Would make them SLIGHTLY more ethical, but they're still charging for use of that content, so it's still illegal. Yeah, you can put in an application for the server, but I bet you that application is gonna get accepted A LOT faster if you fork over 30 bucks.

Hey guys, just bought the ACR DLC, to complete my collection...and having some issues with the installation, meaning: it can't be installed. I think it's quite possible that this issue has been addressed somewhere, but with the recent ArmA-Boom on Steam, it's a pain in the ass to actually find anything useful, because you mostly read about issues regarding Steam-Versions. Here's what I have: ArmA 2 and OA Retail (Combined Ops Installation) PMC and BAF installed seperately from the Reinforcements Retail Latest Patches Now I downloaded ACR with the Sprocket Installer, no problem. I started the setup, the activation made no problems, but after that, the installer just states that Version 1.61 is required and stops. Do I seriously need to rollback my entire installation, patch it all up to 1.61, install ACR...and then go up to 1.62? If there's another way, I'd greatly appreciate some help, because I have no intention of spending my sunday afternoon reinstalling ArmA 2.... [Note: These are actually not my words, this is from a 244 day old thread. I would've posted there, but I thought it might be better to just make a new one, as bumping threads that old is often looked down upon.]

No one has ANYTHING to say? About a day has passed and I still haven't found a fix for it, so I really need some assistance.

We have a whole thread about this that is RIGHT below this thread. Ahh...well, we got a thread about exactly this, so I suggest you go and talk about this there.

...Is this a bug report? If so it should go in trouble shooting.

This is an awesome mod. I wish you good luck on it. -
+1 This is as close as we're getting to real 3d scopes, and I love it.

I wish I could help. Hopefully someone here knows something.

Not liking the new Fatigue system - Jogging should not be penalised

The thing here, is Arma has and still is a REALISTIC GAME, not a SIMULATOR. This is one of those cases where realism is just annoying and could be given up for fun. At the least they could make our sights sway WAY more than they do now when you're exhausted. -
Auto issuing move to command every time I bring up the command menu
Dusty926 posted a topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
It's starting to ruin the game for me. I can't issue a command without me automatically ordering a move to command. It's really annoying. I am using the latest development build. [As of 5/29/2013, 3 P.M, Western canada time] I can't give many more details. -

Same exact thing. -

My custom keys certainly aren't the cause, autokey isn't running, and the only mods I have are unit/weapon/vehicle mods. -
...Wut? Ok, lemme see what I can get. "You guys should really up your shit already because this game should run at 60fps on my pc which can run BF3 at 60fps." Is that what you were saying?

Up to my Old Tricks again: God like powers of Vision

I read the post and he's naming it a simulator, which it is not. Game and Simulator are 2 different things albeit they fall under the same category. -

NO! The Arma series are GAMES! The other version of Arma (it's name escapes me) is a SIMULATOR! You know, the version that costs a few hundred bucks. Everyone seems to misunderstand that. Arma is not a simulator, more-so just an extremely realistic game. And being a game, it comes with unrealistic OPTIONS. OPTIONS. OPTIONS. I need to repeat OPTIONS to emphasize that they are OPTIONAL. Knowing BI, no matter what you say, and what you do, 3rd Person is here to stay. Live with it, and learn to respect other people's opinions. -

You are suprisingly smart for someone who joined in March of this year. -
Wasted an Hour of My Life on This Game So Far

Read what you get with purchasing the alpha. You get a big fuckin' discount if you buy the alpha rather than (I am assuming, but not exactly sure) $60 for the full game. -

Oh for the last god damn time, third person does NOT make you IMMORTAL! You are still very vulnerable to gunfire and other shit! Also, aiming with 3rd person without looking down your sights is a huge bitch. That should be enough for you. But no, since you don't like it everyone must not be able to use it because it makes you go wah-wah! -

The fact you joined in March of this year makes your argument invalid. Also, there's this thing called server options. It's where the host can turn off multiple things, such as third person. -

Dusty926 replied to big_t's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
I say that because it would take an act of god to have BI remove third person when it has been in since the OFP age, knowing the kind of guys they are. Besides, alot of people demanded the removal of third person, and guess what? It's back. If they kept it for Arma 3 (Alpha but still, if it's in the alpha it's probably going to be in the full game as well) I don't see them removing third person in their future games. Also, *Possibly* -
Yeah. I miss the big towers of smoke from Arma 2. I loved those. They stayed around for a lot longer too. Not sure how realistic they were but they were definitely pretty...in that chaos sort of way.

You have to realize just because you can see over certain things doesn't mean you're this invincible god with infinite ammo. You are still weak as shit. If I get killed by someone using third person, I'll still feel like that was a fair kill because even with third person it takes skill to actually kill someone. Third person is staying for as long as this series goes on. -
Post your funny moments from online, whether it's a video, picture, or just a little word story. Here is mine: Me and 2 friends we're invading a Russian Base, And a helicopter kept coming around and shooting at us. So the 5th time we respawned, 1 of my friends took a stinger and shot the chopper. The chopper went down (it didn't blow up until it hit the ground) and it crashed right into my friend, my friend was in the ammo selection thingy, and he turned around just in time to see the chopper coming at him. It damaged the Mobile Respawn truck but not by much.

I tried to surrender online today (i know im a wuss for doing that, just wanted to see what the guys did) and i would put my hands behind my head, and immediately put them back down. i tried holding, double tapping, all that but it just dosen't work!
