Why is adding to the addon folder a problem? I know thats the gospel but whats wrong with it? Just curious. if it's essentially a mod now it would be awsome to get this on sixupdater. Is there any way to make at least some of the patrols cover a little more area? They become a little predictable. If its crazy hard to do i understand, and its a pretty damn hard mission as is. I dont know how to do the spoiler thing, but i've found the patrols to be semi exploitable when its a single group. -

Didn't even occur to me to find an engineer lol. I saw you mentioned trying panthera. It's a cool map but I don't think it will work. I tried it with mcc and spawned 50 or so patrols, but they couldn't cross the bridges. They would bunch up near the river and a shot in their direction would make them all crawl into the river and drown. Some would get stuck waist deep in the bridge, and a few lone wolves would get through and run in circles. Amusing but kinda a deal breaker. That was a month or two ago so it may have been fixed. -

I find rangefinder batteries on friendlies running ace. I didnt playing vanilla. Are there medpacks? I havent found any. Also it may be what you intended but i can never find vehicles without a flat tire except at bases. -

Question for anyone running ace. After i loaded a save i got a error that ran in a loop something about blackout. Has anyone else got this? I assume i saved when somone was knocked out. Maybe not.. ive played vanilla since but if nobody else is getting it ill chalk it up as a fluke and give it another go with ace. -

For me i personally like the non story aspect of it. As i mentioned before i use mcc to further customize the game to my liking. Sometimes i play it as intended sometimes i load up a team of sf units and start assaulting. It plays good either way. For ppl that want bases thats doable with mcc. I played the other day where i halo jumped into the middle of the map, airdropped supplies, and set up a base then played normally. Frankly i like that i can play it different ways. Maybe branching off and doing a more traditional mission with the same mechanics and a story/survival for ppl that want to go that route. It wouldnt take much to turn this mission into a sf team joining an insurgency which might attract a different audience. Although airdropped supplies would be necessary. But i would keep the support very limited. Ie no vehicles or artillery etc. anyway if its its not too hard you should consider making different flavors because little tweaks give it a whole new feel and you have a solid foundation for many scenarios. Ace compatibility would be awsome as well. For ppl who want to add this or that weapon, unit, or want to go crazy and have air support insertions etc pick up mcc its a lot easier than tweaking the mission itself, and i havent run into compatibility issues. Anyways im loving the new maps, awsome job so far, if you decide to go a diff route just keep this version available and im content. -

Very good news! check out mcc it alows you to edit a mission on the fly. It can be a cheat or whatever but its easier than editing missions. Uses 3d editor too. The threads about it explain it all, but its an overlooked tool. Half of the requests ppl have can be handled if they use mcc. Its also very good for testing balance, and whatnot. aside from the ruck error (i think it is ace related) it works really well with your mission. I started a new one but didnt feel like hoofing it so i spawned a heli and flew to the friendlies. As soon as i landed i had to deal with 3 hinds because of my not so subtle entrance. Good times! Exactly what i look for in a mission, a very logical response from the ai. -

Awsome missions. If its not too hard to do it would be cool if you could set the objective with a map click. Nothing complicated, just an alternative to the objectives randomly hopping around since you cant hc. It sucks when you set up a good ambush or position and then your flanks get up and run to another objective. -

Excellent mission. Best sp mission ive played! I have two issues though. No matter how many forces i add at the begining i get good fps but a stutter every 30sec to a min. Sometimes it freezes and i have to reboot. Seems to coincide with the victory progress indicator, but not always. Its a minor issue though its still very playable. I run it with ace&mcc which could be the problem. After i load a save, but not on a new game i get an ace ruck error. Im not using rucks but i would like to. I also cant find the ruckSack ammo crate in mcc. Maybe i just cant find it, but did you by any chance disable rucks? I dunno if thats even possible maybe they are conflicting with something and dont show up? This would be an awsome mission in takistan as well, i've always wanted a cia embed helping locals overthrow the gov. or expelling russia type mission. This would give a similar feel on the tak map. Just a thought, great mission. -

I played a little of the first one and it was fine. The new one is completely unplayable at the lowest settings. 3.8cpu, nvidia 560, 16g ram, ssd. I let it sit for 30 mins and i get 30fps unless i look around... Anyway you could give options for less enemy? How many ai spawn at lowest settings?

Im on my phone so its a pain to link but look at some of the nvidia graphics settings threads. Alot of the settings are probably the same. Also defrag your hard drive. If textures are loading slow this is probably part of the problem. Arma is one of the few games ssd drives make a real difference. I switched it to a ssd (i only use it for games not my os) the improvement was impressive. I use it for toh too which was an even bigger improvement since you are zooming around at high speed. But try a lot of diff settings, it takes a while to fine tune but its worth it.

Regarding the bug earlier about the camera showing up in the suv. That actually sounds like it could make for awsome assault missions. Ie overhead surveillance. I would consider it a feature if you could turn it off/on. Though if it doesnt work in mp, it wouldnt really help. Something to think about for future missions. -

Im thoroughly addicted, but now im bummed to learn these missions cant be saved. Would mcc be able to "safe" this mission? Or does that only work on mcc generated scripts? Id edit my own but are all the modules tied to mso? Meaning is there anyway to build a save enabled version or am i barking up the wrong tree with mso modules? Im definitely gonna have to buy a mic and start playing multiplayer. I havent seen anyone here using it, but roll them into a torrent and pop on pirate bay. If your not familiar with it i can do it. But every new version will need a torrent so you should probably wait till they are all done. You can dl individual download parts of a torrent too. Just a thought. -

Only got to mess around with it for about an hour but i love it so far. Turning off the ambient air drastically improved performance for me, i was getting stuttering at first. (Ssd arives tomorrow hopefully i can turn it back on!) One issue cropped up though, when i tell my team to hold fire, i keep automatically giving them engage at will clearance when they spot an enemy. (not just defensive fire, the actual command is issued) Never happened to me before, and im not sure its mission related, but wondering if anyone else is having this happen. Im not even touching the keyboard or mouse. Only seems to happen when they spot an enemy, but thats sorta a bad time lol. Happened in a heli evac too. Got shot down they hopped out and greenlighted themselves. Anyway great job, and thanks for the awsome mission! -
OA - Mission 03:Pathfinder - How do I call the UAV?

I don't know if this is a bug or not but after getting to the C-130, I couldn't figure out what to do so I saved and came here. On reload I get no option for UAV for any of the vehicles. There are 4 total. Whatever used end mission cheat the experience was thoroughly ruined anyhow. :mad:
