Thanks for the help Sven, however the only thing I had to do was download the missing link that made everything work like magic! I had Arma2 and TOH and the Downtown patch 1.06 installed,no cigar! Since I had tried to download Arma2 OA that I had deleted back when things had gone wonky, I wasn't able to download it until now without missing files. What I got when I downloaded it again was Arma 2 Combined and after installing the updates, the whole package worked flawlessly.... Apparently the several updates for the Arma2 Combined addressed ALL the problems I was having. It's a real good thing since I had no idea what a lot of helpful people were suggesting I do. Would very much appreciate it if someone could walk me through installing this: TakeOnH.exe-mod=I:\path\to\Arma2;I:\path\to\TKOH;Rearmed. I understand this should allow TOH/Arma2 to initiate the TKOH Rearmed DLC. Thanks much, SilverSpur

Deleted TKOH Rearmed DLC from TOH, loads with NO ERROR MESSAGES, both TOH and Arma2 run fine. I have to conclude there is something corrupted in the TKOH Rearmed DLC..... If someone has this DLC working without problems, I would appreciate it if they would let me know which download site (sprocket) they got it from.

That's what got me the last ErrorMessage in rpt. "Administrator" didn't open TKOH. I'm done screwing around, when I feel like re-installing everything, and it's still giving me this grief, I'll be moving on to another sim.....

Not Steam version, using windows XP and not sure how to us as "Administrator" in the way you describe. Computer skills are limited but I know there are wonky things going on with TKOH Rearmed DLC.... Screwed around with this thing for too many hours already, time to step away....

From the TKOH desktop shortcut .exe. Then select TKOH Rearmed from the "Expansion" menu. All selections are there but when starting Free Flight,Seattle and South Asia are all that's listed now in area selection. I've entered sim this way several times showing Chernerus and the other options but not any longer. The Arma2 is working fine when launched from the Arma2 desktop shortcut .exe without any problems. I had deleted and re-installed TKOH and purchased Arma2 fully updated and they both ran fine separately before loading the TKOH Rearmed DLC part to the patched TKOH 1.06. This appears where the problem starts with the missing files and now this problem. As you've seen in my prior posts, the missing files sure sound like there from the "Mod" section. I don't know how to access this section of the sim to delete the -mod= that others say could be the problem. Thanks, SilverSpur

After several hours of flying TKOH Rearmed in Chernarus (at different times), it just stopped at next startup. Tried re-installing Rearmed DLC, no success. Any suggestions from our experts? If eliminating -mod= is a suggestion, please advise on how to access file to make this change. Thanks, SilverSpur

During install! and did download all from Sprocket. I just got tired of dinking around and re-ordered both TKOH and Arma2 OA for a deletion and re-install. As I mentioned, TKOH loaded fine and ran great, installed patch 1.06 without Rearmed DLC (Arma2 OA could not load (missing files) after two complete download attempts from Sprocket. Wanted Chernus anyway so ordered/installed Arma2 which downloaded and installed fine. Here's the kicker, I still get both of the error messages I first got initially that trashed TKOH (see post #1). This happened after installing Rearmed DLC upon installing Arma2 . The errors now just say "continue" and I can run TKOH Rearmed fine for now. Neither the installations of Arma2 or TKOH displayed any errors when played separately, go figure. I'm not computer literate enough to figure this one out.... Thanks for all your help SilverSpur

Downloaded both TKOH and Arma2 OA for re-installation. TKOH downloaded and installed fine, already at 1.05. Updated to 1.06 but did not install Rearmed DLC. Runs fine now (so corrupted before re-install it wouldn't even open). Arma2 OA would not complete an install after download, missing files. Tried twice without success. Would you know how to get a good usable Arma2 OA download, really would like to use the Rearmed DLC. Thanks much, SilverSpur

Thanks much for your help, however, not sure what you mean by making a short cut to the takeof.exe and add -mod=dummy. I have limited skills in this area. If you could, a brief tutorial would be great. Thanks again, SilverSpur

Missing files not in original Arma OA either. I've seen these same files missing on the Arma II sight and no one has helped that individual either. The files are obviously missing or corrupted in the download. I would be great if the programmers at Bohemia Interactive to check this out.

Do not have steam version. These errors now show up in my back-up of TKOH, go figure. I'll follow up with re-installing Arma OA. Thanks, SilverSpur

Installed patch 1.06, no problems. Shows 1.06 loaded and has TKOH: Rearmed in the Expansions list. Getting error messages: Addon 'CAAIR_BAF' requires Addon 'CAcharacters_E'. Then the next one appears when trying to open either TKOH Rearmed or Arma OA: No entry 'Config.bin/CFGvehicles/SUV_Base_EP1.scope'. Running WinXP SP3. Simulation has been running fine, no glitches till now. Need some expertise, Thanks much, SilverSpur

Thanks for the heads up, figured it out after trying analog again, (didn't work initially) Everything works fine now, no ballooning before touchdown is a welcome fix...
