    Great mod! kylania gave me a hint a few hours ago and i am enjoying it.

    I do however have a question about the diversity and such about the mod.

    When placing a IED say a IED area and giving it all the variables. i only seem to get one kind, that only works against cars.

    I maybe reading it ALL wrong, but how to get all this with triggermen, radio controlled and so on? I might be missing something but i just cant see what

    Also. When placing a Suicide Area nothing ever happens... Never! same variables as i put in IED area.

    And last but not least, how does the mine detector work?

  3. Hello everybody.

    I like to make COIN missions on Afghan based maps. And want to take a bit further, and how can I do this.

    -I would like to know if and what the best way to make "real" insurgent behavior? What do you use to bring out the bet in the AI, Scripts ideas and so on.

    -I like to place enginers, on mission so they are the only ones who can detect IED's, I would like to build more onto this aswell. Is it possible to use the ACE mine detector in some form like IRL? And for those of you who dont know what I mean. Sounds to it like IRL when used as "Primary"?

    I am also trying to find a sound when it has a "hit" on a IED like IRL.

    But my skills do not reach this far as to the making of all this. So far it has been an IED with a 2x2/3x3 trigger then another trigger 5x5 that shows a text of IED having a "hit".

    Hope there are some ppl in here there can help me along my way

  4. Seems like you keep asking the same things I will try and say it in a way that it cannot be understood otherwise

    If you choose to but from steam, and you buy All of the packets including the DLC (BAF and PMC)

    Then when you have installed them, everything you have asked for so far is THERE. And by that I mean patch 1.60, apache and so on.

    BUT if you want extra things besides that, maps, new units, vehicles, boats, planes or whatever. There is a fully capable and very talented community who give there time for FREE just so we can enjoy the game even more.

    So by that I mean, when you have bought the stuff from for example from steam IT DOESNT COST ANYMORE MONEY!

    BIS dont have anything more than what you can buy! Rest is the community made addons and so on.

    Hope this helped a bit and will make you "stop" asking for them damn maps and apaches ;) (Yes I said it in a funny tone :) )

    Enjoy this site and love the info on it.

    But i hope there is someone out there who can help me with my idea.

    I'm working on a "Super Sangar" as used in Afghanistan. For that i would need a camera being able to rotate 360 degress on the top of the sangar, and being able to observe from say a screen inside the sangar.

    Is this in any way possible or is it an idea i can throw out?

  6. Wow that looks great! Maybe the days of making IED's the old fashion way are over hehe

    I will start of by saying I have no idea how to make this kinda advanced things.

    But does anybody know if it is possible to make some kinda script or something like that, that would connect the ACE mine detector to something like this maybe even with a high pitch tone affiliated with real life mine detectors?

    And yes this has also been a part of my normal pattern when deployed so not just random asking.

    Yes I know the site is in danish, but I will explain.

    It is a handheld thermal system. Same size and build as the PVS 14 NVG and can be mounted on the same helmet mount as this.

    Maybe used ingame like in a half screen format og just fullscreen like when using the NVG's ingame.

    Hello. When on deployment in Afghanistan all of our MG62's have Elcan mounted on the LMG :)

    EDIT

    When vehicle born the LMG usually has a Aimpoint mounted due to the stability and rate of fire when mounted on vehicles

    I will start of by saying i have no skills at all in designing addons, hence my request here..

    When i make my missions i always miss one mod that would make it all very good.

    A vallon mine detector.

    What i do now is make a second trigger with a sound or message grouped with a engineer or primary sweeper. but it would be more fun to equip them with this Vallon so the function of sound and detection would only appear with this equipped..

    Is it a bad or good idea?


  10. Hey again thanks for the answers. Its not quite what im looking for but i am sure that i can use these things in a future mission...

    But i wanted to know how i can deactivate the Ied trigger if the IED was destroyed:

    I will explain.. I have the BAF ied and a trigger who together works as a IED that explodes. But if the Ied is removed, blown away, shot or whatever. The trigger wich haves the IED command is then deactivated or gets activated and blows up without anyone being in it... is this possible with my current set up?

    Sorry if its confusing the way it is explained... :)

    Ive searched and searched before posting this so im sorry in advance if there is such a topic elsewhere..

    Here is the basic IED wich I am working with

    Object.

    BAF IED4 named IED4

    Trigger 1.

    Axis 3

    Condition: this && !(thislist select 0 isKindOf "Air")

    On Act: bomb = "Sh_105_HE" createvehicle [(getPos ied4 select 0),( getpos ied 4 select 1),0.5]

    Effect. "Text" Contact IED

    Trigger 2.

    Axis 5

    Condition: this && !(thislist select 0 isKindOf "Air")

    Effect: "text" Vallon is responding.

    The idea is that if you walk slow enough the Vallon (Minedetector) will pick it up and you can avoid it. but to fast you walk straight in to it.

    My question having said all this is i want to be able to deactivate the IED by placing a satchel, C4 what ever close to it (in the area of trigger 2)

    is this possible?

    I wanted to ask help from modders that might think that my idea was a good one.

    My idea is the HMMWV wich my unit in helmand province was stationed with. Its a rebuilt version made for Recon

    My idea was to build on from the existing HMMWV SOV that already exists ingame.
