I will say some if not most of us like the small things just as well as the big things in Arma..I have been working on updated ammo crates"well" a different style of ammo crates.. it has just been me messing around and one other person helping me with config s.. i plan on having 4 main ones that will be same size they are in real life..I plan on making them empty so you can use a script to fill with whatever you want .i would love input on that ..Also plan on making stacked ones for vehicle ammo ..Empty of course..the pics I'm going to show are just with a co texture and no really any detail.just a low Polly model and little color..I'm trying to get the models ruffed in then go back in put in detail :) Concept pic model shots http://i1191.photobucket.com/albums/z463/doofygopoopoo2/3dsmax2012-05-0622-29-28-67.jpg?t=1336435776

  3. i would love to see all you guys that are scfi buffs or even not scfi buffs and make a Avatar addon..everythings plants and all..could even be like Marines agents Avatars,,,Marines would have there troops,Vehicals,Those robots the get into, Avatars would have there bigg dogs and side kick eagle buddy's lol .. But just to see how you guys would do it..the detail would be crazy i can just see it now
  4. wasnt really requesting it.just was something that popped in my head when i saw all the cool stuff being maid on the thread..Sounded like the guys on the thread like the scfi stuff so was throwing a conversation starter out there..instead of saying wow man good job like everyone else says..But if it offended anyone ill make sure i wont do it again

I would love to see all you Scfi buffs get to gether and go all out on a avatar mod.The hole shabang..Im talking plants and all..just to see what you guys came up with..Plus not to mention you could almost make it like avatars agenst Marines even with there machines and robots they get into"Marines robots".. i think you guys would be outstanding at it..
  6. yeah ill haft to mess around with it ..Got to be like a attach to thing i can do so it will make the trigger appear once you set the box then with in range activate the animation..got to be like those NZX Humvee s something like that..Were it will just activate the animation though..Im not that good at scripting so it might take a bit but ill try like crazy.

  8. I Love you guys../I have been waiting for this :)..I was wondering if you maid the Ammo Hauler yet? cuz a couple people and i are working updated ammo boxes. Pm me and let me know..We don't know whether to come out with a trailer or a truck in it as well..Havnt really started it just because i heard threw the grape fine you guys were doing this..
  9. lol its not realistic running and gunning with it open..But when your unit is set up somewere with a perimeter up and you are one of those guys on the perimeter..going to the map in game to get grids or anything else inst really the best thing to do at the junction.. because as soon as you hit the map button it blocks your screen.. I didnt mean run around with it open ..I meant it wont cover your screen when you want to look at a map.

Love the idea..there has been so many times during a op that i needed to check the map but could not because well you go blind when you check the map ..Cant see targets..This will add a touch of realism just because you can actually look at your map in real life while scanning for targets.. love the idea

  12. Ok i have been messing around also with vister 3 and have got all the way up to importing the mask and sat texture and every time it freezes..I have fallowed this to the T and dont get it.. Now it could be that i re-sized the map to 40km by 40km but haven't a clue. My project parameters Are as fallows Terrain grid size 2048 by 2048 Terrain Cell Size 20.0 I have only one texture and that is sand...So mask and sat was simple both 2048 by 2048 pixels as well But every time i go to load them it freezes..I have went over the config and everything 1000 times..Confused any help would be greatly appreciated..
  13. Ok the map im making is for nothing.Testing my brain persay..it is so i can figure out the correct steps then make my own.. Just to see if i can even do it.. Its just a random texture file i found to see if the steps even worked.Dont plan on using it ..i plan on making my own texture..almost done with my own texture anyhow and planed on adding my own tag..i just wanted to see how easy it was to do the steps.. All im trying to do is learn the steps..Then when im comfortable i will start to make a map map for the community. witch will be hopefully after i can see if i did the steps right ..

  16. How would i go about doing that ? and would it really be annoying if you got like 10 people at the same box? maybe there is a way to have a trigger right next to it so when you get close it will open then go to gear menu .. Defiantly something im going to look into :)

Update Ok just got done talking to one of my buddy's and he has come aboard to help ..i didnt plan on for this to go were its going but i like :) I have updated whats going to be in the Addon below..Very excited..So now besides me i have two people now helping on this..My first plan was to have just a few new ammo crates but now heck if were going to make the addon for everyone then we should go all out..Now the numbers below could change ,so we could always add more..this might not come out quick just because real life stuff but i sit down and mess with er a lot so good good news :) Any other suggestions would be nice 1.AR/MG 2.Rifles 3.AT 4.Pistols 5.Gear 6. Explosives Vehicle ammo crates 7. above staked crates..all in one 8.Custom maid Air ammo crates"missiles shown" in some 9.Ammo Racks to hold Ammo crates and or missiles 10.Maybe a trailer to hall Ammo crates"idk"yet ALSO glad to say that there will be Desert Textures in there so all you will haft to do is put the code in the init of the box to change the color. will also say non of the detail will be done intell all the boxes are maid and semi close..then we can tweak them to make them look real good..

  21. yeah i was thinking on like making one for Rifles,Heavy Weapons,Lunchers,pistols each containing diffrent size crate. Launchers would be long like this ..either way you will be able to put whatever you want in it but non the less allot of us like details :) not to mention i think all of us hate looking in ammo boxes that have all sorts of different things but look the same lol also updated pic of model

  23. yeah buddy thats what i mean .the hole spawning on the island your going to attack just doesn't make seance..Some clans out there have 400 plus guys so adding the ability to acually take over a airfield then bring everything you need in from a c-17 with all the logistical trucks, Humvee and Tanks everything, then proceed with mission.. the clan i roll with has 24 hour opes. Like your being deployed so adding "glorified" logistics would add sooooo much to it. imagine your Humvee takes a IED..Doesnt blow it up but makes so it so you need a engineer..Whammy call it in set up perimeter and wait for convoy . if your tanks track is down whammy call it in have the convoy bring the lowboy and bring it back to base for repair..just a thought

  25. i would love to see a glorified Logistics mod.im talking Lowboy trailers everything the hole nine yards,even to a C-17.it would be awesome to actually have that realism to picking up wrecked vehicals on the back of a truck and trailer ..Arma 2 needs updated fuel trucks and what not so could even bring that into it ..i thought about just making couple models but i know its nothing i could do by myself in a timely fashion lol.alot would be going on in it wouldn't let me post the link so . hope these are small enough
