I was testing the sniping stuff on the Fallujah map, and the shots were really high, almost outta the scope. But when I played "One Shot, One Kill", the shots were perfect again. Then, I deleted the saves I had from Fallujah, restarted playing there, and the problem vanished. Weird... I swear I'm not crazy, I didn't smoke or drink anything. LOL! :D

Hey guys! Anyone knows how to install the 'old' stable ACE 1.13 version using Six Update? Six Updater is getting the version 1.14 rc1, and in this version the bullet drop for sniper rifles is completely wrong. I've tested the AS .50 and the LRR .338, and both are hitting way off target with perfect adjustments. Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I'll download some sniper missions made especially for ACE to be able to use all the items. It's a great idea to add more variables in ArmA 3, and would be nice to see air humidity and "cold/hot bore shots" too (when firing a few shots in sequence, the barrel heats up, moving up the point of impact of follow-up shots).

Hey guys! I've been playing the game with everything on Very High, Post Processing Low, HDR Medium, 100% 3D Res and 3K VD, with an average of 45 fps. But suddenly it dropped and "locked" in 13 fps when playing in Chernarus, and it's even worse when trying the second benchmark. I haven't installed anything new, or modified any files. Any suggestions to fix it? Thanks! EDIT: Sorry, post in the wrong place. Please mods, move it to the right forum if possible.

Thanks dude! But it doesn't show Kestrel and DAGR too(I'm playing the Red Harvest campaign, but I have everything installed,OA,BAF and PMC). Everytime I try to use the Kestrel, it shows the arrow instead. I thought that equipment like Kestrel and DAGR were included with ACE. Anyway, any ideas in how to fix it? Thanks! :)

Hey guys! About the sniping system in ACE: Which is the wind speed for each "Arrow color" (yellow,orange and red) displayed when checking the wind direction? About the angle of the wind, I know that a "--->" arrow is a 90º full value wind, but what about the other arrow directions? Which other angles and values are possible? (example: 45º arrow = half value wind or 30º arrow = 1/3 value wind). The arrow looks weird when not pointing 90º, making difficult to get the correct angle, and it's hard to hit extreme range shots without a perfect windage adjustment. Any help is really appreciated. :)

Well, I've searched the forum, but I couldn't find a better place to post the question. :D About the laser designator, how much time a battery lasts? (I usually take only 1 battery with me, but I've been using it more than I expected, playing as a Sniper/CAS).

Thanks dude! I've already got my CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus(that thing is huge, lol!), now I'm waiting for the Thermaltake TG1 Thermal Compound. It'll help to low the temp a little further. I'll try to set 4.2GHz, do the tests, and see if it works well. About the GPU, I'll only OC it if it's really necessary, considering they're almost maxed out anyway.

I spent the weekend playing the demo mission, just learning the controls and stuff. :) My PC is running everything on Very High and 3D res @ 100%, Post Processing disabled, VD 3000m and getting around 50fps (25-30 fps with a lot of AI in a city). It's weird because the game was laggy before with the same settings, but after turning it down and turning up again, it's working well. LOL! I can't wait to get a SSD and OC the 2500K(specially now I know I won't need to change the voltage). BTW, which is a "safe" CPU temperature when playing? (I'm getting around 73 C @ 3.7GHz, using the stock cooler). About OCing the GPU, is it safe?(my GTX 570 has an OC feature, but I'm scared of messing with it). :D

Thanks for the infos guys! I was testing only on SP, I haven't tried MP or Coop yet. I know the game lags quite a bit online, but I'll try it anyway. :D I'll try out those settings as soon as I get home. About overclocking the 2500K, I've been thinking about somenthing around 4.2GHz. Is it enough (and safe:D) to get a good performance boost? I don't know much about overclocking, but I don't wanna make huge changes on the voltage(and end up reducing the lifespam of my CPU). That's why I'm wanna try to keep it at a low OC.

Hey guys! I finally tested the Arrowhead demo on my rig. Mobo Asus P8P67 Pro 2500K @ 3.7 EVGA GTX 570 2.5GB 2x4GB Corsair 1600 RAM Corsair CMPSU-850TXV2 850W Old Sata 2 500GB HD with Windows XP. LOL! LG LCD 23" 1080p. Soon I'll get a SSD to install Windows 7 and the full game. I know the demo isn't the best way to test the PC, but I keep getting lag spikes when there's a lot of enemies clustered far away and I use the sniper scope to take a look. I've set the View Distance to 3000(I snipe most of the time :D), disabled the Post Processing, set the 3D effects at 100%(1920x1080), and everything else on Very High. Which other settings I could turn down to get a smoother game without loosing too much quality/details? BTW, I'll get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus next week, and I'll try to OC the 2500K a bit, to see if makes a difference. :D Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

Hey guys! I've been looking at some gaming mouses with adjustable DPI, because I'll be sniping most of the time, and a low DPI when using the scope is supposed to make easier to get an accurate shot. Is 800 DPI enough to make the scope move 'slower'/more precisely? Thanks!

Hey guys! I finally got an EVGA GTX 570 with 2.5GB VRAM, but I'm not sure about which PSU would be enough for a future SLI. My specs: CPU: I5 2500K (@ 3.7 Turbo) Mobo: Asus P8P67-M PRO RAM: 2x 4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600. I used this PSU calculator to have an idea of how much power is required: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine. Minimum PSU Wattage: 720 W Recommended PSU Wattage: 770W Is this PSU calculator any good, or should I use other way to find out how much power is necessary? Thanks!

Hey guys! I've been looking for a GPU, but was searching only for GTX models. What about the Radeons in general? Are they any good? (I've heard they have problems when using Crossfire in Arma, is it true?) Thanks! :)

I assembled all the basic components(2500K(with stock cooler),Asus P8P67,2X4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600, and a weak 350W PSU to test my rig). Now I need to choose a GPU and PSU. The EVGA GTX 570 with 2.5GB of VRAM is the same price as a ECS GTX 580 1.5GB VRAM around here(and over my budget). Anyway, Arma demands a lot of VRAM, but would a MSI GTX 570 1.25GB Twin Frozr II screw up everything because it's lack of VRAM, or it's still possible to play without a lot of problems? (I can get the MSI 570 for a good price here, that's why I want to make sure if it's a good choice or not). About the PSU, I've been thinking about the Corsair GS800, but, which other PSU brands do you guys recomend? Thanks! :)
