  1. The logo looks good. I'm eagerly waiting for any more news on this project. Also, when you die, you lose all your gear anyway, so the single player version could be the same way, except, once you(the player) dies, you have to either revert to an earlier save, or if the you have no saves, restart.

Also, it's early for me. I should have been asleep a couple more hours.

  2. Any chance for a singleplayer version once you have the AI in? Or would that be easy to do with setting one of the classes as Player? Also, seeing as I haven't tried the mission yet, is there a hunger/thirst/tired/temperature system? If so, that is awesome. I'm actually waiting for the AI version, but I'll post my first thoughts.

  3. I would love to see this expanded with hunting. It is amazing so far, and with hunting, it would be perfect. It would be my dream mod. Maybe even start us with a pistol in a cabinet with a couple magazines, and we go hunting to get money to get more ammo and possibly an upgrade for our pistol, maybe a bolt action rifle or a shotgun, depending on our choice. And the last thing that I would love to see would be able to have a little garden that we could farm some stuff that we can sell to farmers. Maybe make the stuff take 30 minutes to an hour, maybe configurable, real time to grow.

Edit: Maybe enable us to have an option some time down the line making it where we don't need to smoke, but still can if we want to. And if we do smoke, it warms us up and adds a temporary boost. I know this would be way down the line, but it's some suggestions.

  4. My computer is absolute crap, and I can only get a maximum of 10FPS in ArmA 3, but in ArmA 2, with comparable settings, I get 40 FPS at 4 times the view distance. Here's my stats.

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit

CPU - AMD Athlon II X4 620 Overclocked to 3.2Ghz per core.

    RAM - 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 1066(7-6-6-18)

Mainboard - Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-MA790X-UD4P

GPU - Nvidia Geforce GT240 with 512MB of GDDR5 VRAM.

    Hard Drive - 699GB Seagate ST3750330AS SATA 7200RPM HDD

I have no income that I can spend on upgrading my computer. How can I get better FPS out of A3?

  5. I specifically say to only use one at a time, due to the fact that they overlap. Also, there is only one USMC Pilot Unit in the A2 Base game. If there wasn't, I would have used the Pilot(Light) as the Helicopter Pilot, and the standard Pilot as the Jet one. This is meant to be a replacer only, which means that with only one unit to replace, you have to make a choice. For me, If I am going to be flying fixed wing, I use the Jet style Replacer, and if I am going to be flying a Helicopter, I use the Helicopter Pilot style one.

  6. I have been working on a replacement config file for the default USMC Pilot Units for the 15th MEU(SOC). I am happy to report that it is complete. It uses Meatball0311's Marine Naval Aviator addon, and it is completely clientside.

  7. Hi, I have ArmA 2, OA, and the ACR DLC on Steam. I also have a Retail-DVD Copy of Reinforcements. I recently purchased the ArmA 3 Alpha, and am wondering if there is a way I can port over stuff from my A2 and OA installations for personal use. I remember that there was a way to do this with Take on Helicopters before Take on Helicopters: Reloaded. Would it be as simple as creating a couple mod folders and dragging the files over, or would it be more complicated? I am interested in seeing Chernarus and Takistan in the ArmA 3 Engine, and am interested in seeing if I can get the A2 campaign working.

    Thank you in advance.

I will try the mod folder method and update this post accordingly.

  8. I just want to say, works great in multiplayer. I used the MCC Sandbox Addon's 3D Editor to place multiple Sword UGVs, and 2 empty control stations. booted them up like we are supposed to, took control of a couple, and drove them around, shot the guns, etc. No lag on either end. This was done in a privately hosted Takistan Coop-08 Armory. Figured I'd give you the report.

  9. Hey, I have a problem. I downloaded the ACR Lite Patch installer, and whenever I try to play the mission (Version 2.4) it feeds me an error that says something along the line of "You can not play/edit this mission. It is dependent on content that has been deleted: ca_weapons_acr.pbo or caweapons_acr.pbo. I forgot if the _ is after ca or not. I installed it correctly, and that file doesn't even appear. I have weapons_acr.pbo and ca_acr.pbo, but no file under that name. Can I get any help with this?

EDIT: I managed to fix it by copying and renaming the acr_weapons.pbo to both ca_weapons_acr.pbo and caweapons_acr.pbo. Let's see if it manages to continue to work.
