International Combined Expeditionary Forces Teamspeak: icef.teamspeakcp.com | Port: 9990 Introduction Firstly let us introduce ourselves to the Arma community. The International Combined Expeditionary Force (ICEF) is a newly formed unit but with a long history in the community. Some of our leading members have been playing together for over 5 years and our core leadership has been running a detachment together for over a year. Due to extenuating circumstances over the past couple of months we have undergone a process of relocation and reorganisation, with our core group of 40 members working hard to create a new and improved organisation. After many weeks of hard work and struggle, ICEF is the result and we are proud to open our doors for new members. Structure ICEF has a structure and organisation based upon the principles and layouts of most modern armed forces. ICEF takes the shape of a Company sized-detachment, albeit a small Company at our current numbers due to our reorganisation, and therefore currently consists of an Infantry Platoon and an Air Wing. Each Platoon is led by a Platoon Commander and his 2ic the Platoon Sergeant, the structure then breaks down differently for each platoon as detailed below. Infantry Platoon Platoon Commander: SSgt.Flymyty Platoon Sergeant: Sgt.Glowbal The Infantry Platoon is tasked with identifying and destroying the enemy and is responsible for all conventional infantry operations, they are capable of attacking and defending and are Special Operations Capable (SOC). The Platoon is broken down into 5 groups: Platoon Command, Alpha Section, Bravo Section, Charlie Section and Foxtrot Team. Platoon Command consists of the CO and his Sergeant who command the Platoon during operations, attached to command is the Platoon Medic and two Platoon Marksmen. The three sections are the main body of the Platoon, each being led by a Section Commander and a 2ic, allowing for swift command and control within the Platoon. Foxtrot Team provides a sustained-fire role supporting the three infantry sections through the use of machine-gun and heavy weapon fire. The Platoon Drill Sergeant is responsible for all training of recruits and acts in a liasing role between Platoon Command and the sections. Air Wing Platoon Commander: 2ndLt.Silver Platoon Sergeant: SSgt.BlackHeart Air Group Commander: FLt.p3te The Air Wing consists of an Air Group and a Ground Team. The Air Group consists of the pilots who provide the Platoons with Close Air Support (CAS), Transport, Logistics and MedEvac's. The Ground Team provides multiple specialised functions including: Long Range Recon, Force Recon, Combat Search And Rescue (CSAR), Quick Reaction Force (QRF) and Aerial Assault. The Ground Team also operates as crewmen for the various helicopters that the Air Group flies, acting as door gunners, loadmasters and Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT). Operations ICEF operates in all areas of the world and in all types of operations, utilising our high standards of training to perform in any situation. These official missions take place once a week and can vary from slow paced patrol missions with sudden bursts of action, or capturing a high valuable target while enemy reinforcements are moving in fast, to large-scale conventional warfare. In addition to that, we also have a training day once a week where we practice core skills and operational techniques, ranging from convoy trainings, or urban operations, all the way to parachute operations. Every once in a while, we have a large scale campaign, that is driven by a planned and structured storyline complete with background history of the operation and detailed briefings. These campaigns are packed with high intensity action, fun, immersion and a lot more. It is the level of immersion and involvement that makes these campaigns stand out, where our actions in one operation will directly affect what happens in the next. This is truly simulation gaming. In ICEF we have a flexible system in terms of attendance. We do not force our members to be online every operation night or training. Unlike some, we do understand the fact that real life is more important than any gaming community and that people should only attend if they have the time and the desire to play. Therefore we have a Leave Of Absence (LOA) system, which means that if ever you are not able to attend an operation, you simply post an LOA and there are no problems.
