    Disappointed after 13 years of 'Arma'

    AI is not the only reason ARMA3 is disappointing. I have a long list of reason why ARMA3 is not even close to what they have promised. But as far as AI goes I guess that BIS "solution" to this problem is the new DLC "ZEUS". Back in ARAM2 the community have try countless ways to improve the silly AI behavior with all kinds of scripts, some added functions that allowed player to be stealthy, other added the suppression factor on to AI, and many other that i can quite remember. I really do not think BIS is listening to the community. I remember when the gameplay was released by BIS and it showed a mission where a diver had to infiltrate an enemy base and plant explosives on a boat. The dynamic of the mission is not on the root of the game and it can only be achieve if you know the basics on scripting. Althought AI is a big part of the reason why people are getting so frustrated, there are other things that would improve the game play as far is MP goes if was introduced in to the engine. In my opinion the first would be LOGISTICS, it is probably my main problem with the game. Being able to load things container in vehicles, vehicles in vehicles and etc... to be carried into battle. A very important part of the battle is logistic. Being able to carry gun crates from on side to the other should be in the root of this game. Shooting from moving vehicles. Although this game has physics it seems impossible to shoot from moving vehicles. This would improve game play a whole lot. Large vehicles like ships, large vehicles like ships would bring game play to a whole other level, and would give us purpose to actually play as a diver on MP. Animation... another thing that arma series lacks off. From animation to get in and out of vehicles where doors will open to animation of you falling from a median height. I got say, TOH was better polished than any other game done by BIS. You see i do give credit where credit is due. :D Anyways i guess we can only wait, and write on the forums.

  6. After reading this I felt compelled to ask, to you Sir. Hazach to Please explain to us how taking something that was made for the community (FREE) that no longer works and fixing it, then releasing to this same community (FREE) to which the work was intended, and then giving credit where credit is due. In this case to the original AUTHOR of the work. How can this constitute in any shape or form Intellectual Property Crime? Please cut the BS. To reasonable people this constitute as a service to the community. As a very smart man said once, but i guess by quoting him i may be committing some kind of Property Crime. :D Please be reasonable!   7. Thank you Jackson and highhead. I guess i didnt make myself clear. Sorry about that. I do not want to use the CS at this moment. I am just trying to place the empty unit (plane) on the Nimitz deck. But some how when a start mission the plane is under the water, even though i have this on its initiation box It only works when i link the unit (plane) to the Profile system. Any work around?

  9. Awww ok thank you very much. I only ask because i am trying to place units on the Nimitz and it seems that empty units are sawing under water event i set on their init line the proper height. is there a solution?

Hello guys I am trying to achieve a Attitude indicator similar to what we have in the ghost hawk.. does anybody know how can i do that? maybe an example. i was looking at the models from arma 2 could not find one. thx ---------- Post added at 02:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:19 AM ---------- I have added the collision light on my plane, but since the last update they have gone very weak i almost cant see them.   16. Hello TeTeT, First of all thank you for taking on this huge project. I have a few question. Are you planing to port the Nimitz crew and tow vehicle to Arma 3? How close are you from fixing the bug that damage the vehicles on board?   17. Hello guys, I m starting this thread just to see if there is anyone else out there who would love to have the Seattle map of TOH improved and introduced into ARMA III like i do. If yes comment down below and let's hope that the developers consider on to doing it. I believe the some visual improvement, addition of roads and bridge and maybe more enterable buildings would do it. :D What do you think!? Ps.   18. Hello guys, Since the release of the Arma 2 models. I have been trying to get the textures of some of the units from the ACR. I have try many tools but i cant open the ACR PBO. What m I doing wrong? Is it even possible to open them?
  19. Hello guys, I doubt this will go anywhere but i though i would give a try. I guess by now most of you already know me. I've been around for sometime now. I m big fun of ARMA series. I felt in love with the game two year ago, and have been playing the game since. I've seem projects like FFAA mod and thought it would be great to have a Brazilian Mod to help enhance my ARMA experience>:, . Anyways I have started modeling a few vehicles and I m improving on it. Today I thought it would be great to have some more people helping me out. :D Well, not that i m complaining. This community is great and some of the guys have given me good advices. Guys like Gnat, da12monkey and others. Thank you guys! Anyways i have a rough idea of what would be needed to have a good base for a mod, and I need some guys that would like to take on this project with me. If you are interested please let me know. PS. You don't need to be Brazilian! :D + one to model 1 or 2 to texture 1 or 2 to script the configs I already have few models that were donated by a good friend and would need some improvement. I am easy to work with, love to work in group, always open for constructive criticisms and I would expect the same. There will not be any monetary incentive. :( Just the love for the game! :D I hope i am posting on the right place! :D

    Hello guys, I am having some issues with the 3D HUD. I have copy copy the example from the A10. But for some reason the horizon lines and that little ball on the center that alines with with horizon line when you are leveled. are some how out of position. I am using the physyx system on my plane. Can someone tell me how to aline them? is there a good tutorial?

    Allright I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After a all nighter i found the problem. I notice that the Property Name Value for "STEP" ans XSTEP were a little high. It should be 0.000000. So if you are having the same problem please make sure to follow this instructions and make sure this Value are correct. Anyways now the only thing that I am missing as far as animation goes is to make the arms move as I turn. Does anyone know if it is possible to do it?? Thank you!

    One more thing, if i am able to make a custom animation how can i make the hands react to movement? OMG I am faced with a new problem now. When i exit the vehicle I am being launched miles away to my death. Does anybody ever experienced this, what could be the problem. I have a custom vehicle animation! Thank you! Yes it is official, I have run some tests and it is the rtm i made that is causing this problem. With the Arma 3 driver animation the player exits the plane just fine. What could it be? It is always something. This is driving me :232:
  24. Do you have a PilotView? Is the same proxy on the pilot view too? That maybe the problem
