Black Shadow around models and Windows 8 DLCs?
HawkGB replied to Kolmain's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Morning. To install the DLC packs on Windows 8, run the installer until you receive an error message. Press OK and locate one of the following directories: C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Temp\ACR C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Temp\BAF C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Local\Temp\PMC Once you have located the corresponding directory to the DLC you are trying to install, right click setup.exe > Compatability Tab > Trick the "Run this program as administrator" checkbox. Do the same for ReactorActivate.exe if it is present in the same directory. -

BE is now supported -
Ahoy there, I'm currently writing a set of scripts which requires me to broadcast a variable to a single user when connected to the server. I've tried calling the new "publicVariableClient" function using the "_id" argument that is passed to onPlayerConnected, however it doesn't seem to accept session IDs. My question is: for a server side only script, how would I get the the client ID and send this variable using publicVariableClient when the player connects? Regards, Will

Improved tone mapping for 1.61 proposal

It seems that in the beta patch that changed Reinhard, it also changed filmic? Would it be possible to get the "old" filmic tone mapping parameters? Regards -
EDIT - solved my issue

Ahoy there! Is there any chance of you adding @JSRS_ACE to Six Updater? Would make things easier with @JSRS already being on Six :) http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?104514-J-S-R-S-1-4-3&p=1761762#post1761762 -

Love this tool, really clever and exactly what mission makers need to give their missions some higher detail. However, the in game editor could really use a larger font, it's extremely hard to read at high resolutions.
