I just experienced same and noticed Task: Arrest Nikolayev stops working when Cpt. Shaftoe is clitched to death by his chair. It causes other objectives to malfunction. Read more here: http://dev-heaven.net/issues/25560

The leader is not switching places anymore in that point so passing time will not bring him to you. From my private walkthrough tips: Task: Insurgent leader: One of the places where leader can be found is at GPS COORS 084049. Leader is just a normal looking soldier with green camouflage top, black & white camouflage bottom, khaki cap in the head, black boots and cloves. He is either alive in the forest surrounding the enemy main camp, rolling in the ground wounded near the weapon smugglers or dead inside the enemy main camp. According to one report his body may also be found blasted inside fortification textures. Search with patience by pointing all bodies and if no green Search body appears then just scroll your mousewheel and choose Hide body so you do not search all the bodies multiple times. If you find him still alive, there is no other way than to eliminate him to get the documents which is one of the two evidences. The leaders body also sometimes has a pretty good weapon with it, if you need one. If you still can't find him, use action menu for one razor team member to order him to search the leader or the body and follow that member when he starts to run there. Dr. Sova can't be saved. I have waited around him and he just spawns to a tree hanged no matter what you do or say. Also 3 CDF military polices will spawn around the house. I have cut down the three before he is hanged but he will be hanged floating in air too. I have also parked vehicles around the house to prevent CDF military police to spawn there, but they will spawn inside and over my vehicles. Very lame. Probably pointless to report it as a bug, but maybe I will some day. I have never seen Insurgent Leader in any of 6 sentry camps, but looking anywhere is ofcourse possible, but waste of time.BTW. Using spoiler tags here on OFFICIAL MISSIONS subforum is not required. Anywhere else they are required.

2 years ago TVadney reported this as a bug. It was later Rejected because "This is by design." but since you were clearly annoyed because of it, you could still give vote for it to express opinion even though it is rejected.

Hanzu replied to Hanzu's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Yes good point PvPscene! I renamed all World category titles to include GPS COORDS and because of that issues will be sorted out by subject from west to east order. So it would require minimum mouse movement and map scrolling to who ever would do the fixing. I still have at least 3 new World category bugs I need to report. Not really new but never CIT reported ones anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Chernarus map used in Take On Helicopters too? Which IMO would have given more reasons to provide fixed Chernarus. Chernarus is a complex piece of art and that is why it has almost 30 issues alone, when Zargabad has 3, Takistan 2, Utes 1 and other maps 0 (reported ones). -

Thank you OMAC. Looks like we are one of the few in community how care about this big time and I suppose BIS is mainly fixing bugs related to things (engine and AI fixes) they can use in ArmA 3. Anyway it still is nice to have as many bugs reported as possible to help players workaround them. All World category bugs are now tested by me with 1.60 BETA, but it a shame BIS is not AFAIK planning to release fixed version of Chernarus (which would eliminate tens of World bugs immediately). If nothing else maybe one day we can have fixed Arma2 maps as custom maps for Arma3. I wish I would have time and fellow player to test all bugs in Campaign and Mission categories with latest beta. Remember you can now also edit CIT report titles and descriptions of any issue. Suma once said he has hard time reading CIT reports including lots of chit chat and less facts. Basically good issue reproduction instuctions are the most important thing. So I need to clean up my own writings in CIT too. -

If some model like Popeda Dam or Topolka Dam is not used in any other map is that World category issue then? Or if two models are set inside each other it is ofcourse World issue and not Model issue, right? When same Model in various locations of a map is lacking collision always in a same way it is Model issue, right? Also now that I have gone through whole World category by cleaning titles & descriptions, adding screenshotting or missing repro demos. It feels kind of bad to give away issues to Model category which is more of a mess to look at and contains 4-5 times more open issues, but ofcourse if you are sure something should go to Model category please change category for above issues. -

Firefox 6.0.2 and now that I look it again, I realize I was just fooled by all those blank lines and it does save the filters and the only thing you need to do is to write name for save and manually set is "Sort" which in Browser bookmarks is automatically included. Save seems to be great feature too. I will utilize it now on. Browser booksmarks for set filters will however stay in use too, because I can share them with others and this is something I can't do with CIT query saves. -

Aha! Thank you guys. Never realized there can be multiple filters of same type and only now I noticed that there is indeed square + gadget (in my resolution it was just too tiny for my eyes to comprehend). What a great tool this is. Probably the best bug managing system in whole world we got here. :) Save filter seems to demand filling out the fields once more before there is actually something to save. So I think I'm going to keep on using browser bookmarks of set filters like I have done, just because it is easier for me ( again there could be something better in CIT I have not realized). -

Just a humble opinion: Filter->Status->closed should show only Closed and Expired tickets, not Duplicates. It is confusing to see both Duplicates of open tickets and Duplicates of closed tickets under same filter. I have 3 different suggestions to improve this: 1) The best way to do it would be to make Duplicates show up in open or closed filter depending on their host issue status (the issue that made them Duplicate in the first place) 2) Filter->Status->closed function could be fixed to not to show Duplicates. 3) Adding new filter called Filter->Status->closed excluding duplicates What do you think? Hopefully I don't need to use time for writing what I need it for, but believe it is for common good. :) -

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Thank you. I began to wonder how is it, since I have barely never seen orginal ticket creator for some old ticket to wake up and comment when I add or change something in there. Maybe their notifications go to some email they do not use anymore or maybe they just do not care anymore. -

Hanzu replied to Dwarden's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
What is the difference when Status is Closed or Resolved (how do the moderators know which one to use)? I see some World category tickets have Expired even though pretty much everyone here know World category bug fixes are really rare and maps like Charnarus are unlikely to get fixes regularly if ever. I understand that some category issues are meant to be expired because changes in engine may fix them as a side effect or change original issue behaviour so much that issue ticket just comes obsolete, but could we have some exceptions here like World category issue tickets, so they would never have to expire? Suma wants demomissions or good bug reprduction steps and says screenshots and videos are not as good evidence in CIT, however I feel that in World category demo missions or repro steps are pretty much waste of my limited CIT time or can anyone disagree that in World category issues GPS COORDS in title name and screenshots of the bug are much faster evidence than downloading demomission, extracting it and launching it in game? So basically what I want to hear here is that if provinding demo missions for Wold category issues increases chances to get them fixed or not? CIT is also a great tool, but to improve activity there even more, it would be crucial that at least original reporter would automatically become watcher for his own issue also those who change title or description or provide replys should automatically become watchers. I personally set all issue tickets that I'm involved with any change or comment to Watch state so I can get email as soon as there is new info on the issue. I would like more people to do that too. For moderators it is understandable not to set everythting to Watch since they would be flooding in update email with all their great voluntery work. -
CIT may have limited bandwith since every now and then I can't get there either. The error message in browser was just black text in white background and may give false impression it is related to firewall even though it is not. Try again later too see it that is the case for you too. http://dev-heaven.net/

We all should have checked CIT in the first place by doing a search there with "Trial By Fire" It says clearly there it was fixed in Arma2 V1.10 patch. http://dev-heaven.net/issues/13530

PMC08: Preparation - How to load weapons into chopper
Hanzu replied to OMAC's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Thanks for verifying that. However since 1.59 final has been released already months ago and 1.60 final is released soon, it would be more helpful for the developers to hear how it works with 1.59 or with 1.60 beta patches (which include fixed that will be added to 1.60 final). By looking at CIT I see lots of fixes having status changed to "Upcoming version of BAF" so hopefully it is same for PMC, but this issue is not even reported to CIT, so do not expect much without doing some volunteer work in form of CIT reports to get it fixed. Me too. AI tweaking seems to be the highest priority when looking patch changelogs and that is sad since first impressions wether to stay with the game or abandon it are mostly done according to experiences in content bugs and in single player. -
Problem with mission 'Manhatten '
Hanzu replied to stinger_p's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
When it asks you what type of atrillery attack you want press 6, if still no hit to enemy tank then go to northwest corner of FOB Manhattan and locate UAV control control panel. Remote control UAV and use and fire UAV Hellfire missiles to the tank or APCs you find. Feel free to use UAV for reconnaissance until it is shot down, if still no hit, then go directly behind Cpt. Shaftoe and locate the armory covered with camouflage net and enclosed in sandbag walls. Go in from the eastern side near the UAV terminal. Take Javelin and SMAW and keep them with you in your back and go behind the nearby APCs located under camouflage net south of Cpt. Shaftoe. Transport equipment from the crates to APCs gear storages, located in rear and sides of APCs, until they are both full. You can also borrow one CDF BMP-2 if you consider it better when fighting, at least it is faster. CDF BMP-2 is in GPS COORDS 116055. -
Into The Storm - Why can't I do it?
Hanzu replied to readher's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
Probably not the reason for original thread starter unless he played this mission with beta patch, but something was broken, fixed and broken again for this mission in some of 1.60 BETA patches and now according to the latest comment from Dwarden... http://dev-heaven.net/issues/23755 ...some kind of fix is coming in Upcoming version (very likely meaning 1.60 full patch that is going to be released soon). -
The first time I completed that campaign I collected about 70% of the evidence and still got USMC back with 3 helicopters+3 ambhibious APCs+infantry. The second time I completed same campaign I collected 100% of the evidence and got USMC back with 3 main battle tanks+3 helicopters+3 ambhibious APCs+infantry. Both times Dogs Of War ended to Flawless Victory status and War That Never Was ending.
