same problem. Radeon 5850 1gb - drivers 10.6 With V.H. or H all works "perfect" but with default setting I got artefacts after some time of playing. Any solution ?

Hi. I have some problem to optimize my setting. I don't know why but my game don't run smoothly. My rig: CPU: i5 660 GPU: ATI Sapphire 5850 1GB RAM: 4GB DDR3 - (on winXP only 3,5 GB) MB: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3R HDD: 2 x barracuda II 0,5 TB, 16 MB SYS: WinXP 32bit SP3. My question in what luncher option I should use for my CPU? Dual-Core processor: -nosplash -cpucount=2 -exThreads=1 Quad-Core processor: -nosplash -cpucount=4 -exThreads=7 Hexacore processor: -nosplash -cpucount=6 -exThreads=7 i5 have 2 core but 4 threats ? so i dont know what option i should set. I read somewhere that I should turn OFF HTT - http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1662108&postcount=1 About my GPU. I dont know what setting should be optimized for my GPU. I try change a lot of setting and my game still don't work smoothly. Pls give me some advice, tips etc. I read a lot of topics and I'm confused. Is any topic where I can find what luncher options I can use and what this options means?

What setting should i use with my i5 660 CPU? He have 2 cores + 2 virtual cores.

After some tests nothing helps. I download ArmA2-Mark (this benchmark). After some runs my score in low. 1 - 39.2028 2 - 34.2252 3 - 25.738 4 - 38.8349 5 - 33.6224 ------------- Score - 3432.47 I run a benchmarks from game 1 - 41 fps 2 - 15 fps My actual settings: res: 1680x1050 tex - Norm Vram - high AA - low AF - norm terrain - norm objects - high shadows - norm HDR - very high PostProcess - off Vsync - off Changing details. Rise or lowering my details change my fps only by few fps. Depending am I rise or lower details. I have some question. What is beta patches? http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php If I install this patch can I play MP?
