Just out of interest - as far as i can see the GAL has been BLUFOR so far and the RACS has been RESISTANCE (green) now the ARL are OPFOR and the drug dealers are RESISTANCE as well so how is it possible to carry out joint ops with the government troops and RCAS against the rebels and drug lords ?? so therefore it would be useful to have the drug lords included in the opfor as well and the RCAS in the blufor as well so for example UN operations that are neutral or black ops operations where both sides hunt you whilst hunting each other?? possibly even having the ARL and GAL selectable in all 3 factions so that the us army can com in and support the rebels to get rid of the dictatore el presidente. This will help to give the mission designer a free hand in what he creates and therefore the game wont limit his imagination and creativity :bb: i hope i explained this properly please share your thoughts i hope im not the only one this crazy :391: -

New bug at 067061 the road leading out of the bank is partially on top of the main road leading threw maruko however this appears to be occurring on many roads leading onto the main road with yellow lines also sorry i forgot to mention when i posted about the plants at this grid - the begining dirtroad at 059040 needs to be smoothed a bit where it leads out of the barack area by the checkpoint as it looks a bit like this ^ :cool: -
Looks amazing but is there any prediction for a release yet ??

thx a lot fore your consideration ice i appreciate it and i have alredy played on tigueria it is a great map but i personally prefer lingor and you are right i havent been around long at all i only recently decided to report for duty with bi forums because i wanted to get more involved as my interest in the games multiplayer side increased ether way im begining to like it more as i explore. if you want any reserch don fore your future projects ill be happy to help in any way i can. p.s. we wouldnt want it to lag like hell and take 30 minuts to load like the unsung mod maps :) which are great jungle environments but not playable with my pc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s. ICE the dirt road at grid 059040 (by checkpoint sur leading up tho the hill) has plants on it and fence post in guard house at maruku int airport civilian terminal also ambient civilians dont seem to be spawning anywhere as the youst to on the old version. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more bug reports to follow (if i find any more) and if you have time how many reserch labs are there ?? i found 2 so far and will the acm module complye with lingor units because i want to create a living ao with functioning acm module where enemys and frendlys will sawn in different areas so you can operate behind enemy lines in an MSO type operation where there are frontlines ect my idea is complex and i have no idea how to do it so i dont want to bore anybody if anyone is however interested tell me and we can go from there. -

maybe it is but im thinking about trying to get a balance of urban and jungle areas with more remote arias and villages with no road connection in the south to keep the feeling of an LEDC but one that is changing and is improving maybe with an evolving democracy. ether way i dont think that its bad that the country is evolving but its in my opinion not the greatest thing to have the jungle disappear the only properly remote region that still exists is in the north between the prison and the capital in my opinion some areas like this in the se would be great for guerillas to hide and fore jungle raids. -

hey ice at the civilian terminal at maruko airport the guard house where you turn into the car-park in front of terminal thers a fence post in the guard house. also just a suggestion but i think if some places were only accessible via dirt tracks and if bits of impenetrable thick jungle would separate the populated areas out a bit more and remove one or two river crossings to create more strategic bottlenecks. p.s. ice if you need me to test anything on the island specifically pm me the grid and ill search it house by house -

im liking the new island however :o: its just a little overcrowded and the atmosphere has changed completely from the grotty banana republic with a rebel problem to the happyer tropical island with rebels and drug lords i like some of it however it is a little to crowded and i miss the vast areas of unexplored jungle :( however its not all doom and gloom the big airport in the NE is very nice with the new terminal which however dos not show on the map as a building. Some other parts are absolutely beautiful but there are still many bugs such as plants on roads and fence posts in buildings :( in my opinion the island could use a bit of spacing out adding vast amounts of jungle and removing a few roads to make the remote areas remote again. also fore some reason either due to my lack of skills or something else ambient civilians or civilian vehicles do not seem to be functioning i havent tryed to use the acm module yet. all in all i think its a masterpiece and aldough all parts of it may not be according to everyone's taste i think its a pice of art that could use some more jungle terain spacing out north and south maybe in the form of mangrove swamps small islands and hills with coke labs around the SE end with maybe some streams to patrol in on foot (vietnam feel) and paralel thre the island to seperate gal controled area from the arl and drug lord controled area. finally nobody get this wrong please i really like the island !!!! (just my personal opinion and things i found so far) please tell me what you guys think... :bounce3: p.s. hase anybody found that the docks in main city in NE are messed up with the center pice up to high by a few meters and the rails n Crain hanging in mid air ?? -

great i already have a few air control missions in mind for that shame however that we wont have a lingor airline with ancient planes like in brazil but we cant have everything can we :) besides i recon nobody on lingor except for a selected few can afford to fly anyway :) it is an LEDC maybe even a HIDP if el presidente runs the economy like the south of the country. great work ice i cant wait my team is ready to HALO -

het ice looks great i cant wait it looks amazing !! i was wondering if the suggestion i made ages ago for the c47 skytrane for a lingor airline troop transport or drug smuggler aircraft was considered or if it will be included or not p.s. cant wait to go on a first patrol across the island. -

This looks amazing and im realy looking forward to it especially as i am a diver myself and have always been disappointed that there are no possibilities to dive in arma2 and that you loose your kit when swimming which makes a navy seal approach infiltrating teritory by water i.e. walking out the river in a swamp in south america impossible but pleas tell me that it wont require ace because my computer jst wont runn ace at all 4 some reason i tried reinstalling ect :(

this sounds amazing !!!! i have used lingor a lot with friends and for making my own little missions and im really looking forward to this event and the map update i really admire ure work especially as i have tried many times to make islands and just cant get my head around the editing tools im not particularly gifted in that area :( i hope im not somewhere in africa taking photos at the time of the event that would be truly miserable :( -

ok this id my first post with a few crazy ideas. 1. i recon a mission on lingor in which you can roame around stay in the safe north west or go on missions around the rest of the island or symply partol searche civilians and fight enemyes crated by the combat enviroment modul and the civilian interaction module. the plan i have so far is making limited resources avialible such as if you die you only have a few or no respawns at all equipment and vehicles do not respawn either. also the mission i have tryed to make and faild miserably so far features; 4 man RACS squad consisting of An RTO Engineer Officer And LMG support gunner i have considerd to add a 5th person to the 1st team of a different nationalyty as a translator to make better interaction with civilians possible team 2 includes 1 pilot 2 medic 3 engineer they are to fly a helicopter aiding the humans and helping ai in random medevac missions ect to keep them busy in addition the mission should include patrols by the GAL and random events such as calls from governement troups for assistance, hostage resques ,drug raids and random IEDs. . The general idea is to create a sort of tactical sanbox gta aproach to the game that givs you tasks and alows you to decide which mission to take but lets you do the planing and execution of the task given and is not leading you along waypoints. in addition u will have to do your own recon and intel gathering as you will be given only very limited intel (eg 2 hostages in grid 023,045) i beleve that this will help to encurage tactical thinking and will be fun to play for a team working well together with the posibility to add more squads especialy as the mission will not be set to end at a certain point but continue for ever and the goal should be to rack up points not winn after completing a few objectivs! ok so much to my 1st idea blufore/resistanc is represented my RACS ,UN and GAL and possible interwention by tigerian armed forces protecting their economic intrests. opfor will be represented By lingor rebels GAL (lingor army) idea 2 sounds easy is probybly imposible to make it happen. i am aware that my sugestion is mad but i want to put the idea out ther! to make it short take maps such as lingor dula panthera tropica tigeria ect and put them together into one large XXXXXXXXL map if anybody ever played the 1st just cause they will understand my mad idea. the map should come with an open campain where a a team will be a PMC that will go on all sorts of operations in deserts, border areas and behind enemy lines doing all sorts of things as contractors for all sorts of western govenrnemets. now i know this is mad plz dont be mad at me if you think it can be don please try this by all means but since im helpless using the differnt editors my projects usualy have a tendancy to stay in my mind rather than end up in the game. thx for reading plz share ure thoughts with me on this topic
