I would be inclined to see lite as a demo of the alpha and therfore quite correctly stripped down.
-
The actual speed when sprinting maybe okay as it is but the animation of your soldier sprinting in 3rd person is ridiculous. I'm just waiting for someone to add the benny hill theme tune!! Slow the animation down please!!

Is it just me or is there not as much of a trajectorial ( is that actually a word?) arc as seen in arma 2?. I seem to be very accurate over different distances with a dead aim?. Is this depiction of the gravitational force upon a projectile actually more realistic?. Thanks for any thoughts on this!!
-
So do you think impact fx will also make it into the final arma 3 build? Or is it something that has been purposefully removed? Basically is this likely to be it as far as the weapons projectile trajectories?
-
Yeah but is this an accurate depiction of bullet drop in modern weaponry and ammunition or is it a problem that needs fixing by the devs. I've noticed that firefights seem to last longer and are at seemingly more realistic ranges than in arma 2, is this related to the new bullet physics as well?

hi all got a query and someone here may be able to please advise me! Recently i bought a crucial m4 128gb ssd. I removed my old hdd and clean installed windows to my ssd. I then put my old hdd back into my machine running alongside my new ssd. I quickly realised i could now boot into either drive giving me, in effect, two computers. I can access steam on my hdd when booted to my ssd and all seems to run fine etc etc. My question is though; is this a normal practice?, can this harm your pc?, i seem to have different versions of driver for my gpu on my ssd and hdd so will this affect anything? Any info on this sort of thing would be greatly appreciated, i seem to have very quickly built my first rig having no prior experience and whilst everything seems to work as desired i keep running into questions about my machine that i have no answer for!!. -
New to this Game - Online Coop Questions

I'll second that motion placidPaul. 7th cav is indeed a great place to get to grips with co op. I often find myself playing with those guys and more often than not enjoy some excellent tactical battles. Teamspeak isn't necessary unless your playing as a pilot. Failing that though there are many other servers and clans that welcome new players so just get out there, have a good look around and enjoy what is the best game out there. -
setting waypoints for ai single player
cjgsicknote posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Does anyone know of a way to string waypoints together for my ai squad in single player missions without high command function?. I'd very much like to set a patrol route for my ai squad to follow (with me bringing up the rear) in many of the single player missions but i cant seem to find a way to do it?? I apologise for perhaps appearing somewhat "noobish" but ive been playing this game religously for the last 2 years and still cant find a way(point) ha ha!. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is in wrong place, i have used the search function but cant find a request of a similar nature. Thanks. -
just climbed a chimney stack and happened to glance down said chimney stack to be confronted with an image of an evil looking santa smoking a dodgy looking fag!!, is this a known easter egg?? either way its very strange!!! its in bukovina by the way, large chimney in an industrial compound to the sw of the map

cjgsicknote replied to liamlight's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Have you oc'd your gpu? im sure the 560ti only runs at 820 mhz stock? if you have then try dropping it back down a bit as while 560ti oc's very well every card is different. -

have you tried verifying your cache with it being a steam game? ( right click on game in steam library, properties, local files, verify game cache) -

try deleting your config file or just move it to dt. Arma creates a new one next time you launch. worked for me with same error. -
Wireless Xbox360 Controller for Arma2?
cjgsicknote replied to soldier2390's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Just buy a wired 360 pad, plug it in and your good to go -
Trying to squeeze some extra fps out of my system. Im using gamebooster and have attempted to oc my gpu using msi afterburner. My asus gtx 560 is factory oc to 830mhz and I've pushed it to 920. Does anyone know if I'll need to up my voltage at this level? Everything seems fine but worried Im gonna blow somethin to bits!
-
Well I've got gtx560 ti, i52310, 8gb ddr 5 and arma runs admirably considering the overall cost of my rig. Between 40~60 fps at 1920~1080 which is perfectly playable with mostly very high settings but view distance down to 3k. Gamebooster seems to help but noticed things seem smoother after1.60 anyway. Sure beats a console!

I have a similar set up to you and went for the asus gtx 560ti cuii, moderately priced and runs arma, bf3, skyrim etc really well. 500w psu should suffice but you might want to consider giving yourself some headroom and upgrade that also. -
i have indeed installed ace and have even played a couple of missions with united operations as this is the sort of gameplay i have long sought after (to no avail on console). its all fairly straight forward and with the help of a few 3para and uo regulars via ts i managed it pretty easily! absolutely loving my time playing arma with possibly the greatest gaming community ever. Thanks guys and special mention to tibbo. see you all on the battlefield. if i can do it then anyone can! ---------- Post added at 01:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:44 PM ---------- just to re-iterate to op: BUY ARMA X!.seriously though for £34.99 you really cant go wrong. for less than you would pay for a console game you get arma gold, arma 2, arma cwc (original flashpoint if im not mistaken), operation arrowhead, british armed forces, private military company and eagle wing. UNBELIEVABLE VALUE! YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!
-
Get arma x. All the arma games in one box done. I came straight from the consoles without any pc experience and found arma x to be pretty simple to set up with launcher and six updater. Easy!
-
Got the boxed version for £25 from gamestation. Absolute bargain, its even got the original cwc bundled with it, maps are fantastic and. are pinned to the wall of my "war room". New graphics card gtx 560 ti and it runs like a dream, as smooth as a babys bum! Thanks bis! Just need my internet connection back on then i can rip it up online!
