  1. Hey guys, Im looking for a way to force vehicle lights to always stay on. The vehicle is being controlled by an AI and as soon as an enemy enters the area it automatically switches off the lights. Currently im using waypoints with behaviour set to "safe" a game logic with: this action ["LightOn", Hunter2]; Im not sure if the above does anything at all but well its a try. If anyone knows how to force the lights to stay on, I would really apreciate it! Thanks!
  2. Hey guys, a "mod/mission/what ever" appeared on the Steam workshop the other day, allowing you to save your missions you created with Zeus which is absoloutely amazing. Now the question is, is there any way to export these to the 2D editor? I mean they would have to be saved somewhere? There is just no way I can place objects as accurately in the 2D editor as in Zeus so I would like to place my objects in Zeus, then save the mission and then add trigers etc. Anyone got any idea if this is possible at all or completely ridiculous and impossible? Thanks, I hope this hasn´t been asked before!
  3. Hey guys, I´ve got a bit of a weird problem which I don´t understand why it won´t work even though it should be so so simple. I want to make on of my AI units play the following animation: "acts_PointingLeftUnarmed" I called my unit "OF" I gave it a move waypoint a few meters infront of it and put this in the On Act line: OF playmove "acts_PointingLeftUnarmed"; OF disableAI "ANIM" It does not play the animation. It does make him move forward and raise is weapon but does not play the animation. What am I doing wrong? I really don´t get it?

    Yeah but im not entirely sure im using switchMove right and can´t find much info on it. Could you explain how to use switchMove properly?

  7. Hmm. i looked there but for some reason I have 3 Steam IDs but in every one of them the 10710 folder doesnt exist. I checked every Remote folder anyway but it seems they all only have serverbrowser_hist.vdf files in them or similar files but no .pbo´s. In /Steam/Userdata/79503433/ugc/referenced/ I found the savable pbo for zeus, not sure if its the actual one but if you want you can give it a try?

  9. Hey guys, Ive been playing around with the Arma 3 editor for a bit and I was wondering how exactly do I create "random" explosions like for example mortar fire? It doesnt have to do any damage or such but it should have sound. Everything I found on Google was for Arma 2 and required a script. Is it possible on Arma 3 and if it is, could someone explain it to me in the simplest of ways? Im fairly new to this so it would really be appreciated! Thank you!
  10. Hey guys, I´ve been trying to update Arma 3 since the day when the patch was released but with out any success. Steam downloads the patch and toward the end (at around 90% can be less sometimes but never more than 90%) Steam freezes. If I dont touch it for a while, it will skip the next 10% and when I then go into Arma, im still not on version 0.52. I tried verifying game cache, reinstalling Steam/Arma3 but nothing for now. I guess the only other option would be to reinstall windows but I would like to avoid that if possible so is there any way to manually patch Arma 3? Thanks!

  12. Hey guys, Ive been trying to make an AI play an animation where he lies on the ground and coughs, yet he just wont do it! I created a AI Pilot and called him "M1" Then I gave him a move waypoint and in the waypoints ON ACT I wrote this: M1 playmove "acts_InjuredCoughRifle02"; M1 disableAI "ANIM" The AI soldier either just stands still not doing anything, runs endlessly forward or glitches all over the place. Assuming the animation plays only for a couple of seconds (Faster than my game loads the map), I decided to place a trigger which is set to "Repetedly", "Detected By Blufor" and with the same code in the ON ACT line. Is this correct? Can someone explain to me whats wrong with this setup and how I fix it? Would really appreciate some help on this! Thanks! Side question. Is there any accurate way to place an animated AI? I mean when they are leaning against a wall or something. Can I place them properly? In a 2D view its a little tricky and the 3D editor is a bit...

  16. To keep all my questions to as little Threads as possible im just going to edit the title. My current question will always be the title of the thread! Current question: I am trying to start simple and am trying to create a Humvee convoy consisting of 4 humvees being driven by bots. Now I gave them simple move orders along a straight road. (I have tried using only one Waypoint and multiple ones) The problem is. They cant just drive down the road with out driving into the grass or stopping every 15m and not to mention keeping their spacing. How do I make them move as smoothly as ive seen it being done in other tutorials? Thank you!

  18. Hey thanks! That helped a bit but scripting may be a little too advanced for me :) But I appreciate your help! Now im trying to start small by making a simple humvee convoy consisting of 4 humvees with simple move orders. The only problem is. Im telling them to move on road. They do that but they have the tendancy to drive of the road, stop randomly or just drive into a complete random direction and then realize they are going the wrong way and turn around. All I want is a smooth driving along a road. I watched a "Arma2Official" tutorial on youtube and they moved so smoothly along the road like as if they were driven by real people. How do I get them to drive so smoothly? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  19. Alright thanks! Thats really helpful! Now im sorry to bother you more and I hope you can spare a bit more time to help me but I have three more questions: 1. How do you use the UAV drones? 2. Why can the SU-25s not be flown by me? (I can fly every other russian vehicle except for this one even though it has the same settings as the other ones) 3. How do you rearm jets/how does the towing tractor work. Is it for jets? Thank you!
