Hello everyone. I have recently bought Arma: CO off of steam and cannot play it due to a game breaking bug. I cant read any of the text on the menu because it is nothing but black and white blocks. In addition, if I make it into a scenario, everything is blocky to the point of looking like n64 graphics, and text is unreadble. I understand a lot of other people have had this problem (windows 7 64 bit) and have read several other threads on this but every solution mentioned in the other threads has not worked. I have tried: -Updating video card drivers -Rolling back video card drivers to an older one -Running in compatibility mode with WinXP SP2 -limiting memory usage by setting one of the launch parameters as "-maxmem=1024" (My system has 6gb of system memory) -Manually applying the 1.18 patch Nothing is working, and I would really like to play this game. I know my computer is more than capable of running this game because it plays Arma 2: Combined Ops on Medium Settings with a smooth framerate. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Hi everyone. For some reason, a mission that I have made has become dependant on the vopsounds mod. If I try to play the mission without vopsounds loaded, I get the error: "You cannot play/edit this mission: it is dependent on content that has been deleted. vops_c_guns". If I have vopsounds loaded though, I can play the mission. I am trying to figure out why the mission is dependant on the vopsounds mod all of a sudden. I made the mission specifically so that me and a friend could play co-op on it, and he gets this error EVEN THOUGH he installed the vopsounds mod. Anyone know how to fix this? THanks

Hello everyone. I recently bought Operation Arrowhead off of steam (I already owned arma 2) and I am having some serious issues with low res textures in the game. Despite all my video settings being set to high and having a good PC to be able to support it, a lot of textures appear very low res. Here are some screencaps of the problem: http://imgur.com/a/RJHW7 Before anyone mentions anything asking about my specs, here they are: AMD Athlon II X4 @ 3.33 ghz 4 GB DDR3 Ram ATI Radeon HD 5770 Does anyone know any solutions for this? Help would be greatly appreciated

Help me out with triggers?

hey thanks guys, that worked -
Hi all, im rather new to mission making on Arma 2, and only understand the basics as of now. Im experimenting with triggers, and im having some trouble getting a trigger synchronized to a specific event. In a scenario im trying to create, a trigger that is activated by Radio Alpha forces an idle civilian to run to a set waypoint. The only problem is, when the mission starts, the "idle" civilian always runs to the set waypoint, even if radio alpha isn't called. How do I fix this? I tried synchronizing the trigger(called trigger1) to the waypoint, and then I tried typing "trigger1 = true" in the condition box on the waypoint, with still no luck. Anyone know what im doing wrong? thanks.
