Public server who kicks you off for following their rules, lol. I usually don't complain about people but felt the need to with these guys.
I joined the server looking for a decent ping, I play stock ARMA2 and they had 9 people in the server and my ping was 50, so it looked like a good choice. Now I'm a flight sim enthusiast and I enjoy supporting ground troops while flying a helo preferably, I join the server and choose a pilot slot. As soon as I get in a AH1Z I here a guy by the name of windfart or something say I wouldn't do that and a man standing in front of my heli, not sure what's going on with this guy so I get airborne and "boom" shot down by the windfart =BMR=.
Okay, I ask him what the deal is and after a few minutes he says to join the TS server, okay, yea, I should've read the server notes, my bad. I download TS3, join the server, go into the evo room where low and behold, no one is there or in any of the ARMA2 rooms. Now the whole time, these guys are using in game comms. That's good to keep others in the loop but really, no one is in there ARMA2 room on the TS3 server, when this windfart guy just threw a temper tantrum for me not being on the server.
What do I do now that I'm on the TS server. I send a message in the game saying I joined the TS3 server and joined the evo room. I wait a minute, no response, I send the message in-game once again, no response, so I figure allright they must realise I'm on the server. I jump in the AH1Z again, start it up, and I get this windfart guy jump in a chopper also and turn it towards me, I talk on TS3, even though no one is the room to confirm I'm on, I use the in-game comms to confirm I'm on and I figure instead of taking off, I'll wait for confirmation from the windfart.
Waiting, waiting, no response then I get another BMR member who says who King, and I get kicked. Very mature group of guys there. Like said I'm a flight sim guy and I'd rather fly then partake in the ground war, flying is my strength and that's where I'd be the most usefull and I like supporting the ground war. But it honestly struck a nerve with me with this guy windfart, I don't know why, I'm usually laid back and rarely complain. Perhaps it was the tone of his voice, you can tell alot about someones character just by the voice.
Just thought I'd let ya's know that you may as well let the MBR guys play with themselves. What's the point of having a public server when your going to kick people who actually comply with your rules. Will my review make a difference, probably not, but just thought I'd vent a little. And some people wonder why ARMA2 multiplayer isn't as strong as it should be, take a look at some of the people on the servers who represent their clan and you'll know exactly why.
Oh, and windfart=BMR= is actually, Wingbreaker=MBR= a real classy guy. The guy who I'm assuming kicked me though, seemed nice, he was helping someone out with putting marks on the map.
