  1. I was finding the UNSUNG official site. In http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12267 i found the URL http://www.armanam.com/.

    I tried to visit it but failed, so I searched it with google. And it says,

  2. Emm, Kju, do you mean a limited common library of game ArmA1/2/OA that we the modellers can, by default in most places, #include with like the @cba, in order to make use the former work in Arma-MOD'ing society;

    Or a workspace where you and I can voluntarily contribute a model/texture/config/script or anything unlimited raw towards in our P:/ folders, so that anyone can quote or even copy and be free to use it in his work without(though some declaration of reference made) contacting us in person and vice versa?

    Either way I like this idea. /LOL

    I read the thread again and am confused with the license APL. If modder has to provide source under APL, then no asking is need to reuse the source because sources are already packed and given, though indirectly if it is argued, to everyone in PBO files. And it's not the case what it is now, or it will not be a must that I have to ask and wait for months before I get permission. I would been eager to tear down weapon models from released mods to use in mines if it is the case. LOL

    And the version problems. What if I updated my work and people who use it found their work outdated and bugged? E.G. I changed bullet speed and their scope becomes no more accurate, or I upload a new model and their mussle turn out to be wrong. There is much more communication needed, and even though they may not know it before it is too late.

    Then it comes to the servers. What if one load both MOD A and MOD B which use the same file of different version? And how should I set up my server when one use HQ variant of a mod while the other use a LQ one? I am quite confused and I appreciate who can answer it.


  3. Hi, Hiddenzone, nice to see you here. We once met in VME forum and talked something about making chinese troops for a Mod of Sino-Jap war in WW2.

    Recently, I couldn't log in there for failure of verification for some reason unkown, and just getting my screens of PLA addon posted here. Yeah, usually, only we native guys could tell what the real chinese faces should look like.

    Actually, these faces are from the addon of VME Mod and they are very nice to use.

    What is your ID there? Maybe I can help you communicate with the admins and fix it.

    Or we can talk on QQ. I've PM'ed my QQ number to you.

    BTW are you interested in making a good mod together for any of the wars of China, like Sino-Japanese/Civil/Korean/Vietnam war, or the fictional Soviet-PRC one?

    Great Chinese People's Liberation Army in style of late 60s, just planning to make some addons for the game of Sino-Soviet boarder confict during that period.

    This is really an awesome mod! I've never see one as real as this one, most of which just have an asia face far from a Chinese face. And what a rustic grenade satchel! LOL.

    BTW do you have an account in VME and speaks Chinese? We (You, Pavel Volonsky and I) can have further discussions there in Manderine, I think.

    This is really awesome man. Finally some Chinese units. Yeah.

    Keep up the good work. It's really a pity that in the whole ArmA collection there's not 1 single mod that covers the Korean war.

    Currently I am working on a Korean War Mod which is based on the Battle of Triangle Hill. And its name is "Triangle Hill in Korea"(THK).

    This is the terrain I've just made - An ALPHA one though with no roads and rivers and buildings and plants yet.

    (However it doesn't matter much, for the villages were all destroyed and roads were no better than trails ,according to AMS L751. LOL)

    The THK project is at a standstill now because I am not skilled in modelling yet. Could you help find PVA and UN units? Great thanks.

    Maybe you can get help from them or even, join their team and incorporate your addon to their mod.

    Just a thought.

    What do you think of it between UNSUNG and VTE(Vietnam the Experience)? I wonder which of them has a better set of Russian weapons and vehicles.

  6. Hi, everyone,

    I notice that M249 will not change the model of magazine when using 30rnd Mag rather than 100rnd chain,in AA/OA.

    But I know some MOD can add scopes or GL to the weapons(by changing models I guess) in game.

    So is there any MOD can let this MG show the right Mag? And how does it work?

    Someone at Armaholic told me that this would only work with swapping the weapon. but he do not know if there is any M249 model with attached 30rnd magazine.

    So, It sounds like that there are some tricks to change model using according to the magazine being used in game?

    For example, what should I do after patching two models of PPSh into one PBO file, one with a 35rnd Mag, the other with a 71rnd Drum?
