In the campaign I have reached a point called death walley. Then I got an assignment to locate some spotters using a UAV. I'm able to get that into the air. But then I don't understand what to do next and how to find these spotters and eliminate them. So I'm stuck here since after a short time it's announced task failed and the camapaign ends.

Having to do this is what annoys me

Very often when I select to resume the campaign or challange I get an error message saying Unable to load file incompatible version I'm not sure but it seems that this problem arise when the saved game file is getting old. Irritating to often have to revert because my saved game isn't recognized. I don't use any mods

I tried that but I went to the wrong place since I indeed was putting the laser on Charlie squad themselves

In the campaign during adapt and signal lost I notice that unlike before I can't make a user save when I want. It's grayed out. If I quit the game I can save it. And then when I return to the game that saved position can be loaded as a user save. But after dying and trying to load the user saved game I don't get the latest save I did but an earlier point (where I have encountered a couple of soldiers at an APC) which I need to take out in order to get better equipment. This means that every time I fail I must revert to this episode and doing it again. Why can't I save the game after this point ?

Yes that was the setting needed

I left click and a red star with a line to the right appear outside the target reticle. Then I move the center point and when it's over one of the two figures red text saying radar designator appear. I can have it this way up to 30 seconds without anything happening. I actually remember one occasion when I got a 'copy your mark Alpha' but after that nothing happened and I don't understand what I did different at that occasion.

I also have problem with this. I do find two figures on the hill side and I do place the laser designator on one of these figures. I doesn't help and I have tried far more than five times. I don't see exactly what needs to be done. This is one of the things I hate with ARMA that it's so complicated to use.

So I point the laser at the ground adjacent to the figures instead of the figure (one at a time) itself ?

I did so. After a left click I got some confirmation on bearing. Then after a while mission failed. Is just a left click enough or must I point at one of the figures ?

When driving my car around I suddenly dye and see the car on fire. But I heard no announcement about someone being sighted. Also it didn't happen earlier in the camapaign but sometimes I come under fire and that was announced. Now I suddenly just dye sitting in the car.

In the single player campaign I have come to a task where I have arrested a woman Antonia Lagushina and I'm supposed to escort her to a Landing zone. How am I supposed to do that? I can ask her some question but not to enter the car. She won't follow me if we walk away from there. She won't enter the car after my whole team has got into it. She just sits there crumbled down.

No she wont follow me and reverting to an earlier save point didn't help

I own and have played Arma II. Before considering spending money on Arma III I would like to know how ity differes from Arma II. What would you list under this headings ? 1) What has improved compared to Arma II ? 2) Has anything become worse than it was in Arma II ?

I have now watched that video. I often saw blocky and blurry graphics. I have no such problem with Arma II. Is this videoclip from a slow computer causing this problem? I have read rumors that Arma III is badly optimised and requires an insane powerful computer. Is Haswell 4770K (OC 4.5 GHz) with GTX770 and 8 Gb RAM enough?

Does this mean that we don't have real weapons that does exist today? What about the environment is it different from real world and more like a SF movie?

I have reached the point where I have designated some targets with the laser designator and thus destroyed three targets (House,Tank,Covered tanks). After that nothing more happens. The orange way point indicator remains at the top of the hills on the ground at Chyornaya bay (088124) where my team is. Problem is they stay here and do nothing more. If I go away I'm told to fall back and return to formation. Under tasks all are marked green except direct the air strike which was canceled and designate targets which are marked gray and find evidence which is not marked at all. So what do I do now ? The orange way point indicator does move if I make find evidence the current task.

I have encountered occasional crashes to desktop when I resume a loaded single player mission. By manually deleting some saved game files I have concluded that it is indeed the saved game file to causes the crash. Anyone recognising this. I use ARAMII 1.7 with Win 7 x64
