    Arma2NET

Just to let you know again Scott I checked my version of Arma2Net and my beta version and still after a fresh install of Arma and the plugins I still have to place the contents of @Arma2Net in my Expansion/Beta folder. Do you think this could have something to do with me using TA2DST launcher instead of a batch file?
  2. Tiger if you want to add me on steam @ iOGC_Ænigma|UK| if you dont manage to get it sorted with Freeborne first give me a shout. I will see if there is anything I can do for you.

    Dedicated server problem

Have you moved the ace config files into the userconfig folder on your server? Im sure if those files are not present then the server crashes.
  4. iOGC_Aenigma

    Deleted Files?

Im not sure that is going to help him. Obviously its a combined operations issue. Legel do you own both OA and A2? If not that is your problem like Droo said. If you do then you are having issues getting combined operations to run. What version of the game do you have retail or steam? Do you use anything other than the standard .exe to launch your game?

Problems with connecting to some servers.

You are trying to join servers that requires the CBA and ACRE mods. Look for servers with no mods running to join. If you have any more questions feel free to add me on steam @ iOGC_Ænigma|UK| I know Arma can be a bit daunting at first.

iOGC will be hosting a Hunt The Admin Team event on Wednesday 24/10/2012 commencing at 20:00 UK time and would like to make a public invite. This event is taking place in Zargabad using DAP's insurgency mission. Blufor will be made up of our own members and public players. Teamspeak details for those that wish to join in will be available once connected into the server.
  7. With TA2DST I have tried launching with no default mission specified and with a mission rotation. I still get the same thing. Its not an issue in any way for me as if I restart the server I will jump on it anyway to sort out the parameters of the mission. I can however understand why someone with no Arma server experience could think that the server is not launching correctly though.
  8. Freeborne, for what ever reason when using TA2DST to launch my servers the first time I connect to them it seems to be stuck on the waiting for host screen. I think its because no mission has been selected to load or it hasn't loaded correctly. If tiger opens the server control screen he should be able to log in and select the mission he wants. At least that is the problem I think he is describing.
  9. Tiger press Shift+P and then log in using the rcon password you set. You will then be able to choose which mission you want to load. Im guessing this is the problem you are having. It stumped me for a little while.
  10. This can happen when TA2DST isnt loading Combined operations correctly. What I did was to copy the contents of the Arma2/AddOns/ folder into Arma2OA/AddOns/ folder and add this line to TA2DST: -mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;EXPANSION;CA; Try this and see if it helps.

    Arma2NET

I am using a version linked to me by Jman, I'm assuming it is the latest version but I shall check for sure once I am home from work. EDIT: I am using version 2.2 of Arma2NET
  12. Thanks for your help guys. I now have the PersistentDB working but I have had to copy the contents of the Arma2NET folder into the Expansions\beta\ folder. I have asked Scott what he thinks about this issue but for me its no big problem now that everything is working. Cheers again guys and keep up the brilliant work. Aenigma.

    Arma2NET

I have been redirected here from the PersistentDB thread by Jman. It seems I am having problems getting Arma2NET to run correctly on my dedicated server. The game is installed through steam and run using TA2DST. The errors I am receiving are shown below: 10/02/2012 20:54:56 Error Caught exception of type System.IO.FileNotFoundException System.IO.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\Arma2Net.Managed.dll at System.Diagnostics.FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(String fileName) at Arma2Net.AddInProxy.Utils.get_FileVersion() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Startup.StartupConnection() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Invoke(String args, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.DomainInvokeAddIn() at System.AppDomain.DoCallBack(CrossAppDomainDelegate callBackDelegate) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.InvokeAddIn(String addInName, String arguments, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeBuiltInOrAddIn(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeFunction(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) 10/02/2012 20:54:56 Error function: Arma2NETMySQL ['arma','UpdatePlayer','tsc=any,tpos=4694.76|2591.53|0.00143909,tdam=0,tdhe=any,tdbo=any,tdha=any,tdle=any,tdir=148.695,tsta=Stand,tsid=any,tveh=any,tsea=,ttyp=BAF_Soldier_TL_MTP,trat=0,tvd=any,ttd=any,tran=any,tfir=any,tek=any,tck=any,tfk=any,tsui=any,tlif=ALIVE,tdea=any,ttp=any,tlc=any,tld="10/2/2012 7:54:56 PM",tpid=2413766,tna=Aenigma,tmid=any'] 10/02/2012 20:54:56 Error maxResultSize: 4095 10/02/2012 20:55:02 Error Caught exception of type System.IO.FileNotFoundException System.IO.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\Arma2Net.Managed.dll at System.Diagnostics.FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(String fileName) at Arma2Net.AddInProxy.Utils.get_FileVersion() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Startup.StartupConnection() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Invoke(String args, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.DomainInvokeAddIn() at System.AppDomain.DoCallBack(CrossAppDomainDelegate callBackDelegate) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.InvokeAddIn(String addInName, String arguments, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeBuiltInOrAddIn(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeFunction(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) 10/02/2012 20:55:02 Error function: Arma2NETMySQL ['arma','RemoveLandVehicles','[tmid=any]'] 10/02/2012 20:55:02 Error maxResultSize: 4095 So from what I can see Arma2NET is calling for the required files in the wrong location. I have circumvented this problem by moving said files into the directory listed and this seemed to fix the errors. I am posting here however to see if anyone has had a similar issue and if there is a fix for it.
  14. What we have done with our server is to make a copy of the steam install folder on another drive. It is better to use another disk if you have the availability but it can be done in say C:\Arma2Server2. I use TA2DST to set up profiles for both servers pointing each profile to 1 of the 2 server.exe locations. As you want to run one server for DayZ you can launch that using just your regular .bat file and just use TA2DST to launch your regular Arma server. When you install a new beta patch to the primary install you can just copy the Expansion\beta folder and overwrite the old one in the second server folder. Im not sure if you can rename the .exe file to solve the issue of your server restarting automatically but it would be worth a try.
  15. Thank you again for your reply. I have installed the version of Arma2Net you have given me the link for. In the Arma2NET log file I now get these errors that I was talking about previously: 10/02/2012 20:54:56 Error Caught exception of type System.IO.FileNotFoundException System.IO.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\Arma2Net.Managed.dll at System.Diagnostics.FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(String fileName) at Arma2Net.AddInProxy.Utils.get_FileVersion() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Startup.StartupConnection() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Invoke(String args, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.DomainInvokeAddIn() at System.AppDomain.DoCallBack(CrossAppDomainDelegate callBackDelegate) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.InvokeAddIn(String addInName, String arguments, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeBuiltInOrAddIn(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeFunction(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) 10/02/2012 20:54:56 Error function: Arma2NETMySQL ['arma','UpdatePlayer','tsc=any,tpos=4694.76|2591.53|0.00143909,tdam=0,tdhe=any,tdbo=any,tdha=any,tdle=any,tdir=148.695,tsta=Stand,tsid=any,tveh=any,tsea=,ttyp=BAF_Soldier_TL_MTP,trat=0,tvd=any,ttd=any,tran=any,tfir=any,tek=any,tck=any,tfk=any,tsui=any,tlif=ALIVE,tdea=any,ttp=any,tlc=any,tld="10/2/2012 7:54:56 PM",tpid=2413766,tna=Aenigma,tmid=any'] 10/02/2012 20:54:56 Error maxResultSize: 4095 10/02/2012 20:55:02 Error Caught exception of type System.IO.FileNotFoundException System.IO.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\Arma2Net.Managed.dll at System.Diagnostics.FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(String fileName) at Arma2Net.AddInProxy.Utils.get_FileVersion() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Startup.StartupConnection() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.Invoke(String args, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.DomainInvokeAddIn() at System.AppDomain.DoCallBack(CrossAppDomainDelegate callBackDelegate) at Arma2Net.Managed.AddInManager.InvokeAddIn(String addInName, String arguments, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeBuiltInOrAddIn(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) at Arma2Net.Managed.Bridge.InvokeFunction(String function, Int32 maxResultSize) 10/02/2012 20:55:02 Error function: Arma2NETMySQL ['arma','RemoveLandVehicles','[tmid=any]'] 10/02/2012 20:55:02 Error maxResultSize: 4095 These errors occurred before until I copied all said files to the beta directory. Is there a reason why my server would be calling for the files there?
  16. I didnt think I would have to copy the files to that folder but my Arma2NET was giving me errors asking for the files to be located there. In duplicating them to that folder it fixed the issue. I'm not sure why that was though. Here is the server rpt file: http://pastebin.com/6xyW0G1T Here is the client rpt file: http://pastebin.com/ZmnNz4ah and here is the Arma2NETMySQL log: http://pastebin.com/iDKcJ2TX I cant post the complete Arma2NETMySQL log as it is too big for Pastebin. As you can see I have been using the latest RC for the MSO mission with the update schema. I have tried the same with the Convoy Hell mission and seem to get the same error. I have noticed one instance of the Chernarus 4.4 MSO logged in the database but nothing else was written. Thank you for your quick reply and as I said in my initial post I would not be surprised if this is caused by user error on my part. Thanks again, Aenigma.
  17. After spending hours getting Arma2 communicating properly with the SQL database I now have an issue where it seems no information is actually being written to the DB. The mission information has been stored correctly but anything such as player and vehicle locations are not. The closest thing I can see to an error in the Arma2NETMySQL log file is the following: Info: 13:16:07 - Received - Database: arma Procedure: UpdateDate Parameters: tda=2011|3|8|1|44,tmid=<null> Info: 13:16:07 - Parsing parameters... Warning: 13:16:07 - MySQL error. MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException (0x80004005): Incorrect integer value: '<null>' for column 'tmid' at row 1 at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlStream.ReadPacket() at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.NativeDriver.GetResult(Int32& affectedRow, Int32& insertedId) at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.Driver.GetResult(Int32 statementId, Int32& affectedRows, Int32& insertedId) at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.Driver.NextResult(Int32 statementId, Boolean force) at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlDataReader.NextResult() at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior) at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlCommand.ExecuteReader() at Arma2NETMySQLPlugin.MySQL.RunOnDatabase(MySqlCommand command, Int32 maxResultSize) Is there something I may well have missed in setting the DB up. This has been my first venture into setting up a SQL database and the first time I have tried to configure Arma2NET so it could well be something simple I have missed. Also is there any reason why I have had to copy files from the @Arma2NET folder and place duplicates of them in \Expansions\beta? Although I would of expected the mod to load from the mod folder it does seem to work correctly with this work around I have had to implement. It is worth noting that our server does run the latest beta patch is this known to cause conflict in anyway with the Persistent DB stuff? Cheers for the hard work anyway guys, Aenigma.

    [TVT/CO-55] Wasteland

I have been looking forward to hosting this mission on our server since I found it. Great work. I do have one slight problem at the minute in that the player menu will not show up for anyone on our server. I have tried server restarts, rejoining etc and was wondering if there is anything I may have missed when launching the server that could cause this?

What is wrong with Arma 2 players?

Eddie does your squad have a website/forums? If not you can add me on steam @ iOGC_Ænigma|UK| we can discuss a joint squad night on there or at least get a game going some time.

    ACR for dedicated servers

I suggest removing BAF and PMC. When I installed the DLC to my server it started creating some issues on launch after a little while.

    Run servers as Combined Ops

How are you trying to launch the server? Are you using a batch file or TA2DST? Which version of the game do you have installed on your server (Retail files/Steam)?

What is wrong with Arma 2 players?

Not to just jump in here to flame you Eddie but you say to open with a friendly greeting yet your topic for this outburst wouldn't leave me thinking you were friendly. Neither would the last few words you post with. I do however share an interest in creating full servers for COOP game modes and like you have tried running events within my own community and some times fail to gain interest. Now I am happy to spend all day long on these forums helping new players get to grips with the game and set them up with beta patches and mods and the such. In doing so I have made contact with decent guys. I have found that the best way for me to get a good game going has been to approach other communities for joint squad nights / operations. Is this something you have tried? What time zone are you in? Do you run any server side AI mods such as ASR_AI?

    Server not working

Aye I thought it would. Glad it worked for you.
  24. iOGC_Aenigma

    Server not working

Have you tried launching the standard game client? If so does that start to load up ok?
  25. iOGC_Aenigma

    Server not working

We have a dedicated server, not a VPS but have you tried running the game its self so that Steam completes the install? On our box we get a graphical error once the game tries to launch up but Steam has finished its installs correctly. Make sure you run Arma2 and Arma 2 OA on their own then run the Arma2OA as combined ops through Steam. Do not install BAF or PMC on the server as it is included in Arma2 OA. If you then have problems getting the server to run combined ops using TADST copy the contents of the Arma2 folder into Arma2 OA. Hope this helps.
