...Steam...still...omg...why?!...8(...

:( Poor steam users of Arma 2. We are always on the wait...:confused:always the same thing. Every new patch's is a new thread. Omg! I hate that i bought this game from Steam... But i cant blame steam, because every steam user knows that it will happen, bohemia knows about it too. I'll not buy it all again (a box version of Arma2), so i'll wait until they fix it, not just me, but a lot of others for sure. I hope you help us. :eek:

They don't know what they're doing!! Today i tried once more and it pass through setup, but...no PMC at all. It just don't go any further, no PMC. But at least it runs setup, i have to agree they're trying, in many ways, mostly random ways. I hope they get it working next try...omg!!!!

All my Arma 2 games are from steam. The new update solves an OA error, but gives me another one: says that "PMC is currently unavaible. Tryu again at another time"...I can't get rid of Steam errors...omg: :eek:

Yep, but as i sad i tried both ways, with and without, and still the same problem with the original OA ".exe" file. And as i said before too, If i copy the beta OA ".exe" in the OA main folder and replace the original one it works! I can run it from steam, alone and combined, even if all security software is on.:confused: Thanks.

Hi, First of all, i'd like to thank you Jaynus! Great Job! I'm sorry that i'm having some issues. "JayArma2lib: incompatible version of Arma2 or unable to check version." I have a steam version, and im running the new beta 1.55.75666. Vista64 SP2. I copy the all files on the OA main folder, and just the dsound.dll in the beta folder. Am i missing something? Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I tried to run it with and without the Avast, ZoneAlarm, and all security software that i have. The "stopped working" message stand still. But what concerns me is not my security software, because if was it, the game shouldn't run with the beta ".exe". And it runs without a problem. So i tried to compare the results of the process monitor, for both ".exe", and what i found is that in some point, the processes runs in totally diferent ways (as shown in that pics). I don't know if im the only one having this issue, but i hope you can help me. I know you are very busy with all that posts. But if you have some time for me, i really appreciate it!

Could you answer my question, please? Why the beta ".exe." works for me and the steam ".exe" don't? Isn't it strange! Of course it is not my system, or antivirus, firewall or anything else. I think this is related to steam OA ".exe". I have deleted OA through steam and manually. Reinstalled it again, still the same problem. I have verify game cache files, still the same problem...please help me!!!!

Yes, i see, Acre is ready (steam support). But jayarma2lib its not (changelog VERSION 1.3.8 - Added OA 1.55 Steam Support - Added OA 1.55 Non-Steam Support). So it still not working with beta version. And my main question is about the problem with the ".exe" files? I don't want to use a beta ".exe." file instead of the original one to run the game. This is an alternative solution, could you please help me with that. It will fix all my problems...thanks

I'll try to explain (im not so good in English, sry): Arma 2 runs like a charm...Arma 2 OA never runned without a stoped working error (i think its not antivirus or firewall - but just to let you know, im running Avast). To make OA run, i've replaced the ".exe" file (version 1.55.75.556 - the one in the OA main folder, not in expansion/beta) with a copy of the beta ".exe" file (1.55.75.445 - the one in the expansion/beta folder). So im using the beta ".exe" inside the OA main folder. It is the only way OA runs without an error. So i would like to know why the ".exe" file in the main folder (version 1.55.75.556) is giving me that error and the beta ".exe" file (version 1.55.75.445) don't? It was happenning before, with version 1.54, and i did the same to get it working. Could you explain it for me, please? Because of this error i couldn't run Acre, cause jayarma2lib is not yet compatible with the new 1.55 beta versions... Im running steam as admin; Vista 64; 9800GTS with the latest drivers; 4 GB ram

Hi, I own Arma 2, Arma 2 OA and BAF all steam version. I could never started OA or BAF from steam cause it allways gives me a stoped working error. So i have used the ".exe" file from the beta version of the OA as a replacement of the original ".exe" file that came with steam, as a solution. After that i can play the game without giving me any error. But after the new patch 1.55, i was wondering that problem should be fixed or solved. But it was not. Now i can't play Arma 2 OA anymore, cause as i said, it stop working before it launches the game. I can't even use a beta ".exe" file as a replacement because there is no beta version for this new patch. Arma 2 is working as always, but i can't play combined operations or OA alone. I hope you can help me, cause im a big fan of this game and i used to play it almost every day...plz help me!
