Have you tried updating your graphics driver? Or you can messing with the video settings in game to see it gets any better for you.

Did it work for you? I'm just wondering because I figured that out on my own so wondering if it works for anyone else besides me.

First of all do you have a digital or hard copy of the game?

I would try updating graphics driver to see if that helps with the shader problem.

I had this same problem when I started playing the other day what you do is open up steam, go to library, right click on arma II operation arrowhead, click on properties, click on the local files tab, then click on the verify integrity of game cache button and it should fix that file for you. If the problem persists try doing the same thing with arma II. Hope this helps and if not let me know.

I just bought ArmA II: Combined Operations today on steam and when it was done installing I tried playing and it popped up this error message: "Data file too short 'addons\debugging.pbo'. Expected 1092528237 B, got 644874240 B." Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it? Because it won't let me play at all. **Fixed*** Just open steam > library > right click on operation arrowhead and click properties, go to local files and click on verify integrity of game cache and it should fix those files.
