    Thank you and sorry for the delay; To downsample basically means to render the picture at a resolution that is higher than the maximum resolution supported by your monitor, so that the resulting picture will generally look sharper because of the higher number of pixels in the same area. There are different procedures to follow depending on your GPU's manufacturer, but informations are easily available for both Nvidia and AMD cards. If you need further info, just ask!
