half to 30 and below. (Agia Marina is very good example) Rendering cities/villages is the biggest performance hit in my opinion, not ai calculations. This is from my experience. -

You mean 60 AI spread all over the map? Try to put 60 AI fighting each other in Kavala and check fps. I bet it will dip into some low 30's even with your overclocked i7 2600k. -
BIS should sell Arma 3 with LN2 carnisters.
-
From latest sitrep: So i guess this is the "performance fix" they figured out after a year? :icon_lol: And still no single word about the blog mentioned like half year ago? Nothing about abyssmal cpu/gpu utilization or terrible performance in mp? So i guess after 3 years this is still actual: ps. It was already tested and proved that HDD wont get you a single fps, there were numerous people that ran the game from RAMDISK's which are MUCH faster than SSD's. At best it will improve loading times and decrease "micro-stuttering" compared to low-end 5400rpm HDD's. I dont even know why am i talking to myself since this thread is on devs ignore list, just as the whole issue including feedback tracker. Anyway as expected.

How to avoid GPU underclock in multiplayer?

Or any other game. -

You can put 3 Titans into your rig and fps will remain the same because you're CPU bound. -
Since recent update 5-10FPS on higher end machine

RV Engine. -
You just joined less populated server probably.
-
It's set correctly, it's the game problem.

Not so funny when you realize that you spent money on it. ;) -
http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=716 Yeah, we are all delusional. Wake up kiddo.

Without specs it's pointless discussion, i'm on well over recommended system specs and i cannot maintain even 30 fps with 1k view distance in many parts of Stratis/Altis and thats on empty editor with no AI. If i put 40 AI to fight each other in Agia Marina (editor) it dips well below 20 fps. If i have 20 fps in mutliplayer it's a miracle.
