According to experiences by me and some others this happens atleast here: in Harvest Red when trying to go areas north of Gorka in Manhattan when trying to go areas south of Vysnoye in Bitter Chill when trying to go all the way south to USMC Khe Sahn in Dogs Of War when trying to go as north as areas south of Krasnostav airfield If you go by helicopter it looks like you were rocketed If you go by vehicle it looks like you were rocketed If you go on foot it looks like you were shot by invisible sniper The weird thing is that there are "it is not too late to turn back yet"-areas where you can order your team to disembark and they are not killed, but if you disembark yourself you are killed instantly. This is probably because otherwise some enemy or friendly AI troops that are on reserve behind this kill area would also be killed by this script. So it only applies to human controlled player I guess.

    New Computer random crashes

    Have you tried the latest beta patch? http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php Check if you have Video memory set as Default or Very High for that graphics card. Because of sound will cut out, I would disabling all sounds ingame or even removing FATAL1TY to see if that causes. I just don't trust to Creative drivers quality anymore so much after all my experience on their products. You could also close all background applications to see if one of them is causing something. Even though it is a new computer, I still would run Memtest86+ and some stess test to see hardware is not causing this. My best advice would be to try things one by one and see if that will remove the problem.
  3. I have completed Manhattan mission three times and I don't remember anyone there telling to go west of Vyshnoye or anywhere near that. The southest place I remember worth visiting is Novy Sobor after first visiting Gorka. I agree it is a "out of mission area killzone" automatically killing Cooper when with a script. There is one in almost every mission of Harvest Red campaign. The fact that you find some enemies of friendlies there is not related to the fact that script kills it is just a coinsidence. Those troops have started inside mission area and moved there later on. It is not new that there are some troops outside mission area. Just take go to UAV and see that there are many some friendly unit markers in southcoast of Chernarus. Just give up trying to get there, it is nothing that would be required for perfect completion of Manhattan. BTW.     SP Helicopter help.

    See this: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=84132 It is quite old guide, but nothing has changed except that AI pilots fly better now and will not land to trees and crash to mountains, but still you need to know how to read map for open areas, if you click helicopter to take you to forested area, it will not go there but chooses something close to it and this something is not always very favorable.

    Manhattan - Chedaki Leader

    When Insurgent Leader Nikitin is alive or wounded, you need to find him manually. Sometimes he goes to meet weapon smuggler (with white Coytota pickup) on road side who bring weapons to insurgent main camp. If insurgent leader Nikitin has been killed, but you have not noticed that or body is not easily find, you can order one of the Razors to find him even when his body is quite far away from where you start: Press F2 or F3 or F4 Press 6 Press 3 Search body Razor Team member should now start to run where Nikitins body is and stop there.
  8. I had game freezed after about 10 minutes of playing and usually my game is very stable. Had to CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to Win7 and saw message about Arma2 RFT has stopped responding.   10. Correct me if I'm wrong but JSRS is a audio-modification for Arma2 CO. So playing old Arma2 campaign that existed before JSRS was even made sounds like begging for sound issues. In these Harvest Red cutscenes video and audio syncronization seems quite special since it is a mix of real animation and player interaction (since you can move your head and view if nothing else). Don't take me wrong I really like Harvest Red campaign and I encourage everyone to play it at least once a year, but my best advice is not to use mods when playing official missions because they are not developed nor tested with mods. You proably have worked around the issue already or quit the campaign, but I just wanted to answer a thread that is not yet 4 months old and had 0 answers.

I totally missed the bold part because I was so excited about reading about isolation of skipping multiplayer debriefing screens. :bounce3: Someone please inform me if programmers succeed to fix multiplayer decisions forgotten between campaign missions.   20. Yea saw those changed to Upcoming version by Dwarden already a while ago, but didn't realize it was you! Big thank you! That really bothered me and my fellow gamers who wanted to complete all those COOP missions properly and because of those bugs we could not. It is a relief I can finally take those links out of my signature when 1.60 final comes out. I would like to know if you had to correct it for every mission separately or was there something in main code that affected those missions. I think there was some missions like COOP 06 Tank Busters where it occurred occasionally but those which I reported it happened always. I suggest Lets just Exipire or Close that [EW] ticket. If I ever have time to play Eagle Wing, I will run into it if it is still reproable and I can re-assign it myself.
  21. I promise to handle all testing (CIT workflow Resolved->Closed) for these fixes in possible beta and in 1.60 final. If they would be will be included in beta, archive size would increase considerably maybe but it would give better quality assurance for final and it would be a cheer up for all content fix lovers after looking all those AI and engine fixes (which are important too ofcourse). :)

I'm afraid we don't see so many fixes from Arma3-busy Yezuro, so I guess we could do that for him in hope of giving him some minutes more for an another fix. :) It would be useful to know if detailed repro steps, GPS COORDS, long detailed title and screenshots are speeding up the bughunting and reproducing process or should I instead just report more than trying to improve old tickets? ---------- Post added at 03:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:02 PM ---------- That was exactly what I was about to say. :bounce3:

Thank you big time! It was one of the most annoying bugs still occurring with 1.60 beta. I also tested last week that falling campouflage net does not do damage anymore to anyone, but I'm pretty sure it was lethal with atleast 1.54-1.58. Anyway very intresting to see how you solved it. Making him sit or just locking his movement. We will see. :) Thank you! Failed to do own ticket for similar problem but Manhattan GPS COORDS 999153 there is a platoon misplaced at bottom left corner of map - in the middle of the sea. I will do CIT ticket for it too. Thank you! I'm intrested to see how this one could be fixed. :) All in all awesome work Jezuro! I will try to make a list tonight of the most fastest bugs to fix, so that possibke second fix day is not consumed by hard or unreproable issues. I assume fixes will come to 1.60 final and not to next beta (which usually does not contain data changes). As I write this I see emails about Sickboy changing issue statuses to Upcoming Version. SB you were faster than me. ;)

  25. Still happened to me with 1.60 BETA and Multiplayer. EDIT Jezuro has verified there is an issue of decisions not transferring between missions and said it is Multiplayer only problem. Programmers have been informed and it is now up to them if they manage to fix it. http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=2039860&postcount=22 Why same issue happened in singleplayer to xALIENAx who says he has never played this mission on multiplayer is a mystery.
