  1. Hey guys, I'm a console shooter mainly, but am looking for a little more depth. This is my first gaming pc and I would like to know will it stand up to Arma 2. All I want is decent fps, 25-35, with medium to high graphics. This will be the most intensively demanding game that I will probably own: Total war series, Spore, X3TC,(Not to much hard core stuff in the lol.) 2. Hello all, I returned an hp desktop from christmas and now have about 900 dollars to spend on a custom gaming pc. I'm not a serious gamer, but I play serious games like socom on ps3. This game looks to be awesome and highly detailed but will probably be the most demanding on performance. I also play x3tc, spore, and the total war series. Not to much competition lol. all I want is for it to look nice, on par with console graphics? have decent fps, minimal lag frame to frame Be able to field decent settings and show stability on MP servers. (This is the main reason I bought this game.) Can you guys give me a set up that could fill the requirements otb, and maybe a few options for the most important components? Thanks
  3. Hello I got a new computer yesterday and some of it's specs aren't up to where I need them to play this (awesome-looking) game. It will load and play at a decent frame rate when everything is turned down but looks worse than a PS2 game. I have some extra cash and am going to go upgrade it if I can. What would my money be best spent on? Highlights: ATI Radeon 4200 integrated graphics. I was thinking of upgrading to an nvidia 240 gt for $100, 460 gt for $200, and an ATI Radeon 5770 for $200. AMD athlon II 635 quad core processor. Also keep in mind that I am somewhat of a Casual gamer, that enjoys immersive experiences when I do play. I don't need top of the line, start fires just to look cool, kind of equipment. I have about 300 dollars to spend and would like to keep as much of it as I can. Also what would I need to do to integrate new components other than taking the shell apart and installing them inside the frame? I need to know if this processor is at least decent to use or should I upgrade it as well? It also has 6gb of DDR ram. IDk if I should worry about this or noe. Please help because I really don't want to have a crap computer!

    Hardware issues?

So if I for some reason can not return this computer I have 300 dollars left to put into it. I found a Radeon HD 4650 card for 75 dollars. An Asus Nvidia Geforce gt 240 for 80 dollars. Would Either of these be a big step up from a Radeon 4200 Intergated graphics card? What else would be preferable to replace, as to get the most bang for my buck?

    Hardware issues?

Should I just try and return the computer? It is also having problems connecting to the internet and other issues. If I could return it are there any systems for around 5-800 dollars that would readily run this game at a decent quality?
  6. Hello Today, I received a new computer, and I was hoping that it would be able to play some recently released games.(All I had before was a 1.6ghz hp pavilion dv6000) I received another hp, this time it was the p6612p-b. It has a 2.9ghz Athlon II quad core processor, 750 gb of memory, 6gb of DDR ram, and has an ATI radeon HD 4200 integrated graphics with shared memory. I loaded ArmA 2 and even on the lowest settings it was choppy and looked worse than a PS2 game. This is not ideal and I was wondering what I could do to possibly make it better. I have a few hundred dollars left over and could afford a few upgrades. I need help because this game looks awesome. Thanks.
