Thx Tex Zero, that pretty much says again that the issue is Steam related. Will consider your solution to the problem if BI don't come up with something the next one or two days and buy the game on CD. Its been 4 days now...

Hi Dwarden, I already posted on the Troubleshooting forum but will post here as well. I have the same problem as many other people since STEAM update 13.11.10, can't join any 1.55 BE-Servers. I tried to run beta patch 75666 - no joy. Now here is the thing...with all due respect... how can you say that the problem is unrelated to STEAM, when all STEAM users i know of have this problem? All the guys playing on BE-servers all have NON-STEAM versions. This only seems to be a problem since the automatic update from STEAM from the 13.11.10. You say that you know STEAM users who claim to be able to play to play on 1.55 BattleEye servers. Is it possible that you could ask for their setup and their details? What is their game version? As much information as possible, as unrelated as it seems to be to the problem. Whats their operating system? I'm very curious how they do it, maybe then we can work out whats wrong. We tried everything so far, reinstalling latest BattlEye, running STEAM as administrator, with and without beta patch, tried rolling back to older 1.55 beta patches... no joy. Hope you guys find a solution soon since we are all waiting patiently for news and a resolution. Good luck, keep us posted! Windows 7 64bit home premium, everything installed through steam.

Was just able to reinstall Battleye on Arma2 OA and then tried to join a Battleye 1.55 server. Got kicked out again... I could not see it but a friend of mine in the game saw this: Toughtitties: Battleye Initialization Failed Don't know if it helps, but here it is. Win7-64bit, Arma2 + OA + BAF on STEAM

We have a fairly large gaming community in australia and new zealand and we have yet to find ONE(!) STEAM-Version user who is able to play Arma2 1.55 on a BattleEye enabled server. Where are all these happy STEAM users who can play? So we have trouble believing your statement, sorry mate...

:( To anyone from STEAM: I got Windows 7 64bit, Arma2, Arma2 OA and BAF from steam. Got the automatic update from steam on the 13.11.10, since then i can join only 2 MP serves. All the other servers i join, get to the screen where i can choose my player slot and then i get kicked out straight to the Arma2 multiplayer lobby, no error message or anything. We narrowed it down to be a problem with Battleye which seems to fail to start. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Battleye, no joy. Tried beta patch 75445 - no joy. Tried without beta patch - no joy. Tried to run as administrator - no joy. Tried rollback to beta patch 74630 through Yoma addonsync - could join 1.54 servers. All of our friends who are running NON-STEAM version have no problems at all. All of us with STEAM version cant play. I don't know who reads this but if its someone from STEAM, could you please fix this for us! Please! Its been 3 days now...i know its weekend over there (Australia here).
