There is a major issue with Arma 2 CO which was not addressed by new 1.63 update. It is missile detection for choppers and planes. I tested all air vehicles and there are 26 out of total 55 air vehicles which completely lack any missile detection whatsoever. In this state plane like A-10 is completely useless, flying transport in Blackhawk is suicide. I am playing this game for a long time and i moved to Steam version coz i hoped issues like this will be addressed. When can we expect this to be fixed? Are we gonna see any more updates for Arma 2? For me this is a major issue and i will repeat again if anyone missed my point. 50% of all air vehicles in Arma 2 completely lake any missile detection whatsoever. Thanks. Solved it finally. When installing game on Steam i did not run it with admin rights so PwS was telling me no game installed. Run Arma and OA once with admin and installed CO.

Hallo Sickboy I have recently switched to steam just to get new update (1.63) and since than i am unable to get my PwS start and running. On steam i got Arma X and my Arma 2 it is installed in 2 separate folders, Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. Normally when i start OA in Steam i basically running COmbined. So problem is i am unable to run Combined Operations in PwS. I can run Arma 2 or OA but cant figure how to run them bout together. When i run OA in PwS it starts only Operation Arrowhead, BAF and PMC. I need help mate.

I have problems with r5 (10.05.2014). MP or editor, my missions or Bohemia i am getting this error: iniDB isn't running. Cant access role selection. and [bIS_fnc_moduleCurator] Curator owner not defined, player used instead in singleplayer. lest one also appearing in main menu. In one of my missions even spawn unconscious. Mission is working in vanilla, with CBA, in MP with old r20_MCC so it is definitely issue with new r5.

Let's put it shorter how do i update PwS client?

I have a question about Play withSix update process. Since i installed PwS my version is same 1.3.0.476. When i try to update - tools/check for update/check for update it wont update and i see lot of new versions stable and bata. Is my auto update not working is there auto update or i should update manually? How to update manually? :o

Modifying domination is not ease so if you don't know what are you doing don't even try coz you can easily brake it. I did same thing few times and it was not fun. Don't know what are you trying to change but my advice would be don't touch anything from original in editor add your stuff like vehicles or ammo... Check that domination does not require some addons or mods. If you explain what are you trying to do change i can halp more. Good luck. Dont use export to make Pbo. I use Eliteness tool. You can get it here. Just extract .exe and get Eliteness.exe and DePbo.dll in same folder.

Good work guys so far my favorite west fixed wing in Arma 2. I know it is not ACE compatible... but i was testing it today with ACE and i was rearming on exchangeable armament system out side hangar and it works fine but eventually you loose ability to rearm main cannon (maybe flares to). I've tried every thing but when you lose it once cant rearm it any more. Only way to rearm cannon after that is to reset load on ammo truck.

There are still lot of addons that are not available on PwS. So i am curious ho is adding new ones on PwS are you guys picking what you want or addon makers need to contact you first? Can we players suggest or add some mods? Please explain it to me. There are some good new addons like F/A 18 Super Hornet by John_Spartan & Saul...

ddave For grenade throw: check under ACE options and try to switch to all (there are 3 mods to select try all) And if you are getting "stuck" in 3D: use Enter on NumPad to switch from 3th person to 1th. Also 0 on NumPad can switch view in vehicles sometimes. So Enter and 0.

I have found bug or conflict between MCC and yup_uh60 (US Army Blackhawks-beta 1.3). It turns US army faction to EAST side what is clearly shown when you try to spawn group or even single soldier in 3D editor. When i spawn one of them in front of me my squad does not recognize him as enemy but he is us so it will kill us every time. Same for armor or choppers. And under US Army(WEST) are only YuraPetrov Blackhawks nothing else. I was using PwS only ACE/ACRE addons + yup_uh60 and MCC.

Try to change mods installation directory and try it out. I don't see why you could not have 2 or more mod directories and switch between them.

Thanks ParaGraphic L Wow. Installed it from first try can't believe it was so easy. When i remember installing ACE first time... my hair still hurts :) Now i only need some link for that will explain in detail all changes you can make in settings area. Also did not find any good installation guide so i used TWC ACE/ACRE installation guide. They claim that that PwS does not support ACR-DLC which i have so i did not click ACR not to mess something. Wont to know is that true or not? If true why not? ACR has some cool vehicles and planes.

I think i will give a try to PwS but before i do i have few questions. My plan is to use PwS only to get latest ACE and to be able join servers that use latest version. Nothing else i would prefer to play vanilla Arma 2 without PwS. After install: 1) Can i launch regular Arma 2(vanilla) without PwS launcher? 2) If i choose to install PwS mods in different folder can i leave my mods and addons in C:\Games\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 3) I wont play ACE all the time so my question is will i have problems joining regular no mods servers?

First thanks for a good work Sickboy on best mod for Arma 2. It has been long Six months waiting new stable version...:depressed: I must ask you two things. Can you confirm that there will be one more (last) stable version and if yes when? I hope it will be before Christmas. Continue the good work on Arma 3.

I am editing domination 1.62 and trying to pick up ammo box with engineer truck (MtvrSalvage_DES_EP1). I have added truck in i_client but i don't see message that ammo is picked up when i am on ammo point nor do i see ammo drop menu option? I did the same thing with few choppers and it works but trucks no. Plus i have 3 Strikers_M2 that get message that ammo box is picked up but no menu option to drop box. Can someone help me out and point me to right files i need to edit if it is simple i can figure it out. I wont object to complete solution to this simple problem. ;) Thanks

This realty works i tried it after JACEM49 and User destroyed game i have set. After this User guy tried to connect next 5 hours and he was kicked every time.

If the Play with Six is the only way to get the latest verson i must say that i dont like that. I will whate for stable version. Sickboy can you try to explain what is the deal with the Six Updater and now Play with Six. I have seen that peaple are advised to use it just to make things ease for tham self, but adding new mods to Arma is child's play just making few folders and dragging with mouse. When someone treats ppl like they are morons i get suspicious. If they just wont to make some money i understand that but if not i don't know? Why do we need it in this form? I am playing 1.13 version for a long time and i would like to update ACE to 1.14 RC but without SixUpdater or Joma i wont to install it manually. Thing is that i cant find :o any links for download not on Dev Heaven page where i have registered nor on ACE Wiki where download does not work but only redirects. Yas it is working perfectly. :) But my pc is not working any more. Yesterday i played domination on TAW server. Only reason i played there coz i wonted to practice my flying skills thing i can do on 7Cav server coz i don't have headset (on 7cav server you have to be on teamspek to fly). I would not recommend to anyone to play on TOW they are plagued with TK and hackers. You cant literally stay more that 1 min in base without someone blow you up in sky and it seams that TAW could care less. So after few AO game glitched and we could not take any camp in Chak-Chak that is when i noticed that is only 6 or 7 people still play. Than i get this message from battle eye how this days there is more hackers, cheaters and how they trying to battle this... And i thought how they do that. Maybe they hack hackers and spy on all of us non hackers. Then i realized that maybe some of this hackers or Battle Eye action could compromise health of my pc just to be safe i have alt/tab game and disabled game mode in antivirus. Not much longer i disconnected. When i booted pc today i got a warning message from Bitdefender "][/url] Can Arma 2 compromise health of mine pc? Why is Bitdefender suddenly says it is malicious? Can someone use Arma 2 as backdoor access and maybe spy on us? I would like to know what do you bohemians think about this or did you had any similar experience with arma 2. Wow that is horrible :D I have learned that when things go this bad in Arma 2 there is only one thing to do. And that is reinstallation. If you opt for uninstall clean registry delete all arma files if there are some left (delete your arma user files to after you back up them). You did note mentioned what version of arma you have, Steam or not? Before new install update your graphic and other drivers. When installing make sure you disable antivirus and install with admin rights. And after all that you will never no mater what hardware you have have a game that looks like Crysis. I feel your pain. Mine config is similar to yours GTX680,16GB,i7-2600K and i have some glitches that should en be there and when in MP things go frantic mine fps drops to 30 so you are not alone :) Lets all hope Arma 3 change this. ---------- Post added at 18:34 ---------- Previous post was at 18:24 ---------- Buy Arma X: Anniversary Edition it is cheap considering what you get.
