I'm looking for the LT. DAMADGE Toyota Hilux 1.1 file. The link in the Dynamic Afghanistan thread doesn't seem to be working and I wonder if the server is down.

I'm trying to get together the addons needed to run Dynamic Afghanistan but so far I haven't been able to locate a site where i can get the JJR Generic Middle East Rebels 1.21 file. Any help is appreciated, even if it turns out the files are gone for good. Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering if there is a mod or something that would add the ability to reload on the move. I'm not sure if OFP even has the capability however, as previous searches on Google have come up empty or irrelevant.

What games got you into tactical gaming?

Thanks for the responses, guys. I guess I should include the Full Spectrum Warrior series; The first play-through of a level could be pretty intense but after that it became a by the numbers routine. The lack of AI freedom to choose their own actions pretty much sealed the deal on what options you had to take them down and what paths you took. If they had made the levels wide open and unleashed the AI opponents to maneuver against you, it would've been a different story. (I've only played the Xbox versions; if the PC versions are better please tell me.) -
I'd like to see what led you into becoming a tactical gamer. My own story is that of a quest to fill a gaming need within me. I began when I first played Ghost Recon 2 & Ghost Recon 2:Summit Strike for the original Xbox console. It was a different experience from the corridor shooters I was used to and I wanted more. The path then led to Rainbow Six 3, also for Xbox. I know you old school gamers will say that the console version was a watered down shell of the PC edition, and I agree, but back then it was all I knew. A ray of light appeared at a local Gamestop where the Xbox ports of the first Ghost Recon and GR: Island Thunder were on sale. My mind was blown; I had to completely change my play style to match the old school realism and I was hooked. Then, while searching Amazon for other games to expand my small library, I came upon the tome of enlightenment, Operation Flashpoint:Elite. I agree that the criticism of Codemasters is well deserved, but I have to extend my thanks to them for releasing the port of Op Flashpoint and Resistance on the Xbox. Through that game my need was met and it led me to BIS and these forums, where I finally found like-minded gamers. That's my tale, what's yours?

You might like the Behind Enemy Lines movies for mission ideas. The action isn't bad although the tactics can be iffy.

The ability to switch shoulders at will in combat to make better use of cover would be nice.

Correction. I double checked and found that the description of Ghost Recon Future Soldier was actually made during Ubisoft's E3 2010 press conference and not by Game Informer. The fact that Ubisoft made these statements is even worse news. My humble apologies to GI for the mistake.

MultiDiscussion : TES5: Skyrim, BattleField 3, COD, R6 etc.

I've been playing FPS games since I got Medal of Honor: Frontline for the original xbox and loved it. I don't have a real problem with the CoD and MW games as a whole but the games have become more linear and on-rails than older games in the genre. I thought games should be more open with room for real tactics, not a glorified carnival ride/shooting gallery mash up with extra glitz. I watched the live demos at E3 and my first thought was chaos on tracks. I also don't care for how Activision handled IWard when the studio heads wanted to pursue new IP instead of churning out the same old same old. We've seen Activision's response and they're milking their prize cash cow for all it's worth; heading down the path of irrelevance. It's sad to see other studios following in Activision's path and ruining good games (looking at you Ubisoft). -
My hopes aren't up about the new game being a return to the tactical roots of the series. Ghost Recon Future Soldier was described in Game Informer as being a return to the stealth tactics of the past entries in the series.

I would love to be able to have a four-man squad ride on the sides of a little bird to a rapid assault.

Pakistan has agreed to give back the helo wreckage but one has to wonder what they will do with any data they might have recorded from the crash, assuming they actually recorded any such data. They'll doubtless have a long list of buyers waiting, with China at the top in my opinion.

The U.S. will have to tread a thin line with Pakistan to get them to give us the tail of the stealth chopper back. We did violate their national sovereignty after all, even if the reason was justifiable.
