  1. thank you for the information guys. I assumed is was all generic missions already made that you simply join and play once the "room" is full. Did not know it was as complex as one person creating every aspect of the mission. Seems very interesting and fun, but how many PvP servers are up at a given time? Also how long does it take to actually start the match?
  2. Hello everyone, I am just learning of the ARMA series and becoming very interested. First started playing multiplayer online games of this sort starting with SOCOM on the Playstation 2 console. As more and more came out and became popular, the "kids" began to over run the community. This seems to hit the spot for me. I dont not mind a learning curve, along with some ingame help and explainations. Seems that this is a strong and mature community. Now for my quesiton.... Can someone please break down the different types of multiplayer modes that are available (in ARMA 2). Also include a description of whats involved in each one. Example, PVP - 30 players, 15 vs 15, objective is to rescue and escort POVs from the opposing team. Other team objective is to stop team 1 from completing the extraction..... Something like that. I remember the SOCOM series had those PVP missions. Very fun/complicated and involved team work with lots of communication with all players using difference gear set ups. Also just had simple Team 1 eliminate Team 2. Team 2 must survive in the time aloted. Well enough with the run ons, if someone has the time to explain, it would be greatly appreciated.
