@MR11B Think i had the same issues with starting OA from my desktop shortcut after installing a new dayz patch with sixupdater. "Couldn creat direct3d..." and if i started six launcher to get to OA main menue i could try to start the campaign (or anything else from the maingame) but it crashes to desktop. Found a txt file in ...\arma2\Expansion\beta that helped me solivng the problem. " - You are running the Arma2OA.exe from your "Expansion\beta" folder. - You have "Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" in your modfolder as in -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion example: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead\Expansion\beta\armaOA2.exe" -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion - Make sure the shortcut's "Start In" section refers to main "ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead" main working folder and NOT "ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead/beta" example: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead" " so i added the -mod=expansionblahblah to the shortcut and now i can start from desktop again. :) Only weired thing i could not proceed the oa campaign mission3 (several dayz errors occure?!) and hat to start at mission 2 again. But now i can resume mission3 in the campaign. Hope it will Help you. Excuse my bad english...:D
