BBC News Article: Zombies help ageing title Arma II top video game charts
-GR-Operative replied to jeza's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Probably, ITV is going to show why zombies may be real with DayZ footage :) -
Japanese Self-Defence Force DLC might be in the making.

So, we got 6 different positions, in 3 "moments" (the order of the pictures). I'm trying to order the marks within the picture they belong (so there's only six possible orders in each picture), but of couse there must be an obvious ordering (alphabetical ordering doesn't bring nothing too perceptible at least). ~~~~~~ Bingo? What you discovered? >__< ~~~~~~ So yeah, it pretty much sums it all. Thanks! -

Still, the position of the marks looks very suspicious. If each picture was to form a letter, it would read lvl (lul?). And that would definitively be funny :) -

I know :) But Placebo emphasized FOG OF WAR (all capitalized). -

In case it's really about JSDF: April 1st, 2011: Take on Zombies (FALSE) and Take on Helicopters (TRUE) April 1st, 2012: Aliens in Arma3 ("Probably" FALSE*) and JSDF DLC (???) A pattern emeging? :) *I say "probably" because, you know, we don't have JSDF confirmed yet, it could be an easter egg in the final product and, we all know, BIS likes elaborate pranks. WAIT, why the emphasin on FOG OF WAR? This really intrigues me... Ok, each picture has three labels (is this the right word?), but the FOG OF WAR is in the exactly same place in all three. The right mark appears in two different places, and the upper-left mark in three different places. Well, maybe I'm looking too much at it. -
Cool, so man don't need get their military haircut anymore? Or worse, do woman have to get the same haircut? :P

Quick question (not a request, please don't take it that way!): I know the FAMAS has it's own rifle grenades, mainly the APAV40, are them portrayed in this mod? Thanks for your attentions and good job! :) ^ I suppose this is an overpowered AT grenade, am I right? Because that recoil is brutal! -

When the Russian exchange students do arrive? -
Looks great! Remembers me of some Danish shooting footage on Youtube, so I guess it's really on the right direction.

Upcoming tactical shooter from Blackfoot Studios: Ground Branch
-GR-Operative replied to Tactical Jerky's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
I think you misunderstood the principle. They said that because in most tac-shooters the player is unable to do simple actions, like jumping. This is done on the development for balancing issues. The BFS philosofy says: if it's possible to do in real life, it should be possible to do in-game, with the realism providing the balancing. Like, you don't have to guess if the game allows you to hop over a small object, you will be able to do it like in real life, so you need to ask yourself if you are feeling lucky to not be hit by some enemy nearby while you perform such actions. -

OT (a bit): It's official BlackFootStudios announced today they will go the Kickstarter route soon! (Check at http://www.blackfootstudios.com/) So KS is proving to be a relief in the niche markets. It makes me wonder in how many ways it can contribute to the development of the Tactical-shooter genre: addon funding, leagues, etc. -

I like what I'm seeing, but it looks to clean for me (not talking about saturation). You know, you see those tanks crossing the fields and it's like they are permanently clean: no mud, no dirt, etc. Maybe it will be modded soon after the release... -
Arma 2 Addon request thread
-GR-Operative replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I'm sure I already mentioned it several times, but I'm going to request a plain AR-18. Why? Because of this and this. It would perfectly fit, and it's the weapon I miss most when talking about IRA. So, if someone got this idea, I'm also providing a source for reference pics (I see this site is a little picky about downloading their material, so it would be better to ask first). In this gallery, you will find an original Costa Mesa (US made, for those that didn't know) Armalite AR-180. Hoping I aroused some interest :) -
New Arma 2 DLC: Japanese Self Defense Forces
-GR-Operative replied to [evo] dan's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Well, I think BIS likes to do double pranks on April Fools': One is really a joke, while the other becomes real. I just thought it was going to be a Chinese DLC the next one, but whatever, we will mindlessly love anything BIS does (if it's real, because I'm really skeptical about this one). Gimme my Howa AR-18 and I'll be more than happy to switch sides and start playing as a japanese soldier. -
