    - I'm (still) looking for a team that plays mostly Zeus and/or MCC.I


    I'd prefer PVPVE where you get the majority of players playing in a team cooperatively and then have few players play as opfor/zeus/assistant zeus along with few AIs to simulate a good number of enemies while still having some of them actually reacting like real humans.


     


    - I can't invest a lot of time in Arma at the moment so I'd be willing to play ~1-2 games of few hours a month.


     


    - No BST bullshit. I've 9 years as infantryman, I know what I'm doing, thanks. New guys would be included in squads and evaluated on the field.


     


    - Respawn : I'm playing A3 for having fun. I don't want to spend 1h45min of a 2 hours session dead because a AI with godlike aiming skills shot me in the head from 800 meters through bushes. Revive mechanics, respawn at a FOB or vehicle, stuff like that.


     


    - Few mods : I'm perfectly fine with the default 2031 setting and weapons. I don't need 3 gig worth of added modern weapons. Fewer mods is better. Stuff like TFAR, Ares and 2-3 others is fine.


     


    - No fixed MOS. Anyone can play on any position and change on any subsequent mission, from pilot to diver to Team Leader.


     


    - Mature. I'm 33. I'm fine with 18+.


     


    - I'm in Eastern Canada GMT -5 time zone, so I'm looking for a team that would play in acceptable hours for my timezone.

    I have a lot to offer. I have a lot of RL military experience and I'm willing to play as Zeus as much as playing as "the good guys" or "the bad guys".


  3. Ok I have been searching for the perfect fit for 2 years now without much success.

    Here's my selfish list of needs. I'm pretty sure there's no team that fits all of them but if you have the same, feel free to PM me, we'll check the possibility to start a new team.

    - Wednesday nights (something like 7PM-9PM ish, EST). Other nights are possible. No attendency is NEEDED. Life comes first. We set a time, people that can be there shows off, we start at a predetermied time with those that showed up. JIP is accepted.

    - No BST bullshit. I've 8 years as infantryman, I know what I'm doing, thanks. New guys would be included and squads and evaluated on the field.

    - MCC/Zeus missions: Heavily scripted missions no go for me. There's nothing like a human to adapt to ever changing situations.

    - PVEVP : The perfect setup in my eyes is having few players (10-20% of the players) playing as OpFor + few AI as enemies so you have the intelligent human factor, not only mindless bots.

    The OpFor members would be volunteers and would change every missions so it's not always the same guys that do OpFor.

    - Few mods : too much mods makes the game laggy and unstable. I'm perfectly fine with the default weapons and settings. There's still the "needed" ones like AGM/TFAR, damage mod (because I hate having to put 8 bullets in a guy to down him), MCC, and 2-3 others.

    - Realism but no "yes sir!" bullshit (I already have my share of that). No fixed MOS. Anyone can play on any position and change on any subsequent mission, from pilot to diver to Team Leader.

    - 18+. No drama. People who knows to joke when out of mission and to get serious when it's on.

  4. Yup, ID-10-T on my part for the CAS plane loitering without landing.

    I didn't see there was a "RTB" button in the tablet. >_<

    Anyhow, another question that raised on my last game.

    Is it possible to have C2ISTAR show friendly units EXCEPT your own?

    I like players to use their navigation skills and tools and not just open up the map and automatically and precisely see where they are, but I also like to simulate being able to relay info to HQ about presence of friendly forces in the vicinity.

    About the landing planes, I just tested it and takeoff and landing happened regulary fine! Which map and which plane do you use?

    I tested Altis Airfields North-East and Center (the big one, can't remember the name), with the A10-future-whatever-it-is.

    Really? Maybe the position of the CAS module?

    I've placed it at the very far north-eastern limit of the north-easternmost small airfield (Molos Airfield)

    I'll do some test by moving the module around and get back to you!

  6. I've reinstalled Alive. I've delved into it almost 1 year ago. Now with the new updates and all, I've give it another try.

    Question: Is there a way to make CAS plane actually land?

    I've noticed as soon as I ask a CAS from a plane, it never lands back to base, it keeps loitering around its spawn point.

    Also, when I ask for resupply, vehicle don't drop any crate.

    It reach destination, wait few minutes then go back to base.

    When I search the vehicule inventory, it was empty.

    Do I need to do something to get the crates?

    After just testing this and double checking C2ISTAR module will only recognize the laser designator even if you have another item set in the module on the editor. I always had a laser designator on me when running missions along with my cTab so i never really noticed.

    I do have the same issue.

    I'm using Combat System Enhanced mod and using cse_m_tablet.

    If I set this item in all other modules (Support, Logistic) it works.

    C2ISTAR doesn't.

    Whatever item you have set it to, it won't show up unless you have an Alive Tablet or PDA equiped or if you set it to LaserDesignator and have one.


  7. Wow! I'm very impressed by the last update! It's fantastic work!

    I really like the SWAT 4 style compelling!

    Delete dead bodies brush is a blessing!

    Ambiance brush is very neat!

    Only problem I encountered is once you put a sandstorm brush, even if you change it afterwards, the wind blowing sounds keeps playing.

    EDIT: By the time I wrote this post, when alt+tab back to the game, I notice the sound was gone so it may take about a minute before stopping.


  8. I am also having the same issue with mcc on the server our group uses to run ops. The mission generator just hangs, and doesn't spawn in anything even though a zone has been created to use.

    Also, the IED's that are placed cannot be disarmed. The option never comes up in the scroll wheel action menu while crawling towards it and attempting to disarm. So there is no way of knowing that it is an IED and it cannot be disarmed. I can still be blown in place, or detonate, but disarm option is not given.

    Both issues only occur when logged into a server, on my local machine, in the editor, everything works fine. Our server is running the most current version of MCC and I also have the most current version 0.4.8.

    Something I've noticed also is that when an IED sets a vehicle on fire, the fire that it creates on the vehicle last forever and does not burn out like when the regular model blows up. Eventually the flames go out. This just stays and cannot be removed. This happens on server. EDIT, fire can be removed with mcc delete tool, zeus will not delete the fireball, but only on local machine.

    However, it would be nice if the flames burnt out eventually.

  9. The Virtual Arsenal preset was not working for me. (The arsenal button, and the zeus arsenal tool was ok)

    No matter what I tried, the Arsenal menu option didn't show on the objects.

    After a little forum search, I tried a few options, and finally I found this: this addaction ["Virtual Arsenal",{["Open",true] call BIS_fnc_arsenal}];

    With this in the init line that damned menu option finally showed up :)

    Yup, isn't working for me either.

    I'll try to code you posted.

    Must have some errors in the code parsed by MCC.


  10. I am not clear how to use the PDA now removed the MCC_ Consolesera that could explain a little better? ... other things singeplayer this works?

    Not sure I get your question but in order to have access to the PDA you MUST be the leader of a group of at least 2 units (AI or Player).

    And yes, it works in singleplayer, although I always play solo by creating a LOCAL game in multiplayer for the sake of respawn functionnality.


  11. I didn't quite get how you can give pickable Supply/Ammo/Fuel crates for players to pickup and "refund" at base.

    I tried naming a crate "MCC_crateAmmo" but didn't worked.

    Is there an object you can place with Zeus?

    I played a bit with the Artillery command system and it seems that the adjustements are in hundreds of meters.

    +1 = +100m.

    Left/right adjustements are in degress.

    +2 = 2 degress right

    Would it be possible to set the adjustments to meters for both left/right and distance?

    I dunno in US army, but here we do adjustments in meters.

    distance +100 = 100m farther than last impact.

    left/right -100 = 100m left from last impact.

    Hmm, found a bug.

    If you place a Primary start location, you'll get a fade-out/fade-in and then you'll have the Deploy window but when selecting the Primary HQ, you can't deploy. you get the message : "No good position found! Try again!".

    Also, if you are using the Zeus respawn window, when you die you select the available respawn position and right after selecting it, you also get the MCC deploy window.


  12. Hmm ok I have a wierd behavior. Can someone help me out?

    Only mod loaded : MCC

    On the map, there's only 1 player soldier with unit name : mcc_curator

    On Description.ext here's what I have:

    respawn = 2;

    respawnDelay = 5;

    respawnVehicleDelay = 30;

    respawnTemplatesWest[] = {"MenuPosition","MenuInventory"};

    respawnTemplatesEast[] = {"MenuPosition","MenuInventory"};

    respawnTemplatesGuer[] = {"MenuPosition","MenuInventory"};

    respawnOnStart = 1;

    I can't access Zeus. (yes, I did log in to MCC before).

    If I disable respawn on start, I can have access to Zeus but as soon as I die, I don't.

    Pressing Y key doesn't even make the zeus logo appear nor does you hear the little "ping!" chime.

    EDIT: Hmm, seems when I put no name for the unit, I do have access to Zeus.

    Is it really the name I need to give to the unit so that I have access to editable objets?: MCC_curator? Is it case sensitive? Or should I use BIS_curator?

    I do lose ability to access Zeus on respawn though. I need to log out of MCC, then relog then I regain Zeus access (just opening and closing MCC doesn't work as usual).


  13. Hey!

    Is there a quick-easy solution to populate a zone with civilians, cars, etc?

    I know there was a way with VTS to instantly pop civilians that were randomly walking around.

    The way I do it right now, I feel it's not optimal.

    - Create a zone

    - Click on Spawn

    - Chose Civilian

    - Chose Unit

    - Chose a civilian unit

    - Chose BIS Patrol behavior

    - Click spawn

    - Repeat with another civilian type.

    Is there a quicker easier way to do that?
