KLQs7ZuffiA External http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLQs7ZuffiA Using X65F Flight Stick Saitek Rudder Pedals Flying the Little Wasp Trimmed from the launch using Right CTRL-numpad keys It took forever, and stick does not always work, but using the "Little Wasp", you can get some flight stick and pedals working occasionally in expert mode with no auto trim/hover. Here is a video of one time I got my stick to respond someone accurately. While flying a circle over the tree's I had the best time ever because I never had such decent control in expert mode before..... (Still debugging why having such control issues, will of course keep you updated, with my opinions...)

Hrmph, you sure you just didn't start the software without your stick plugged in? That can reset the config... I have the same controls for all choppers.. at least in free flight... ---------- Post added at 07:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:02 PM ---------- Well, my first video of recording didn't get the exact result, so I wont be uploading that, but what I learned in this video is that going to the map, and coming out of it, causes major problems.. even if doing it for a mere second... after trying to figure out where im suppose to be going, i hit the map so the objective highlight comes up.. btw was out in the middle of the sea for some reason?!?!?!? the chopper lose control really bad and then ploop.. so i think its related to this, as i recall using the map in every mission.... Everything is corresponding to the same problems i have had with Arma 2 engine as well.... Down to even the spotting enemy infantry... sometimes the would just report inaccurate red dot positions that made no sense (they were even moving supposedly right in front of me and never there) and my flying there in Arma 2 i was having the same weird results... In Arma 1 i had no issues, so I am guessing its a Arma 2 engine related problem.. and if it continues I will have to abort playing this as thats why i never erally played Arma 2..

Went and played this for feel... The chopper gains speed for no reason though... not only that descends to scary levels where you have to increase collective... so your flying straight with nose up, and losing altitude fast yet on full collective... makes no sense ---------- Post added at 05:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:15 PM ---------- So what i am seeing is you may be forcing conditions during campaign and we are to react instead of just flying and getting the job done via skill?!?!?!?! Hope not as that's poor game design, since we chose expert. Notice the constant confusion of helpers... (Not bashing them) but Basically they always say they have no problems, and are using (AUTO-HOVER) but giving advice... How can we as a community correct this problem? As the thread OP is saying how he don't want to use this feature, then may be interpreting feedback incorrectly from someone who is.. I have seen this miscomprehended in about every thread on expert related flight issues.... Maybe we need several forums for each mode of play. People flying in expert, probably don't want auto trim/hover etc.. so to segregate the community is probably the best way... Make a forum for the following... One for expert flight stick One for other flight stick One for expert mouse/keyboard. One for other mouse/keyboard Seems like it would become a mess, but bad advice and worthless advice is not helping resolve

First try to plug in stick before starting software. Then go to options, controls, helicopter controls, and start binding the axis and stuff... test and repeat....

Mod's this Ziggy is harrassing me and time for a ban.. He knows I want no part of his existance but he continues to troll me, tries to overtake my threads, and now is sending private messages trying to insult me.. I have asked for ignore feature, but yet he just steps it up higher and higher, he is getting a kick out of harrassing me, and its time he gets kicked. This goes back a long way during CP, he was also trolling me and harrassing me, and I wanted him banned then too.. He is simply here to aggravate, thinks he is doing it cleverly

Hrmph, seem to have had more luck flying with a stick in the CP... And had more options of turning things on/off to help it make sense... But In this beta, I am having hard time understanding anything... I move my cyclic 1 micrometer and the game interprets it sometimes as if i thru the throttle to 100% from take off... The bird also always wants to fly backwards... constantly fighting it to keep its nose down almost as if the rotor weighs 3500 lbs.

That might of been me confusing controls with DCS A10C i have also been trying to learn. In ToH, it's shows the following Throttle 1 Increase keybind ? (sorry i changed mine) Throttle 1 Decrease Throttle 2 Increase Throttle 2 Decrease Throttle 3 Increase Throttle 3 Decrease If anyone could explain these? I have yet to try em, and they don't make immediate sense.. 3 throttles? For me random falling out of the sky was due to a poor usb port, after a few hours i noticed windows 7 was telling me this in the bottom right toolbar balloon.... My front panel 2.0 USB port wasn't good enough or defective or something, got buffer overflows or whatever you call it i guess.. so input just ceased over time...

what input method are you using?

SOLUTION FOUND! I DO APOLOGIZE FOR THE NATURE OF MY ATTITUDE, BUT IM NOT A MORON (ALTOGETHER) It was a hardware issue after all.... I have debugged the issue to my front panel case USB ports.... Haf X 942 usb ports (not the 3.0 ones) caused problems with polling and were not running at sufficient speed, thus giving poor feedback to game and explained why sometimes i just fell out of the sky!!!!! Since finding this solution, I can hover pretty much at will in expert mode, no auto trim, no auto hover.. matter of fact.. its insanely easy!!!! Cheers

yup, was too lazy to add... OMG, you are going to drool on my upcoming videos now that my USB problem has been debugged and I can hover at will!!!!

I may have found the troubles of my realistic flight issues.. I have a Rosewill 4 port USB Hub device I connect my flight stick and rudders through. I like to use this, so I can unplug flight stuff while playing FPS games etc. I seen a popup from windows now in my task bar saying my USB port could be performing better. I am not positive but might explain the poor control feedback I have been experiencing... IT might be the polling on the USB hub causing the issue, which makes total sense as 3 days of debugging has led to that assumption anyhow. I guess they are not as good as the motherboard ones. I'm an instant ace in expert mode, only need 1 or 2 trim clicks now and I'm just hovering fine!!! loFl Thank the chopper god's for windows 7 popup alerts. I never would of guessed that USB 2.0 port was a problem on the front of my HAF X 942 case (the usb 3.0) ones did work fine, for those that have this case...

Since you are using mouse/keyboard, i think they have collective control keybinds that may be more beneficial to you.. Ctrl-1 10% Ctrl-2 20% or something, i could be confusing another game.. but i think i say that in the controls... ---------- Post added at 02:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:00 AM ---------- I use to use that to do my trim always, and then release and retry again and again, (it use to be continuos in other builds i swear, you could add more trim) this seems to be removed, HOWEVER, the trim is now done with RIGHT CTRL - NUMPAD 4 (for cyclic left trim) RIGHT CTRL - NUMPAD 4 (for cyclic right trim) RIGHT CTRL - NUMPAD 1 (for rudder left trim) RIGHT CTRL - NUMPAD 3 (for rudder right trim) These have been a godsend, cept for the fact, i cant bind the to my extra hatswitches... the game dont accept shifted states correctly.. afaik as pressing them makes the pov change as well :/

There's just some issues that i cant put my finger on.. at this point its pot luck... Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.... It truly makes no sense! Sometimes I cant fly, then come back from letting it sit for an hour and it automagically is flying okay.

At the end of the video, a new challenge was born, at like 6:35 or so, I called out that little white square (with the dirt road surrounding 3/4 of it) as my target to land spot... Calling it out raises the difficulty in landing by 3000% :D
