Went and tested this for you, as we are interested in using this to avoid detection. AI will not fire or notice you if on a careless waypoint system. However any other combat stance and they notice you from ranges of 20-30 feet away and in turn kill you. Hope this helps you, and hope that we can eventually use these to avoid detection.
