I didn't see the FM change at all from CP1 to release.

Flight dynamics (important issues)

Thank f*ck. Hopefully someone at BI is mailing you a case of beer right now. -
ToH support tickets not working.

Thanks for your opinion. The Federal Law of Merchantability however, has a different "take on" such issues. -
ToH support tickets not working.
Chris CDN replied to Chris CDN's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - GENERAL
Sorry. The final product came out on release day. Should subsequent updates improve the product I will consider repurchasing at that time. I consider the money I spent payment for a product, not an investment in one. -
ToH support tickets not working.

Just for clarification, I was trying to contact the BI support via the bistudio.com link. There doesn't seem to be a customer service link, so I figured support was my best bet. -
I have tried to submit a support ticket in multiple browsers, but can not get any of them to send. Below is the text I have tried to send in an effort to secure a refund for ToH. Does anyone have any idea where I should go from here? Chris

If you're a hardcore flight sim guy, I'd say no. If you're just in it for the scenery and game play you're probably safe.

Flight dynamics (important issues)
Chris CDN replied to nightsta1ker's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - GENERAL
Indeed. I really can't bring myself to play the game anymore, but I really, really want to see it go to the next level and will help if I can. Edit: The software as it is right now is an absolutely fantastic proof of concept. I don't want to take anything away from the hard work that was put into everything that was done well. I just feel like it needs an extra 'push' to go get to where it should be. -

Good idea, but it may be a moot point. We've put hundreds of hours into feedback already with little result. Furthermore, BIS attributes the FM issues to a third party and your efforts may not have the desired end-state. (Yup, I know I'm flogging a dead horse here, but it's important to stay active I think) -

I can't agree with you enough. There were quite a few RL helo guys who offered to provide input at no cost, why they didn't take advantage of it I will never know. Take On Helicopters should more accurately be titled "Look we made a really cool map of Seattle" -
Experimental Beta Patch 1 - 85542 - Feedback
Chris CDN replied to royaltyinexile's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - PRE ORDER BETA
So can I assume that there will be no release candidate for ToH and they are going straight from beta to final? It didn't work out too well for Eagle Dynamics. If there are still major bugs this late in the game, it's going to be an interesting release... -
Pre-Orders are UP on Steam
Chris CDN replied to gimpymoo's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - PRE ORDER BETA
Something tells me it's not. The pre-order beta hasn't been out very long and there were quite a few fixes that were readily apparent. (And don't get me started on the FM). Still, fingers crossed for a quality release in a week or so. -
How do you guys trim effectively?
Chris CDN replied to whiskeytango's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - PRE ORDER BETA
I haven't mastered trim in the game at all, but in a helicopter, you push a button on the cyclic before you make a movement. When you have the cyclic where you want it to be, you let the button out and the stick will stay in the same position it was when you released the button. -
Controlling the Aircraft
Chris CDN replied to stayalive's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - PRE ORDER BETA
That being said, force trim on most aircraft generates artificial feedback. -
Handling Qualities and First Impressions
Chris CDN replied to buznee's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - PRE ORDER BETA
That's some pretty impressive math. I googled around a bit trying to find a better explanation than my own, but at the end of the day the reason I care about decreasing Vne at altitude is because the POH told me to. Your explanation makes sense to me, but doesn't change the fact that every single aircraft has decreasing Vne at altitude. If you figure out why, feel free to fill me in.
