    Same way it's used in the real world, kill or suppress the enemy without exposing oneself to direct fire. Care to elaborate.

    Thanks. Hope you don't mind me posting footage of your animations in action for those who haven't seen them yet, I hope some of these animations find their way to Arma3. eFe5RIlIrO8 RMlOO9v6IiE&context=C4c8be12ADvjVQa1PpcFODIfYh5xtQeChBytleqmj_C9jCWDJI9lg= wUy41gkbG4U&context=C4eb4adeADvjVQa1PpcFODIfYh5xtQeNWMxX7Jna6wRmFovYP-R3g=

    Is Arma 3 authentic?

    I don't care if Congolese pigmy paratroops are fighting Nepalese buddhist monk special forces on Lemnos, the mission editor is my ultimate abode. But it would be nice if some Leopard 2 MBT's somehow appear on the Island. :)

    PuFu you have eagle eyes. Good find.

    Is Arma 3 authentic?

    Thank's for confirming, indirectly, that the Merkava won't be the primary MBT for OPFOR, and thank's to SpectreTim for raising the question.

    Ragdolls = In .... Realistic wounds ???

    You must have missed posts #442 ,#444 and #448. It often pays to actually read the discussion before commenting.

    Ragdolls = In .... Realistic wounds ???

    Point taken, I was just really surprised at the widespread lack of knowledge of ballistics trauma around here. Back on topic BIS won't incude gore in vanilla Arma3, that is beyond doubt, gore would need to be modded in. I think it would be an extremely popular mod, and the beauty of mods is that people aren't compelled to run them , it's about freedom of choice. Gore mod FTW.

    mods have no effect on game ratings. The poll proves that the overwhelming majority want it, installing mods is optional, take it or leave it.

    Ragdolls = In .... Realistic wounds ???

    Fact is even a 5.56mm round can literally blow apart a head like a peice of fruit. Type "LiveLeak-dot-com red shirt shot dead in Bangkok Thailand - YouTube" into google.

    I'm no ballistics expert, but I did see some 'chunks' fly off that ballistics gel.

    Visual comparing the difference between full metal jacket and hollow point rounds when fired into ballistics gel using .50 rounds. Ballistic gel density is similar to human flesh. 7tArEtZLw4o

    Ragdolling players without killing them?

    They showed several 'hit' animations at E3 2011 where the AI survived the first bullet impact. 9ia-AMS3yDw&context=C45394ccADvjVQa1PpcFODIfYh5xtQeNWMxX7Jna6wRmFovYP-R3g=

    I know Arma3 uses a different engine than Carrier Command but I would expect that the teams work in close association with each other and that the aquired experience of working with physics on Carrier Command will be passed on to the Arma3 team. If parts of Arma3 vehicles are blown off the main chassis similar to the physics in Carrier Command (for example if a humvee it hit by a powerful I.E.D) I will be fapping...real hard. 2LcBWh-3-38&list=UU-XIaIPDFfrNRBfKqzKtaFg&index=1&feature=plcp v8xonQd47Zc&feature=autoplay&list=UU-XIaIPDFfrNRBfKqzKtaFg&lf=plcp&playnext=1

    Plenty of dirty windows in OA so I assume we will see more in Arma3. 19. Quality software, I'm suddenly inclined to be a lot nicer to you lol. I hope some of your future home projects involve Arma 3, and good luck with your proffessional work.
  20. Really cool. I recollect teacup creating a animation kit for Maya years ago, there's been some considerable progress since those days lol. Do you plan on using Maya?

    Ragdolls = In .... Realistic wounds ???

    I remember watching this mod years ago, obviously the animation is far in excess of what is appropriate to simulate a .50 cal round, but I think something similar would be suitable for simulating a direct hit by a jdam or artillery shell. cmMZMWqw2IA

    Is it still ArmA?

    Iv'e got absolute confidence that Arma 3 is by far going to be the best game ever developed by BIS. The developers have all the credentials one could ever hope for, I fail to see how anyone couldn't have faith in them.

    Ragdolling players without killing them?

    wipman optional weapons slings might create a problem when trying to take possession of a dead soldier's weapon. It would be kind of impossible to confiscate weapons from dead enemies if they are anchored by a sling.

    E3 footage shows at least 2 of the soldiers dropping their rifles. You may need to change the video quality to 1080p. nZSk1UXjWQQ&context=C422ddc7ADvjVQa1PpcFODIfYh5xtQeNWMxX7Jna6wRmFovYP-R3g=

    Ragdolls = In .... Realistic wounds ???

    I need to exercise care on what I post here, so to abide by the forum rules my suggestion to you is to type '50 cal exit wound' into Google image search. I'm sure you will get the basic idea of the horrific damage .50 cal does to human targets. I agree it's not a needed feature, but for the majority of us here it's a desired feature.
