Flying in ARMA is very annoying. Just keep at it and practice. It is realistic though and if you land to hard or at a poor angle you will cause mission failing damage to your helio, although ARMA over exaggerates it.

From my experience it seems like spotlights improves the visibility for AI who do not have NVGs. Keep in mind though ARMA works in a very realistic way, which I will try to explain. If you keep a low profile and are prone you will be less likely to be detected. Also you need to take into account terrain and environment and several other factors. Imagine someone over your shoulder with a clipboard constantly rating how stealthy you are. The higher this magical number the more likely you are to be spotted. To sum up: various factors come into play with spotlight detection.

Hello, When I try to load ARMA 2 using my main profile I get an error that says my profile is corrupt on like 164. keyCarWheelLeft and the rest of the lines until 191 are all messed up. I would pastebin it but it does not work when I try to copy/paste it. What should I do?

But won't that screw up all the keys I set.... there must be another way.

Hello, I have been playing ARMA for about a year now and I love it. Today I ran into a very weird issue, when I start playing ARMA for the first 15 minutes I lag like CRAZY, and this is running the same settings I normally use. Also, when I try to play around with my gear during these low FPS times my mouse goes crazy. I system restored my computer to yesterday and it seemed to fix it (I was running at high (normal setting) and I was even able to get a bit more FPS out of it. But then I went from 60 FPS to ~15 FPS and I was forced to change to very low settings which then allows me to play at ~30. Thankfully I was able to get back to 60FPS on high after a minute or two. What is causing these weird FPS issues? How can I fix it?

I set cores=6. I also run a 5750 (I know, just one card away from being able to run ARMA 3). I will try to update drivers.

AI should try to help friends, and they do, or at least with Zeus AI. Just gonna give a bit of a medical rant.... Fentnyl should be used instead of morphine because it works faster in the field that morphine. Morphine takes a while to take affect (5 minutes), with fentnyl it only takes 1 minute, if you DO use morphine a player should have thje pain slowly go away over 5 minutes.

I'm not sure if there is an official plot but still I would like to give my two cents about what I would like. I don't know about you but I like the plots in my games. Personally I want something that is not based int he middle east, instead I would love a conflict somewhere new, a place where no game has gone to in recent memory, North Korea. While yes, I know ARMA 2 does not deal with real countries I think it would be fun to play as an American soldier in a country like North Korea, which might even lead to WWIII (which can be played with more expansion packs). It would also be two modern armies fighting against each other which would be much more interesting to play in. What type of mission do you want to see, or do you not care?

I would love some sort of face customization built in to the game instead of having to edit face.jpg. Editing face.jpg seems like a hard task and it looks as though the poor man got run over by a steam roller.

I was going to do something in my C:\ drive and I like to go to the computer tab to access it. While there I noticed I had a surprise waiting for me, P:\ Inside I found a lot of ARMA 2 stuff... what the heck is up with that? The weirdest part is the drive is the same size of my main 1.5tb drive and has the same amount of space being used. What is going on?

I installed the tools a while ago though. Is there anyway to change the setting for where this stuff is stored?

I was commanding a tank and I ordered it to drive 1000m. I wasn't quite paying attention and the AI driver decided to take a shot cut through a GIANT rock field, somehow he managed to get it in the DEAD center of this area but couldn't find his way out.

What about also reacting to recently shot people on their side? Ie. you shoot someone in the chest a guy should try to aid them. Also, would dead bodies in bushes be visible to the AI or would they need to be standing over it in that case? Also they would have to react in different ways. For example they would try to help a fallen comrade but they would kick a fallen enemy combatant (assuming they are not the nicest people.)

Going off what was said about improved medicine, I think a page should be stolen from America's Army and gives players options a of what to do when someone is shot. I LOVE how AA game me a nice 15 minute lecture and a test about what I learned (both a sim test and a written test). As a future EMT-B I found their system AMAZING! I hope arma can adapt a similar system.
