I've been watching the last two pages of this thread with much interest. As a user of Rarek's beautiful piece of work on our Arma server I also have a valid concern in this case. The ability to mod the game is the intention of Bohemia. The community can make what they want with the games' code limitations. This is then uploaded onto the server structure and then downloaded as a mission file to our PC. We don't have to grant permission or sign T&C to download mission files. When it's on my machine it's mine. Coding is a talent blessed upon the fortunate and only those that work for game makers are ever paid for their efforts. However, I confessed to Rarek that we were using his mission file. All he asked was that homage to AhoyWorld/ Rarek was maintained. I promised to go one step further and donate some funds to his community (it's coming, Rarek :) ) So we altered the mission with BSM branding and left the salute to Rarek in place. It's the least we can do. What we have altered is an Arma 3 mission file. Rarek created this mission from an Arma 2 mod idea but he didn't rip the code, otherwise someone would rip the Arma 2 Insurgency mod by Veteran Gaming like for like. He had to create it from scratch so how Xeno can state his work has been stolen is beyond me. It's like saying that Dyson have stolen Hoover's idea because they made a machine for sucking dust off the floor!

Would it be possible to introduce the ability to see roles of players in the Players list? This is to identify who squad leaders are, pilots and medics, etc. Is this a possibility?

As you can see by the screen shots. Someone has taken it upon themselves to port over the Arma 2 news feature and trashed our server. A server reboot cleared the event so this will mean something to those in the know. Our admins are pulling their hair out. What's been said above is true regarding the sensible "nature" of Arma gamers. The majority are good guys and they play the game as it is intended, working together, using comms, playing the objectives, etc. For our community the success of our Arma 3 hosting depends very heavily upon having an RCON program that can be used to keep our server clean. :) British Sergeants' Mess - Very much looking forward to the Beta and full release.

Roger that. I am a server admin and I use the left shift + P to kick (unruly) dudes but hey ho, the issue carried over from Arma 2. I keep forgetting how modifiable the game is. I think this one might not be fixable for the reason you said. Sent by brasilianfart cloud

I find it very frustrating that a squad leader is unable to control who is in his squad or manipulate its soldiers into roles. Example 1. The fire team medic leaves the game. A squad member volunteers to take that role. Why can't the Team Leader switch that players role for them without him having to leave the game. Example 2. Waste of Slot. A squad member refuses to work with the squad thus weakening the unit. A better player is available and willing to take his place. Why can't the TL remove that player and reallocate his slot with the volunteer? Example 3. Key role number 1. The pilot who has been ferrying troops from base to AO and AO to base has to leave. There is a replacement available. Why can't the SL place the pilot in the slot? It is possible? Sent by brasilianfart cloud

Feedback from our provider. "The Arma 3 VPS has used 732GB (0.73TB) in 12 days and by the looks of it that's increasing. Current usage is about 150GB per day of which I'd estimate 100GB is Arma 3. I'll try and get some more accurate monitoring sorted. " Sent by brasilianfart cloud

Since the update all of our missions are now broken. I couldn't find the code changes anywhere. Is it only the galken/ ifrit that was changed?
