How to get AH-64 to lock on when only Pilot?
CORSICA posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Well first of all I wanted to say thanks to Noricum for having helped me so much on editing a domination mission of xenos versions. Now I figued out that we have the same probleme: even from editing a new mission or a domination mission. The same efect is hapening and it's as discribed: When you get into and Apache only as pilot you can switch to manual fire. Now when i was playing domination missions before from a hosted server on the net I could easly lock on the enemy's armor and fire a hellfire missile and thus the missile would automaticly lock on the traget and hit the target even on the move. Now the probleme is that if we add an apache on a a new mission well the automatic lock on of the hellfire missile doesn't work anymore. I meen you can lock a traget but the hellfire missile wont follow the target and will just head strait out and miss it of corse. I wanted to know if anybody out there knows what xenos did to his dominations versions to get the hellfire lockon to work even if you're only a pilot and no gunner. Thanks to all and specially Noricum! cheers -
LOL Sorry about that tankbuster it's just that I;m really getting desperate and I did read allready the link you gave me and not only i'm getting lost with the explanations but the worst is at devheaven at this site I can't find any link to download the tools. It' crazy aver there. i'm just a few inches from blowing my brains out. I guess i'm just not mart enaught, wich is kind of wierd as i uselly have a good comprehension with most types of programas but this is really getting my lost as every time I open a new link it says that i need this and then I need somehting else to download and then more and more... and at the end it dosn't raelly explains me what i really need. Maybe i didn't explain myself to clearly enaugfht from the begenning and i'm sorry about that but I'm really lost as suposly i reastarted doing the whole procedure again and it's just not working. By the way i found the setup copy.exe and i did double click on it and still nothing appears. OK I'll keep trying. Cheers and thanks for the help tank and everybody

Thanks guys for the replys, The only probleme is that tankbuster is talking about another ways , looks like it, of eciting the mission but recently someone told me a much easyer way to do it wich is the one I'm talking about is that it only says to DePBO the file only with cPBO and then place this new file in the C\Documents folder where the editor file goes and then launch ARMA and directly with the editor add what you need. Once finished I click "save" and then simply select to where I want to save it and so I slect and click on the "MP mission". Once this is done I'll be able to see that it generated automaticly a pbo file in the MP mission. Now this is what I don't get... as from that point i should be able to host this new created mission but the thing as menssioned before I cannot see it. So I'll try what you guy suggested and see if I don't get lost as I'm really a noob in script and working for the first time with cPBO and those kinde of programs. Thanks P.S.: Anymore suggestion are still more than welcomed.

OK great i got to edit my domination mission and added a bunch of aoache everywhere just in case lol. So I've got two questions: 1) I did the folowing to edit: "Copy that file out and unPBO it with your favorite cPBO tool, then move the folder it creates to your missions editor folder, by default: \My Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\<ArmA2playername>\missions Then you can edit it in the Editor. When you're done just Save -> Export to Multiplayer missions and it'll will have created a PBO in your ArmA2\MPMissions folder you can host yourself." So my first question is why I can not see my edited domination when i want to creat a MP mission??? I Even put the dam pbo file every fucking where it was possible even in the C/ folder at mission and MP and as well in the documents folders. And my file doesn't apear when i want to select a mission in the game. I changed the name as well before creating again the edited pbo file. So What did I do wrong. 2) When i place a plane are a Ah-64 I select non playable unlocked etc but i have dam AI's in it what am I supose to select to just put down a simple vehicle with nobody in it??? Thanks fro any type of advice!!! Cheers!!!

How to Edit for Domination!
CORSICA replied to CORSICA's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MISSIONS - Editing & Scripting
Well the probleme is that I allready tryed this and it doesn't appear as mission you can edit. By the way I'm using steam client. So any other ways to help me edit the scrip of this mission is welcomed! Thanks -
OK So i've dowloaded the editing tool : cpbo; paaplug; Ue highlight and Unrap. So what exactly should I do or modifie in the "domination" mission to be able to get to use right away the "apache" AH-64 once the mission starts? I meen could someone please explain me step by step how I could get it done??? Thank you so much for any help on this! as well it says in armaholic "Notes: cpbo creates its shell integration using the following registry keys: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pbo\DefaultIcon HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pbo\shell\Extract all HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pbo\shell\Extract PBO... HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\create PBO\ You can remove these keys with regedit to remove the explorer integration." So should i really remove this or I can just leave it there as I'm afraid that it corupts my windows explorer as it says it patches with explorer... right?

I wanted to know how to dePBO or un-pbo a mission and where to put the source files? I've cheked out the tankbuster thread but I still can't find the way to do the folowing: What I really want to do is simply this: Once I'll start a domination mission on MP I just want to be able tu use on the instant the apache. Thats all. And leave the rest as always. Just trying to get the AH-64 to apear and be able to use it on the first start of the domination mission. OK so I'm at the ARMA editor but I'm trying to see if there's a way to load the "Domination" mission on it and then to simply add the apache? As when I'm trying to do this: I click on "load" then try to select a mission but I can only see "new mission" and no "domination" or anything. So I wanted to know if there's any way to load a prebuilt mission on the editor and modifie it and what to put to get the freeken apache? Thanks.
