How do i change the music channel? I saw a tip in one of the loading screens but never did figure out which keys do it. The jazz is the more tolerable of the music selections... there's a few too many tracks that sound like it's time to raid the spaceship (one even starts out with sounds that resemble a ship's alarm system?) for me to just let it play as it goes.

I'm anxiously awaiting the announcement of some awesome community mods... and would like to jump on the sound design team of one/several. Hope it really gets popular, not just with ARMA modders but xplane/fsx/dcs community modders too. -
Question About Resolution and FSAA

To answer your 1st question: I am finding that 'supersampling', or in TOH terms setting the 3D resolution ABOVE (i have mine set at 150% right now) my native resolution of 1920x1200 and having AA off performs better than having AA on and having the 3D resolution at or below my native monitor resolution. Your second question, i'm not sure about... This was one of the first tweaks that got TOH running to my satisfaction. -
Hey bjerauld - I feel you... i think there are a lot of people coming here just after cranking the video settings feeling pretty angry, but i swear that you can get good performance out of this - the one thing you'll have to be cautious about is the overall view distance. Nobody *(that is, to my knowledge) is running it with that slider maxxed at high resolution. Hit this thread and spend some time tweaking before you write it off though. I have it going at 30+ fps now, super high 3D resolution with a 10k view distance, and it looks just as good as any trailer out there.

Really happy with this game too. I'm hoping to see a story expansion soon - as i've gone through the campaign already! Still playing the heck out of the time trials and haven't touched the mp yet... -

Hi LCYcowboy - I'm running the game with on an intel i7-920, win 7 (x64), 8gb ram, AMD 5850 w/ 1gb ram, 1tb hd @7200rpm and the game runs really well for me - 30-50fps. Your current GTX 280 is only a few rungs below mine according to Tom's Hardware... and really i wouldn't recommend upgrading just yet unless you're extremely rich - i'd say your card has at least 6 months left in it personally. If you haven't looked at it yet, one of the devs has posted an entertaining video settings tutorial that got the game going from about 20fps at high settings to where i am now - http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=126178 Cranking the visibility to max at the outset is NOT the way to go, even with a system that meets or exceeds the recommended build. Expect to tweak it for a good hour or so to find your system's sweet spot. Right now my visibility sits around 8000, with every other setting (besides video memory and clouds - which are at normal) at maximum. Even in dense downtown, it's nice and smooth. Hope this helps and be sure to post more about what settings you're using. I don't think you'll find a single person on here that has this game maxxed and running perfectly just yet.
