Amra 2 is working fine on one monitor, but everytime I try to boot up with triples it crashes. I'm using Nvidia surround. It acts like it is going to load and then just goes black for about 10 seconds. After that the arma cursor appears but nothing else ever happens and then it crashes after ahwile to my desktop. Any ideas?

I use to play a fair amount of arms 2 but stopped 4 or 5 months ago. I finally got a friend to buy it and I'm wanting to play some coop with him. Are there any good missions for just 2 people to play?

I might take you up on that. I'll give the other things a try first, but my heart has got a workout trying to get this game going. It's had my blood boiling more then once.

I did finally get 6 updater and it works great. It's a great piece of software for us who have no idea how to do edit anything. I'm still working on getting ACRE to work with teamspeak, but I've got some people in that thread helping me out. Now once I get everything working I'll just have to figure out all the shortcuts and what's going on in the game. Once I get everything running well I'm going to start looking for a group to play with. I'm really not all that interested in coop, but it looks like that's about all anyone plays now.

Thanks for the help guys. Here's how I've been running my mods. Tell me if I'm crazy or not. I go to 6 updater, and click on server browser. Then I find the server I want and right click it, do down to actions, and then hit add or install mods and join server. I just let 6 updater create the dynamic one for me. This though is not letting ACRE work with teamspeak. When I get some time later Ill give some of your advice a try. I even go to 6 updater to start the game in single player. I have one preset made for it with all of the ACE mods. Doing it like this is the only way I have been able to get them to work so far. ---------- Post added at 11:11 ---------- Previous post was at 11:07 ---------- I've watched that video probably 20 times, and got an error message everytime I tried it. I don't know what the deal is, but I just couldn't get that to work for me.

It would be really nice if there was a video tutorial on how to do everything associated with Arma that wasn't just push a button and your done. This has got to be one of the most complicated games I have ever played. I installed the beta patch just using the install method that comes with the download, and it says beta at the side when I launch the game through either the beta shortcut or by joing a server from 6 updater. I didn't change a startup line or anthing, but it seems to work. Still haven't gotten ACRE to work though. I don't even know where I would find the startup line?

Thanks, I'm just using whatever the latest steam version is. Will the new patch make it so that it automatically connects to my teamspeak?

Forgive me for my stupid question, but I'm completely new to Arma and any kind of mods for PC games. I downloaded ACRE and have teamspeak 3, but I have no idea how to get them to work together. I have the ACRE plugin checked in teamspeak, but when I go into a game it says ACRE not connected to teamspeak. I could use some super simple instructions on how to get them to work together. It took me a week to even get any mods to work, and finally downloaded 6 updater and just join the games from there. That's the only way I could get any mods to work. Any help though with how to get ACRE and teamspeak to work together would be great. Remember though I need really simple instructions. Pretend like your telling a 80 year old lady how to do it, who has only used a computer to order her Depends, and get her efferdent. I should also add that I'm using the steam version of Arma 2. I bought the Arma X edition with all of them on it.

I do have problems with it. I can't get it to work, and have never used mods for any game before except Skyrim. I've got them to show up in my expansions for OA, but in combined ops their not there, and I really don't even know if they are suppose to show up there. There are no decent tutorials out there at all to explain how to do it, and if they do they don't actually show you how, because they have already added them, and they just jump around trying to explain something instead of actually showing you how to do it. When you do ask someone they give you an answer that I have no idea what they are talking about. Just take thos file here and copy this and change this script. That means absolutely nothing to me. I ahve no idea what they are talking about and need to be told like I'm a 90 year old man who has never seen a computer before. For people who have never done any kinds of modding or not worked on software at all, the current method is awful and very frustrating. I have though downloaded all kinds of mods for Skyrim and it's great. All games should follow that example and make it so you don't have to search to the end of the internet, to figure out how to install a mod so you can play online with people.

I'm brand new to Arma, and wanting some people to play with too. I've been playing SP and tried to get into a few MP games but had no idea whatsoever what was going on. I might add a few of you guys on steam, one of you might even be able to let me know how to get mods to work with the steam version. I've watched multiple videos, and think I'm really close to getting them to work, but something I'm doing just isn't right.

I'm having a really crazy sound issue. I'm using onboard 7.1, and it is making horrible super loud crackling sound in my rear speakers. It makes the game unplayable in surround sound. If I go stereo it's fine, but I can't stand to play games without surround sound. I should have added that this is on Arma 2. On OA I only get stereo. It says that my receiver is getting 5.1 channels in and outputting 5.1 channels but sound only comes out of my 2 fronts and my sub. My center channel and rears play nothing. Every other game I have works fine. It was all of my games on steam only playing in stereo, but I think I fixed most of them, now it's just Arma 2 and OA giving me problems. I should add I am running onboard sound through HDMI over my gtx 570 into a denon receiver. And for the guy above me saying onboard crappy HD audio. In all honesty that is the best you can run, if you have a decent system to run it through. A decent dedicated surround sound receiver is going to do alot better job then a couple hundred dollar soundcard. The onboard sound just passes it through without any types of weird effects or anything and lets the receiver do the work. The only problem I have is that Nvidia doesn't bitstream the audio, so my receiver doesn't tell me if it's DTS, dolby, or Linear PCM.
