Exactly what I experienced....sometimes I woder if everyone play the same arma2 as I do 0.o

It may not help you, but if you have ArmA II be sure you didn't use the arma 2 cdkey for arrowhead and vice versa.

Most retailers here do not refund you when box is opened. Pisses me off :S

I had some similar problems with an HD5870 but as I said in another thread, try using the default graphical settings without messing too much with the advanced ones. It did the trick for me. Example: manually putting everything to very high made textures look really bad, but once I chose Very High on the default Graphic quality everything was fine!

Try using the default settings and not play with the advanced ones too much. It did the trick for me. just choose high or very high and see what fits best! -Goodluck!

It would be nice to update this sticky and add: If you tried all the above, try installing the patch in debug mode.

Ok I own the non-steam DVD version of ArmaII Combined operation but I cannot patch it. I must have unistalled it 6 times now and searched the forrum for hours without success! 1st, I install ArmaII without any problem and the game version is 1.06. 2nd, I install Arrowhead with success and the version is 1.50. 3rd, I launch arrowhead just to be sure that both ArmaII and Arrowhead are listed in the expansion menu (they are and yes both Arma2.exe and Arma2OA.exe are in the same game folder) 4th, I lunch the updater for armaII for versions 1.00 to 1.08, but without success since it says a couple of errors about my arma2.exe and Arma2server.exe (it also cannot install the anti-cheat system I forgot the name) 5th, (on previous experiment I even skiped step 4 and did this step right away with the same result.) I start the updater for arrowhead from 1.50 to 1.57 it almost completly installs but at 99% it says "Error found in ALL\ARMA2OA.EXE" then "Error found in ADDONS\Ca.pbo (00000000!=00000001) Then "Error found in file ARMA2SERVER.EXE" and finally "Error found in file ALL\UNISTALL.EXE" At the end, it cannot create file BEClient.dll for battlEye either. So I'm stuck with this problem wich prevent me to enjoy multiplayer and updating my game. Hope you guys can help me ! My computer specs (if it can help): Windows7 Premium 64bits Intel Core i7 cpu 920 @ 2.67Ghz 8192MB Ram ATI Radeon HD 5870 (DirectX 11) Thanks in advance for the help! :)

could someone send me their arma2oa.exe and arma2server.exe? I can't patch the game up to 1.57 because I get an error related to these two exe....I must have installed and unistalled combined operations like 30 times now....i'm desperated and gotta try this :S

well I see Arma2.exe and Arma2OA.exe .....I can't change Arma2OA.exe to Arma2oa without the .exe extension since it becomes a non-executable file :S ....I probably didn't understand completly?

Wait, are you telling me that boothing the computer in debug mod might do the trick? Omfg I never tought about that and even if it doesn't work thanks alot! (At last I would have had a couple of minutes of hope haha) PS: If someone did read the thread and didn't post because he doesn't have a clue either it's ok lol but I'm sure you understood what I meant :P

How did you even patch it to 1.57....after 3 days spending ALOT of time to try and install patch 1.57 I can't. I always get a Arma2oa.exe error......I got no solution from the thread I started either :S

well I've heard that in previous retail dvd versions of combined operations there was no ARMA2Patch_1_06.exe on the dvd. But since I bought combined operations three days ago at bestbuy it may be the latest dvd version. (ARMA2Patch_1_06.exe is on the dvd) It installs 1.06 patch automatically when doing a fresh install of the game....so trying to run it after a fresh install is useless and doesn't work since it is installed by defeault. I don't know if this might be the problem and if the 1.57 patch is made to be launched on a 1.05 version of the game?? ps: I think that Arrowhead automatically updates Arma2 to 1.06 if necessary CORRECTION: I just did a 100000th reinstall and it is arrowhead that puts ARMA2Patch_1_06.exe on the root folder in case ArmA2 wasn't at 1.06 yet (still a fresh install of arma2 gives me version 1.06) ---------- Post added at 08:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:13 PM ---------- I just did a fresh re-install and applied 1.57 patch after cleaning the registery...no success. Definatly not hardware related : I just tested the RAM....both HDD and RAM are top notch. And NoQuarter what do you mean by getting the registry cleaned?? Because I bought the game three days ago...it had never been installed on my computer before so it couldn't have been any cleaner still it didn't work the first time. But I would gladly give it a try! Do you mean going into "regedit" and deleting both Bohemia interactive and it's contend AND Bohemia interactive studio?

Well....still the same thing. the same error occur with arma2server.exe and unistall.exe....other than that there is no error, but I still cannot patch the game. (I do not have any cd at home to test RAM but the HDD is tested and it has no problem) Edit: I just found a way to do a Ram test with a usb key. I will do it in some minutes (setting up the usb key to make it boot at startup)

THAT'S the problem....I install Arrowhead in the same folder with success....everything is fine, but I still get the errors when installing 1.57...wich screws arma Arrowhead (can't even launch it) and Arma2 version remains the same.
