No, The software uses dx9 opposed to dx11, it will still use 9 when 11 is installed.

To be honost, that thing could probably run high besides post at 60+ fps, probably could run maxed with 50+ fps, not sure about that though.

No, you will need a better processor (Preferably a i5/i7/core2quad/phenom II) Also to find out what graphics card you have there is a cool app called cpu-z, that should tell you all your system specs.

6870's and 50s are out, going to replace the 5770's and 50's. The 6950's/70's will be released in November I've heard. Pretty close performance to the gtx 470, so hopefully it will preform well on arma 2.

Sometimes in a game it will drop to about 20 fps when I come across a city or a forested area, is there some way to reduce this? Is it my CPU causing it or my GPU?

found a fix to this, uninstall the ipp included in the setup folder by rightclicking the installer and clicking uninstall. Then install api demo which includes the correct ipp installer and will install automatically.
