How much is 75% of 0? :butbut: Sorry for the joke, but seriously, I'm waiting for something big, because only the big events deserve their own countdown.
  3. Well, there's the Geneva Convention. There's a bounty on the Lord Resistance Army leader, Joseph Kony, and some people say several bounty hunters and mercenaries from around the world attended it, but no one really got it I think. Kadafi's government in Lybia also employs mercenary armies.

    Surviving a 50.cal Shot at 2300m

Maybe the bullet changed direction after hiting the first enemy and so missed the others?
  5. But mercenaries are illegal. Also, you don't choose who to fight for, your company chooses it for you. If you don't like it, they pull you out.

Yeah, soon the expeculation may start, but I like it somehow. EDIT: Reading previous posts, I see it already started! Oh you community ;) I wanna have a try too: RTT?
  7. Probably because it does include BIS material and they don't want it to be used by anyone out of PR development. I want to congratulate UK_force for coming here to talk to the flamers. I hope the team knows that most people are willing to play and accept the conditions to do so.
  8. I'm pretty sure that the "A4" only means that it is flat top. The "MWS" designates that it uses a RIS. Also, the M16A4 is, in fact, called M16A2E4, so the rifle portrayed may be a M16A3E4. (EDIT: i'm not too sure about his, as the M16A3 is called M16A2E3 too). Some people confuse (maybe it is what the developers are doing) the A3 designation for flattop because it stay true to the civilian AR numbered rifles. For instance, the Colt ACR was the M16A2E2. I got this NSN 1005-01-367-5112 in this AR15.com thread. Also, armouries are likely to call any M16 with newer upper but with the A1 lower an A3. Good info from armyproperty.com: #1 and #2 This photo by SMGLee shows a Sabre Defence M16A3 with flattop: http://i50.tinypic.com/9bko5s.jpg Also, the Colt Site cites some (4, if I still remember it) variants for the M16A4, including Full-auto.
  9. Infiltration has a good lean system IMO. ---------- Post added at 11:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:24 PM ---------- I'm not saying the IMFDB is a reliable source, but here they say M16A3 was adopted as a more correct designation. Some forums too
  10. M16A3 just because they wanted full auto?
  11. If you are talking about given servers that follow strict rules and all, that's okay, they can impose a playing style for the players.
  12. Nou, please, don't take the issue personally. Isn't ArmA2 a sand-box game? Isn't it meant to be played the way you want it? You can go all tacticool or rambo style, only need some refinements. You are accusing the BF2 newcomers of playing the game the way they want, lol.
  13. I think the flamewar is a bit offtopic, as talking exclusively about PR. Now, what if a mod is encoded in such a way that it's contents/features are only playable when it's the only mod activated? Or what about a different launching .exe? This would render all additional mods not compatible with the first one. Is this possible to do in ArmA according to the EULA? (I'm in no way a programmer/scripter/encoder, so please don't be so hard in the asnwers ;) )
  14. Why are you so mad about what PRteam decides to do with their work? Also, they signed with BI, so it's possible some of the rules come strictly from the studios. Their work, their decision. Don't like it? So don't play it. After all, it's free to use, but it's still their content and it's not to be ripped by others, if they don't want it to be. ---------- Post added at 04:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:11 PM ---------- Why the public release? Because they are cool enough to let us use they work for free (like all modders around here). But this community is starting a issue where there is no issue. I wanna see everybody's face if they say that, thanks to the negative reaction, they are pulling it out.

    Vora_bat content theft

There are lots of mods with Pot (Price of Terrorism, one of his previous mods) content. I don't know if all they have the stolen content that took this mod down, but it may be possible that the MoW community is going in the direction of a purge.
  16. Haha dude, I was not saying they are good games. I was all the time defending the people that like the games because some people say they have low expectations or things like that, like they have no right to like a particular game because most don't like it. The whole point just evolved. But it's enough.
  17. Ok, I could have elaborate more, but you get the point. When talking about other games, this is a fact. But I think I'm deviating the thread subject a little with all the discussion. Well, I did not even play DR/RR.
  18. 90% of the time the community speaks with fanboyism and elitism. Does that say that 90% of the members are fanboys and elitists? Do each member have a equal share of the posts? Oh no? Ok so...

(Quite late, hum?) Thanks to everyone that prizes for IP. What a great sentence!
  20. You are still comparing it lol I didn't say that 90% of the members are elitists and fanboys (@JdB). You'd better learn to read. How can you deny that some people like it? It's their opinion. You act as I was bashing BIS or praising CM, but I'm not doing either. I'm simply defending the right to think whatever you want want to. Also, you may think whatever you want. ---------- Post added at 09:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:34 PM ---------- This is your opinion. While many share it, people still have the right to play and like the game.
  21. You people are really missing my point. I'm saying something so obvious that you refuse to see. I've been saying the last posts that what is "fun" is a personal opinion, and that someone may find OFP2/3 "fun", period. You can't deny it. Some people may like it. Also, you've been judging it biased by ARMA experiences. It's not Arma, it's not OFP either, it's an individual game (well, two) that don't lose their individual quality just because they share the name with a previous game.
  22. It's a matter of opinion dude. This is what I've been talking sometime. There are (fact) people that like DR and/or RR. There's people that like COD (the most hated game in this community), there's people that like Tibia, there's people that like Minesweeper (my favourite, of course), and there's people that hate them all. Now, how can someone tell anyone that the game that he like/love/dislike/hate is good/bad/horrible/perfect? It's all a matter of opinion. What I'm talking about is that people hate OFP2/3 because of the developer, not because of the game. A lot of people here that hate them didn't even bother to play it. How is that? People complain about bugs, but people have been playing ARMA2 since day one, and they love it! Sometimes, it's forgiveable, as not everyone is so minimalistic and sensitive about these kinds of things. You may say it's broken or unfinished, but, afterall, if someone finds fun playing it, what's it worth for him?
  23. No, that's because 90% of the time the community speaks with fanboyism and elitism  It may surprise some people, but there are other good games out there.
