I look forward to the 8x8, and the other wonderful items I know you have in store for the community. Currently using a MAN HX77, to fulfill the current roll. Addendum. Purely a paper MTO&E, though you may or may-not find any of them interesting or inspirational. Considering the island nature of Sahrani, I change some of the items used; no model changes, just paper. Vehicles Alvis Stalwart "Stolly", Fuchs BAT, AAVP7A1, D7H, Stryker MC, M88A2, Planes AV8B II Plus, Bell 206, MV-22, Jas-39 Gripen Ships LHD & LPD, LCAC, Landing Craft UAV RQ-11, MQ-8B, Pchela-1AT, Ka-137 Field Kitchen (no MKT models have been made) KP-125 ATGM Milan/Eryx Red Brigade BMP-3 BTR-90 T80U

Wld427 What was the inspiration for using the Iveco and Pinzgauer models vs. Bedford, Renault, Oshkosh, Mercedes-Benz, etc? Even though development has ceased, (to my knowledge,) was there ever any plans to further develop the service-support and higher level logistical assets...if yes, what was envisioned as appropriate for the PRACS TO&E? Thanks once again for all the hard-work that was put into the creation of this mod. It continues to enjoy a lot of use; bar-none one of the best out there.

wld427. What was your vision as to size of the PRACS, w/r/t both regional and extended projection? I know I had mentioned it in the past, but was there to be any re-skin of the AV-8B for the Racs? The Etendards are great, but require either a fixed facility or CVN, where-as an LHD is more economical for a smaller regional island power wishing to project regional sea superiority of shipping lanes. If not, that is ok. I have been using them as-is w/Racs pilots. Some weapons couldn't be used, though the lugs are NATO standard, (and ArmA2 doesn't take it into consideration,) for the sake of realism the software wouldn't be part of the AV-8Bs repertoire without upgrade.

Map of the Green Sea Region (CZ75-Version)
mannequin replied to LuzifR's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Reshmaan Province is marketed as being somewhere near Takistan, and considering the distances involved, I placed it East, towards Chenarus, between the Salak Darya and Svetlaya rivers. Additionally Aliabad is marketed as similar, but a coastal. You might be able to squeeze in just East of the Yergan Darya river? Between Qom Provience and the Takistan border, the PMC 51km Desert desert terrain fits nicely, and keeps in tune with the deserted theme for the area running to Qom. It would be an easy flip to place Reshmaan East and PMC West, and the distances will more closely match the map. -
Normally not a glamor pic sort of person, but I will include a few from the CPX. There are also a few from FSX, with RSAF skins, but not sure if you wanted those are just ArmA? M1 battery firing, Chahardu Ridge Bulldozer being brought back from a location, for future movement by C130 to another area. First set, from a lengthy mixed relief convoy.

wld - Now you have me genuinely curious. What are the honest aeronautical and technological points about the F35 that spawn such hatred? egg - I have not had a similar issue, but it is nice to know there was one, what it was, and that it has been fixed. Were you running other mods with it?
-
Sorry to read the news that it has be discontinued for A2, as this mod has been put to good use over the last year, in opposition to the TKA.
-
Mozel Tov! From what I have read on this forum, the RACS are still in high demand. As I have stated, for the CPX arena the work you have done with the PRACS and TK extensions has borne fruit, on numerous occasions. Outside of minor issues, (CS/CSS,) those are easy work-arounds using attach-to--to put a small crate on Pinzgauer to simulate a FRS, or to place a trailer to simulate a SATS, SEW, HSTRU, MKT-90, etc. There remains a lot of life in ArmA2OA/CO, and nothing about 3 thrills me enough to waste coin on it. As for the rest. Their politics mean nothing, and doesn't change the price of tea in Micronesia, or anywhere else.
-
RACS are not involved in Lingor.
-
cc. those were being used along with other stand-alone, was curious if others were planned. Right now I am using one of the M250 to drop a shipping containers designated as a mobile hospital/clinic - CSH point, giving the medivac vehicles, centralized areas to remove wounded to. Same concept in being used for LRPs, FARPs, etc. Similar in a warfare fashion were (x) CS/CSS unit of a specific type can construct a FARP, over (y) amount of time, or CSH if type unit is designated as such.
-
Thank you for the hard work, and I look forward to these additions when they are available--surely they will be put through their paces. During the future is there any plans on including additional logistical elements, e.g. arpa2000 field kitchen, connex boxed Mobile Hospital & Mobile Clinic, etc? Currently using the Kp125, and standard storage container as an all-encompassing for all sides.
-
Me Culpa, I should have elaborated. The CPX is PBEM (play by email - turn based), not RT MP. In this environment it has performed admirably, especially the S-213 and M-1. A question: Were there any plans on developing the M77 DPICM for the M-1 or D-20?
-
All I can say is keep up the excellent work. The RACS, though outnumbered, have performed magnificently in the CPX, which has been running for 11 months and counting, across three separate maps. Resshman Province, PMC 51km Desert, and Takistan.

Frequently Asked Questions/Requests
mannequin replied to Rommel's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Is there a simple way to script, so that each vehicle on your side shows you their fuel and ammo, individually. example: I approach a vehicle, an option appears in the action menu or other that allows me to look at its' consumables. thanks. -
I think it has been a great job to date, and that outside of a few minor items---that are easily compensated for, it is a good workable structure.
-
It roughly outlines the sizes and minor possibilities.
-
The TK extension adds a lot, but the size they give for the Special Brigade shouldn't be taken as an absolute due to the actual size of Takistan. Adjusting for it's size, you could have 5 Corps, or 20-25 Divisions easily, or easily three-four times that number in Brigades. Supporting elements would be a four to one per, to keep the math simple, so overall you end up with a massive amount of equipment and troops. This is more than enough to at-least maintain parity with the majority of the neighboring countries. The town of Nur, in Takistan, is already on the border with Ardistan, (an Iran simile,) with a large gap between there and the Qom map. To fill the blank I simple placed the PMC 51km map with towns in the middle; they are numbered with no names, making it an easy large choice as a filler, and it the terrain is basically similar. This allows for Divisional sized movement, making it easy for your own protracted SP or MP wargames. It also provides a large map for correct logistical maneuvers and times of passage from point to point.
-
The TA faction is already decent. With the PRAC TK extension, and the proper ORBAT, they pose a formidable force if used correctly. What is honestly needed is more maps. A complete map of Takistan would be in order since it would at-last connect it's borders to that of the neighbors, and open up a large range of possibilities.

Green Sea Expansion Project Releases
mannequin replied to jakerod's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
This is an interesting concept. It will be good to see Takmyr all the way to Chermodorsk, and open many operational possibilities. Unfortunately, most of Takistan is incomplete, according to the maps, with only Zargabad being modeled for the central and nothing northern. Additionally the only roads going to Takmyr are the two Hwy 3's, which run out of both Karachinar and Zargabad, with a distance of 81km between Karachinar to Takmyr. That is a lot of open ground to cover between Takistan and the border. An idea to quickly close the gap might be along the lines of the PMC Desert 51km map? I look forward to seeing the future of this project. -
You are doing awesome... I continually enjoy the depth of this mod, and am always exploring new ways and scenarios to use it in. I understand, as with everything, that it is an unfinished product, and most likely will forever be. Certain items along with engineering are lacking, but that is easily worked around by incorporating other addons into the missions, e.g. D7H bulldozer. The RAC Marines could use an AV8B, as mentioned in the past, but as with other minor items, this is easily worked around. Keep up the excellent work.
-
Thank you for including the AV8B. It will be much appreciated and used upon its' release. ;) As for force-structures. Though it is by individual choice, my personal preference, based upon an eclectic set of data-points is as follows: 1st INF Div 2nd Paratroop Div 3rd Mountain Div MP Bn Army Recon Bn Royal Marines 2x MEB, 4x MEU Royal Commandos BCT Royal Fusiliers BCT Princess Sarah 2x ACR Armored Cavalry Regiment Sahrani NG Cavalry Div Royal Sahrani AF Red Brigade BCT Desert Red Brigade BCT UN Bn The actual internal breakdowns are per their r/w West and Uk/Eu counter-parts, with the exceptions being Red Bde (IMRB) Russian Independent Motor Rifle Brigade based upon the newly authorized structure for Ru based BCT. Likewise, in counter, TA Takistani Army is based off of NK North Korean and late 80s early 90s model Russian force structures, per unit and mission type. TNA Takistan National Army is based off of planned force structures for IA Iraqi Army and ANA Afghan National Army, due to its' respective role. CDF is based upon the Serbian Army; CDF being Slavic in origin. Large scale logistics is not scaled or handled using an ArmA base, since it cannot model the distances and r/w tonnage required. Only regional logistics, (after everything has arrived,) is modeled.

Is there a possible way for you to re-skin the vanilla AV-8B Harrier II for use with the PRACS Marines? The Entendard is a nice choice, but having the STVOL provides an expeditionary unit with more options vs dedicated airfields or LHA. Thanks. w/r.
-
Sorry it has taken this long to get back, real life and all. Yes I am using both ACE2 and Mando-Missiles. I have tried PRACS as a stand-alone and experienced the problem, and have tried it with both of the mods running with the same problem, but only when operating as a part of a larger sea unit. As a single entity no problem was experienced. As time allows I will try to tighten this down and hopefully be able to provide you with more concise information. w/r

I have really enjoyed the PRACS genre, and have worked actively on building a solid MTOE around the various units, with 2x full Corps w/logistical support has been completed as of date, in-which 1 Division has been set against a full MTOE and mobilized Takistani Army (TA), for use in a CPX (command post exercise,) run in a turn based environment through email. With this in mind, and with future works in progress, I would like to point out a few items. The Sea Skua and Barak MkII missiles do not function properly, and I've had to replace them with standard Hellfire and Sidewinder missiles; a dedicated Landing Craft would be a very nice addition, for coastal operations. For large scale naval engagements though, I admit I am using Haproon CE, using a mix of EU vessels for Indian ocean engagements, even though Takistan is land-locked. For ground vehicles, the tow missiles were going erratic immediately after launch and had to be replaced. The aim-points for the sights on many vehicles (tanks, lav, m113) were not bore-sighted, though the AI seems to make due accurately enough. The backpacks for the ground units is not functional, though for the purpose of spectator it really does not matter, simply pointing it out. I do not know immediately if these errors had been reported for Arma2Co or not? If so, please disregard. You are doing very excellent work, keep it up!
