    A2OA Game Files

Several gigabytes upload over an ADSL connection with very small upload bandwidth I would, it would be a futile attempt to try and stop illegal downloading. The only thing in the way of piracy is the copy protection. Seems irrelevant in this situation. Valve allow public download of the server content. I think they set a good example. Why not? I have a dedicated server I use to host several things, many other developers allow easy access to the needed server files. Seems perfectly reasonable for people trying to host servers. Let me make it a suggestion then: I suggest that BIS allow download of the files that the server needs through the dedicated server software itself Managed hosting? no thanks. BIS seem to make it very easy to access the dedicated server software, but it seems that it's very difficult to actually get the additional files you need. Maybe I can instead make an open request to get the files?

    A2OA Game Files

Hi, I'm trying to host a linux dedicated server, but i'm in a bit of a tight spot. I need to upload all of the game files, but due to my amazingly low upload speed, it's completely absurd to try and upload the OA game files to the server. Does BI not allow server administrators to download the game files required to run the server directly? Other server software I use (srcds comes to mind) allows you to download the required content to run the server. Why does BI not offer this? It seems very absurd.
