How do I get to the transmitter on "awakening in hell" I die from radiation no matter what direction I approach from, Is there a radiation suit or something I'm missing?

I have been running Arma 2 (non steam version) with no major problems since it was released I just bought Operation Arrowhead on steam and when I try to start it the computer freezes and I have to reboot Since installing Arrowhead, the original Arma 2 is doing the same thing, so I can't play either game I've looked at a few threads about similar probs, but I can't find this exact problem, I've tried running steam as administrator, and I've tried running with -exThread=1 on the command line as suggested on another thread I've patched Arma2 to 1.08 I've also tried uninstalling Arma2 so there is just Arrowhead installed My ArmA2OA.rpt file has the following for each freeze: ===================================================================== == c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe == "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" -exThreads=1 ===================================================================== Exe timestamp: 2010/12/05 15:13:50 Current time: 2010/12/08 18:43:36 Version 1.56.76134 Item str_disp_server_control listed twice system info:- The freeze happens just after the progress bar with tick boxes on it disappears, but it doesn't go into arma it just freezes on the desktop My graphics card drivers are up to date and I have no problems with other games, Fallout New vegas, call of duty modern warfare etc work fine ---------- Post added at 08:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 PM ---------- OK Fixed it by going back to an older video card driver, come to think of it I updated it the same day I installed Arrowhead I will try the new drivers again tomorrow, maybe was just a bad install Thanks for reading :)
