1:33 = traveling back in time -
Countries spying their neighbors is something pretty common. It happens all the time, some countries are sensitive about it, but they can't stop the satellites, commercial or military.

Fixed it for ya ;) We don't speak spanish.

The developers should have, at least, visited São Paulo. Definitively, that's not the São Paulo I know and lived in.

If the island was depicted incorrectly (I mean, like video games do with Mexico and Brazil) they would be with the reason. But, as I see, BIS is making all the efforts to make the island the most authentic possible given the software and hardware limitations. I wouldn't care if my city was depicted as a war zone in a video game, but I would care if it was depicted, incorreclty, in a negative way.

The recommended setting will suffice only medium graphics I heard. Imagine how cheap will be the console version graphics. -

ARMA2 + This sc6bYZGm-kQ Looks interesting xD

Really interesting. If true, how long until they are able to actually reproduce the images with rendering softwares? A lot of possibilities open up...

The Principle of Relativity is one of the principles the Theory of relativity is based on. This theory consequences are that nothing can be faster than light in vacuum, the speed of light is the same for every observer, regardless of the motion, the interelation between mass and energy (being c^2 the square of the speed of light) and others.

What weapons/vehicles would you like to see in ArmA 3?
-GR-Operative replied to archaon98's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
You realize most AKs are in fact AKMs right? ---------- Post added at 11:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:10 PM ---------- Of course it does! Let's see: Standard UK rifle in the end of the XIX century = Lee-Enfield Standard UK and Commonwealth rifle in WWI = Lee-Enfield Standard UK rifle Commonwealth rifle in WWII = Lee-Enfield Standard UK rifle in the mid of the XX century = Lee-Enfield I see a pattern emerging! Let me guess what the UK will be using in ArmA3: Lee-Enfield? Jokes aside, the evolution really happens, but old, proven combat weapons and methods are not just abandoned. Just because automatic and assault rifles and carbines appeared in WWII does not mean that the proven bolt-action would be throw away, as an example, because the doctrine of the time required accurrate rifles, even most combats taking place within a 300m range. The prototype and fancy guns are cool? Of course some are for most, but being shot by one of those is just as lethal as being shot by a Lee-Enfield. But if the military doctrine change a bit or is interpreted in a different way the loadout may change. A good example is the adoption of the M27 IAR by the USMC. But really, I'm pretty sure the AR15 is not going to be the same in the 2030s. Maybe different uppers, different rails, dunno, but it will be very likely still be used. -
It's for that reason it's called Relativity Theory ;)

Really nice video. That technique is used here in my country too, but we don't use fossil energy sources, mostly hidroeletric sources.

Some features from Ghost Recon, Infiltration (Mod), SWAT 3/4, and Red Orchestra should suffice for infantry aspects I suppose. Steal Bitches, er, Steel Beasts seems the right one for armour simulation, but I think they too need some love for infantry, because the infantry is, at most, acceptable in SB.

Lennard's WIP thread

It was pretty clear for me :j: -
They did it exactly as the higher command wanted I suppose. That is what the industry wants, people that can do what they are supposed to do. Now, do these people get moved to another CM studio or they are free to sign with other developers?

TOH South Asian terrain. Where is it?
-GR-Operative replied to bobocz's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - GENERAL
Really thank you! I wasn't expecting a dev answer, but you guys are really communicative :o Also, thanks for adding the captions! -
The game-developers (modelers, mappers, scripters, etc) are really talented, but they were somewhat 'misguided'. BIS probably could get some of those to work in ARMA3 or VBS2 (that really receives heavy funding).

OCv7tQFOwK4 Does this say anything (not that good with english listening)? -
Changing a bit the pace, this is a show by the japanese Doom Metal band Corrupted in it's US East Coast 1997 tour. (If you have about 3 hours to spare, consider watching both videos.) WARNING! If you are not into extreme metal and shouted/growled vocals, don't listen. Also, this is pretty slow paced, so most metal listeners might not like. WARNING! [2] This is a raw VHS non-edited video, so there are some glitches and things of the like, but the low-quality of the video add some to the songs IMHO. XmZx2b46v88 edBp15Wmb0Q I CLAIM NO RIGHTS ABOUT THE VIDEO, THE PRODUCTION AND THE SONGS! ALL CREDITS GO TO CORRUPTED AND THE VIDEO GUY!

The newest Unofficial Expansion Pack is Rockall. I like it a lot. It use's Thumper's 7.62 weapons mod. The best Weapon's mods are, IMHO, Prozac's M4 SOPMOD and M16A4Addon, Natsanwa's SCAR-pack, Earl's Standard Upgrade and Vympel. You can always try some mods that bring skins and weapons altogether, like the USMC mod or the MVD Osnaz. The best skins mods, IMHO, are Eskwaad's (did I type it right?) Delta Force 1990s and Callmehobbes USSOCOM. CENTCOM is really good also, but I don't like how some weapons are inacurrate (some fixes shall do, though). If I get to get my copy of an older 3DSM, I shall start to mod Ghost Recon. I already have some models and I can pretty much do some basic skins. PS.: Earl also do the weapons for Canadian Operatives 2 and Eskwaad also do the skins for Blood Oil and CENTCON.
