So I installed ARMA today, booted it up before I install OA and my mouse is not in game. Here is what happens, double click icon, game loads up, mouse shows in every splash screen until it changes to in game menu where the mouse pointer disappears and the main screen comes up. The mouse is then disabled, can't move it and can't see it and if it is disappeared on an area where a menu selection is, the selection, say "Exit" will be highlighted as if you were putting your mouse on it and I can click and it will Exit for me but I can't move my mouse or see it from there. I then installed OA and patched all the way to 1.62 and still, mouse is locked in game and invisible. It will only select click if it happened to lock up on a menu option. Tried windowed mode, still nothing. Anyone know what the hell is going on? Google has lead to absolutely no yield, seems this problem is unique. EDIT: Oh yea specs: Windows 7 64 Bit GTX 560 TI (2GB) 4GB RAM AMD Phenom II X965 Black Edition Razer Deathadder 3.5G (Left Hand Edition) [Having problems installing Razer Synapse 2.0 to update drivers, if that could be a problem] Also, mouse works in every other game.

Invisible/Locked Mouse Pointer in ARMA2
Thawk replied to Thawk's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
No body has any ideas? This seems to be a once off thing, can't find anyone else with this error. Worst thing is, it's worked on my PC for two years before the reinstall and upgrade to 64 from 32, as well as a new GTX 560 TI. -

You missed my COD point quite spectacularly there antoineflemming, in fact, you missed most of my points quite spectacularly. My point was that COD takes things that rarely happen, if ever and makes it into this big, full scale thing. Just blows things out of proportion. Take the SPIE rig scene or many of the others. I have literally no problem with it, in fact I very much like the series, but it is very far-fetched sometimes. I was just making a point that this underwater combat thing is, in a way, like that. It rarely happens and now it's a full scale feature of the game. I have no idea where your tangent about M4s and Strykers was going either. My point about communities, was the one I am in and mine alone, have no idea how you extrapolated that to me demanding communities play in a certain way. And finally, my personal favourite, me saying that I would take shooting for vehicles instead of underwater play is me saying that BIS can only do one thing, and not the other. Once again, that was me simply using an example, that I believe shooting from vehicles would be more practical then underwater and that I, personally, would choose the former over the later. You do a lot of assuming and extrapolation. Two very bad forum habits to have.

I would be inclined to agree with the OP, it's a nice feature and yes literally it is realistic, but not that practical and it's more of a COD "this happened/was planned once in real life, so lets make it into a real thing in game" approach. I can definitely see a bunch of special forces missions being made for it because, you know, everyone loves to be SF. But when it comes to actual infantry missions, this is pretty useless. Then again, that is subjective as in our community we focus on infantry and combined OPs, we try and limit the "special" forces stuff as much as possible. Still I could see missions like a platoon of marines are deployed on RHIBS supported by a small team of Navy Seals to strike a dock or something. In the grand scale of things though, I would 100% swap underwater for a more practical feature like shooting from vehicles.

Looking good mate, do you have any intentions on making a working foregrip? Saw a Steyr pack with that, looked pretty cool. I'm actually in the process of putting together an IDF mod, if you would be interested in putting your A1s in the pack with our stuff. All credit due would be given, obviously. ---------- Post added at 13:07 ---------- Previous post was at 13:05 ---------- Here I'll actually PM you, easier to sort it out, but heres some small screens from our modder Contrails.
